InspirAspir So when I have ableton life light and i buy max for live for 100$ or sth...can I put the light effects (made in piano roll ) on the keys or it still not work and i really need to buy ableton suite....because it is very expensive and i didnt want to crack :D thank you very much :)

!Windows Buttons!
Copy and drag: Hold down Ctrl
Change the color: Hold Alt and drag up or down
Select multiple notes: Hold Shift while selecting

If you hold the session button and go to either legacy or programmer mode (purple or orange), change your launchpad output to port 2in the preferences, arm the midi track and put in a midi rack with a velocity tool inside, it should work. I had this same problem, hope it gets solved ;D
Inspiraspir i have a question that i want to know very much.So you have a velocity sensitive buttons on launchpad pro.How can you delete this function because when i want a loud sound i have to smash my button and it makes a very loud noise. Thank you
Press the button in the top left corner of your launchpad pro (as seen in this video: ruclips.net/video/JG5WAmidfxY/видео.html , around 7:47)
Then while holding this setup button, look at the third row down on the left. There should be three blue buttons in a row followed by a white button. These are your velocity sensitivities. I believe the ordering goes High, Medium, and Low velocity sensitivity (I may have this reversed, don't quote me on that 100%), followed by the white button, which is off.
So to fix your issue, you could toggle it to off, or maybe low if you want a little bit of velocity sensitivity. But it sounds like it may currently be at high, and you can change it to anything except for high.

Yes you do need to buy max4live separately in Ableton Standard. I have Standard and MIDIExt and MIDIFire so I would know :)

Keep on with that hard work
After effects is an excellent piece of software to make music videos and visualizer! I use it all the time. However, it is expensive and has a VERY steep learning curve. I would only recommend it to people who want to dive in and spend a lot of time getting good at using after effects.
So you don’t need suite for this? Even lite?

How do i add a Lighteffect i made to a button?
I feel like I’m following all of the steps correctly. However for some reason when I play the light-show it acts “glitchy” does anyone know what I’m doing wrong I’m so confused.
Update: I was told I had to update the firmware and it worked in case anyone runs into the same problem.
In this, you talk about controlling the "brightness" of most of the colors to fade in or out. What parameter is "brightness" in Ableton? I know that changing the velocity changes the actual color value; is the point of what you were saying that there are often three different velocity values that produce the same color, but at different intensities? Or is it different from velocity altogether? Thanks for the great tips!
Sorry for the confusion! What I meant to get across was that each launchpad has 3 different velocities for a given color, there is no brightness parameter. For example, with the Launchpad Pro, the velocity 5 corresponds to a bright red, 6 corresponds to a medium brightness red, and 7 is a dim red.
So as you said, "is the point of what you were saying that there are often three different velocity values that produce the same color, but at different intensities" - is exactly correct. Hope that helps!

How to actually launch the light effect by pressing a button? I managed to map the lights but I can't figure out how to assign that specific effect to a button. Any help would be appreciated!
Dont know if you will see this, but when I press the right arrow key it will not draw in the note, and i have the headphones thing on. Do you know what this could be?

SVBBS well, if you're reffering to what kaskobi does, he literally puts the launchpad on top of a tv on the floor XD
I've never used a TV, but I have put a mask on my recorded launchpad light shows (that is, essentially remove the background from my videos through editing) and then overlay the edited launchpad video overtop background footage

Okay so I tried this with my MKII and every time I draw the notes, the notes draw, but nothing happens on the Launchpad.

Try the following: under the name of your MIDI track, click the drop down menu and select "None". It most likely currently says Mixer and you see a red horizontal line throughout your MIDI track. When this is the case you can't right click on your track when this is active for some reason. So assuming this is the problem, if you change it to "None" that should fix it for you :D

By that I just mean your cursor could either be used as a pencil tool, which is used to draw in notes at the click of a button, or a selector tool, which allows you to highlight notes by clicking and dragging to create a box. You can switch between these two modes by pressing the 'B' button on your keyboard

show us how to make a project with 2 launchpads
its easy, create for tracks (LL, LR, RR, RL) and first L/R means set input as Left or Right launchpad, the second L/R means output. Do the lights you want to be triggered by the left and be displayed on the left in the track LL, triggered by left and display on right on LR, and so on, hope i could help

Im having trouble with the fact that when I press play, nothing happens, I can get light feedback by touch, but play does nothing for me, do I need to be in session mode? Or does this not work in ableton lite? Im seriously confused right now, if anyone could help that would be great (Currently im in user 1, but ive noticed user 2 doesnt work, either)
Also, I know that he said that a certain plugin wouldn't work in lite, but I saw no reference saying that this is particularly using that plugin
