      Same goes for people who expect near enough the full retail price, when they've had it over a year or possibly more. It's no longer perfect, and probably last season's and has probably been reduced in sales since they've bought it. Theres no guarantee or warranty, and the chances of you getting you money back if something isnt right is significantly reduced.
      I was looking at a wayfair table recently. I appreciate they probably paid full price for it, but the time of them selling it, it had been reduced in wayfair and wayfair was also offering free delivery. She was selling the table for more than it was listed on wayfair, and the table had the odd scratch, and I would need to pay a man and van to collect it. I pointed out it was over priced and I got the reply "go f**king buy it off there then.
      Also a freind of mine was trying to sell her 5 year old sofa for £900. She had 3 kids and a dog, so it had been very well used. I told her it was overpriced to which she replied I paid nearly 2k. "Yes, 5 years ago" I said about a year or 2 after you bought it, it probably would have went half price brandnew. You paid so much because back then it was the latest design. There's probably been 3 or 4 newer designs since then, it worn and you bought it on HP! Obviously that ment she paid interest. Again she probably wouldn't have paid no more than £10 delivery whereas the buyer would be lucky to get a man and van for less then £30! People need to take those things into consideration before they sell things. Obviously I don't know what you've sold or how you price, but its something I see alot of. Sellers going of what they paid rather that what's its actually worth.
      On the flip side I've also experienced selling something really cheap, because I just wanted rid, or even giving stuff away and I get messages like "will you deliver to somewhere 20-miles away?" Or "will you save it for a week next Friday?"
      "No, I bloody won't"

      I had a few TVs for sale, a bed and a couple of area rugs. The TV's and bed brought a huge amount of traffic. 90% courted me with "Is this still available" and that alone. The remaining responses that asked about location, pickup, delivery pricing etc are the first ones I replied to and also the ones who I struck up deals with.
      I'm offering real life experience advice. If it's a hot item, you're lowering your chances of snagging a good deal by wasting time with that question. But do what you want to do. Me? I just copped a Roku Ultra listed for 50 for 20 by being direct, polite and following thru. Again... Do what you want to do

    I have a couple of questions:
    1. Do you think it’s safe to use a credit/debt card to purchase on Facebook market?
    2. If you find a item you’re interested in but the seller is not around you (example I’m from Ohio and the seller is from New York) and don’t have it as buy now, how do you work that out?

    • @mikesunboxing
      @mikesunboxing  3 года назад

      i would always try and use a escrow system or paypal for safety. You can use credit card through paypal if that makes sense. And talking to the seller or buyer is the key thing to resolve payment, and transportation

    0:50 Give specifications on models of the product, give good pictures of the product from all angles
    3:00 Theirs a seller rating system on Facebook, ask the seller why their selling it for so cheap?, take screenshots of the conversation you’ve had with the buyer/seller for validating your order and proof for the m being bad,
    7:15 arrangements to Meetup (don’t go to a house, meet the best place to Meetup especially in social areas and go with a friend and tell people where your going )
    8:15 Check out the goods, test the product (if the seller doesn’t let you test it, alarm bells should be going on)
    9:50 Don’t pay with cash because it’s not traceable, Facebook provides a buyer/seller protection scheme
    11:15 Don’t be rushed (make sure to go everything with the seller before buying the product)

Bought the item for someone else and they didn't want it so I was forced to resell and decided to up the price considering there is a good chance of it still selling. From the publish tools theres tabs such as 'account' 'messages' etc. From there go into those setting n play with them. Theres also videos tutorials n fb forun for everything. Be patient it takes time to develop these digital skills.
