I think the reason Lexi was missing some of the engrish (like reading "flesh movements" as "fish movements") is because they've said their eyes are so bad they often use screen readers. So it could be that they just couldn't see the mistakes.
00:45 A teacher of mine said it best: "The English language isn't a language but rather five of them stacked on top of one another wearing a trench coat.
Jesus got so lost in translation that Da Vinci's boyfriend was the model the world stuck with as Jesus's "canon" appearance, yet is still a religion with heavy homophobia and racism so I just find that hilarious that they chose as a religion to make Jesus not Middle Eastern in trade of him looking like an actual gay or bi man. Love history and it's chaos. I hate it, but love it all the same. It's a complicated feeling.
I've heard one person describe English as "three or so languages stacked on top of each other and wearing a trench coat disguise". My mom describes it as a "mutt language". Either way, I'm inclined to agree.
As someone who had literature as one of the highest grades in school, the English language is absolutely confusing as all hell and I don't blame people for not understanding everything about it. However there are limits to using that excuse.. Let's just say that if non-native English speakers can understand English much better than native ones, then you've got problems. I shouldn't have to help people spell their own name, in their own language, that they've been carrying around for 30 years.
18:20 If I recall correctly, this shirt showed up on a video narrated by damien(I forgot if it was on his channel, emkay, or sadmilk tho). He pronounced it as Boston Mah-say-uh-chew-bates.
11:30 Well, I'm pretty sure this is either from China or Taiwan. The Chinese word for America (in the sense of the common name of the United States of America; Chinese has a completely separate name for the American supercontinent), directly translated, means "beautiful country."
3:48 the problem here is that testo is dough in russian and test (тесть insert in the translator you will hear the pronounciation) is father in law and that form of these two words is identical. 9:26 it's a bit difficult to describe but hren is a vegetable and a curse word a bit less harsh than fuck. In this case it is the vegetable (the white variation).

Its almost like a form of unintentional autocorrect.

6:35 being able to read the arab part makes this so much better , the arab translation for hotdog is literally spelled ''hoot dooj''
That's so inspiring and beautiful. It's enough to make a grown man cry.

@@cobra29935 hoot dooj.
So it's a phonetic translation to Arabic, and they tried to translate that back to English?

18:15 The funny thing is, 'erster' in German means 'first'. So they actually made an existing word there. XD
Concerning English: "I think you're onto something" vs "I think you're on something"

1:40 Let me get this straight, you only want one sentence - a single combination of words - to mean any one thing? What are you, Syme from 1984?

You should watch "Best of r/Engrish" by Marshal Does Stuff. He is easily the funniest and has the best compilation of them.
We need reactions to Damien Lee
