Wether you like Boston or not, there are no excuses to getting swept. If you can't manage 20 point leads, you simple don't deserve to win. Boston took this series, cause they kept pushing. And i just want to make 2 things clear. Boston had the best record in the league BY FAR. You just had to actually watch the games and look at their roster to see that they would have walked through any team in the east anyways, healthy or not. Secondly, since when are the Mavs heavy favorites over the Celtics? Cause i see people everywhere talking about the Mavs absolutely destroying them in 5/6 games. Luka and Kyrie need to be on their A side every game if they want to overcome the Celtics fire power, especially if Tatum keeps his current form. People who are heavily favouring the Mavs (which shouldn't even happen in the 1st place) are gonna be disappointed. I am saying this as a neutral basketball fan, cause i don't really support any team. I still don't see any team beating Boston in a 7 game series.

Honestly, I can see Kyrie having one 30+ point game and PJ Washington having one 20+ point game to get them 2 wins in the series. I don't think as a team they have enough scoring versatility to take 3 or 4 games from the Celtics. And that's assuming Luka still scores 30, Jones has his 12, and Gafford has his 10 every game.
The Celtics are averaging 111 ppg in the playoffs and the Mavs have only hit that mark in 6 of their 15 games (3 of which were against the Clippers in the first round).

The ESPN clowns would criticize the C's if they won by 20 and would say they should've won by 30. They're clearly biased, and their opinions should not be taken seriously.

Boston most definitely earned those wins. They didn’t fold under pressure. Good for them. As a non Celtics fan my take is this: you either blow the Celtics out or lose.

The difference in this series was experience. That is it. Boston capitalized on the pacers inability to finish games. The Celtics played great and deserved to win the series. And im a die hard pacers fan.

They didn’t give it away. They are a young inexperienced squad who made costly turnovers against the team that has been there many times before and did not falter down the stretch. watch Pacers regular season games this was a common theme for them to not performing clutch time. They are still growing.

I get that the players for Indy were inexperienced, but what was wrong with Carlisle? How does a seasoned, Finals winning coach not call timeout to advance the ball in game one, not call timeout in 3 and tell Nemhard to stop racing up the floor, and go 3 minuteswithout scoring in game 4 and not call atimeout to calm down and set up a play? Carlisle is mostly to blame for this.
