- Penny Mordaunt MP developed an interest in politics when working in the hospitals and orphanages of post-revolutionary Romania. Here she talks about how the use of smart power is essential to strengthen our democracy.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. the country isn’t ever run by just one person. As in China and Russia.
The decisions that are made are voted on by the whole house.
So the end game is always the same anyway as I see it.

This is being written in July 2022, on the day that Prime Minister Boris Johnson offered his resignation. Penny Mordaunt is excellent, and she could very well be the next Prime Minister. I think she would be good. Being in the USA I only just learned about her a few days ago.
@@serenityinside1 Not ex military. The navy gave her a honorary captain title. She's never been on a ship as far as i know. As for reserve, she says she's a sixth reserve. There's five levels of reserve. No one knows what a sixth reserve is.

That this is being praised as an impressive speech (and speaker) says an awful lot about our diminished expectations of politicians these days. Even Theresa May had more oomph in her rhetoric than we hear in this anodyne sermon.
