Yes, yes, yes. Thank you for mentioning that! I love the solos on this album and Force of Habit album, but Changing of the Guard in particular has some of the best solos H Team had done imHo.

I think the problem is the same as on Anthrax's Persistence of Time album - both have too many words in their lyrics and thus singing sounds like singers are reading phonebook. :)
It’s funny you say that, Tero. In addition to loving Impact, Persistence of Time is my favorite Anthrax album, by far. Maybe there’s something to what you say, but on the positive side for me.
I. Remember going to buy impact is eminent at tower records! I enjoyed listening to that album for the 1st time! I love zetro”s vocals the riffs were plentiful!🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻❤️
Met Tom Hunting after an Exodus show in Hollywood in 2007...very nice, very chill, signed my Bonded by Blood album along with Gary Holt...Framed and on my wall Gents!
Fuck yeah, first Exodus tape I bought at Tower Records in Dublin Ca. It was the only Exodus tape left on the shelf! Still have it to this day. 🤘Horns Up Fuckers 🤘
I love all Exodus albums all of them yes all lol, and I really love this one, every time I play Impact is Imminent i play it twice on a road. Can´t play it just once love it. EXODUS RULES!!!
Question for your veiwer question vdo's: Do either of you guys collect thrash vinyl? What are some of the more sought after album in your collection & what are the albums in your collection that are dearest to you?
I LOVE the 2 different sounding guitar tones coming from each side on this album, that is the first thing I noticed when hearing the song Lunatic Parade which is the first song I ever heard from Impact Is Imminent!
22:49 I make amateur bass cover videos and feel the same way, “If I could go back and...” the strings need to be changed, the feel is off, I flubbed the timing, etc. This is just coming from a guy making amateur videos. I can’t begin to imagine the second guessing that goes on years later when making pro recordings of original material. John Lennon did an interview with Playboy just before he died where he went over basically every song. The amount of great songs he dismisses is incredible. Zetro, I love your vocals on IMPACT IS IMMINENT and respectfully disagree with you. The whole album is incredible and in my eyes, not only the most underrated Exodus album, but most underrated thrash album period outside of the comment section of your channel. I think it’s a superior album to FABULOUS DISASTER, for example, and I’m in the minority. Thanks so much for doing this. Curious to hear about the seven album contract further and looking forward to part two.
Love these Episodes Zet and Walter, they’re so informative and really give us a Birdseye view into what was going on with you guys at the time super cool. looking forward to part two !!! Still wondering if you have any insight or knowledge about The possibilities of any remasters or Deluxe Edition’s that may come in the future since I didn’t collect much of the catalog back in the day I would love to start filling my Exodus collection up but prefer to go for the best possible editions so I don’t have to continue rebuying the same albums over and over. Keep up the great work guys !
Great record. I still remember the day riding out on my BMX with a buddy of mine on the bars, to the Florin Rd. Tower, right next to Sharky's Pool Hall (for those that care) to get my copy. What a way to kick off the Summer! A lot of hits on this album. No fillers at all IMO and my favorite song still to this day from this LP the very first / title track - just relentless!⛧🤘 After all this time IMPACT still holds up. A testament ( see what I did there ) to the writing and execution! By the way I am still trippin' on that record studio up in Albion / Comptche.. Record 2 was it? I've been up that way so many freakin' times and never seen that place. Was it in someone's home or ??? Kudos for mentioning the subject matter of A.W.O.L. -- I still get a good laugh about Ollie North. Bonafide traitor and now revered Fox News commentator. Hysterical as shit! 🤣
I fucking love this album it's my favorite Exodus album and one of my favorites ever. Zetro's vocals are perfect the whole way through and it's just a total thrash assault from start to finish.
Impact is Imminent is my favourite Exodus song ever, I've seen the band five or six times and never heard it live. Think I saw them play Only Death Decides once, but not sure. I think Gary said I.I.I. is Gary's fave riff, so why not play it?
Zet's lyrics on Impact fucking ripped man loved the song Within the Walls Of Chaos..." Turn of a page another name scratched off the list!! Shot between the eyes with a rig still clenched in his fist!!" with that killer riff going along with Zet singing Fuck Ya!!
No offence, but if Tom had done the Impact album, you would have had a catastrophic seismic event worldwide. John is a killer drummer, but simply not an Exodus drummer. So was Paul. I really like Impact, altough not many fans liked it when it was released, thrash was more or less blowing out its last candles by 1990. As a guitar player myself, I still stand in awe of that formidable CRUNCH from hell on that album!
5:25 Always wanted to know when MEGADETH signed to Capitol Records, and of course after their second LP " Peace Sells.." the success of that album / tour. If this had anything to do with your decision to go with Capitol more so than say Metal Blade? Or was Capitol simply the best offer on the table? Thanks!⛧🤘

Hey. Impact is my favorite pre-Tempo Of The Damned era album, but I've had issues with its sound. Like the music is awesome but the album doesn't sound as awesome as for example Fabulous Disaster sounds. Only today after listening to it for something like 30 years I figured out that vocals are a bit too loud. It's like the guitars are really massive and they're eating away the drums. The drums were always an issue on the album I think. They're not consistent and audiable thourgh the whole record, but I believe the vocals might be a bit too loud aswell. I really love this album tho'. I think it's some of the finest music Exodus ever produced. Been a huge fan of this album
Exodus was a band that really didn't need to be on a major label. They were very clear about not wanting to make any ballads or commercialize their sound, sO I never understood what the point was. They would have gotten the proper attention from combat or an independent...... the way I look at it, unless you were going to severely commercialize your sound like Metallica, there's no point in wasting a major label resources when you are purely an underground sounding band.
The last 2 songs were the best songs and should have started off the album. Thrash Under Pressure into Changing of the Guard would have launched the album off better
I remember some of the crazy parties that went on there when you Rick Gary Rob were there are crazy parties there in Albion remember all those parties you guys had their the kids coming when I was parties it was cool back then

Thatks for this Zet!! You fucking rule!!
Sorry guys, this record is the last one in my list of favorites from the band. The production and the mixing is so bad and the songs have no memorable soul in my opinion.
In addition to grunge, I also hope Zetro addresses The Black Album in the Force of Habit episode. Couldn’t escape that album in those days and it had an effect on thrash bands at the time from what I can tell.
Alejandro Muñiz Tello I tend to agree. At the time, it was a disappointing release, especially on the heels of the masterpieces that preceded it. Over the years, I’ve grown to like it quite a bit, but it’s far from a masterpiece.

I agree to Zetro in regards of his performance. Every time I'm listening to III I'm thinking that something is missing especially in the chorus. Changing of the Guard solos are absolutely legendary. Just spectacular on every level.
Yes, yes, yes. Thank you for mentioning that! I love the solos on this album and Force of Habit album, but Changing of the Guard in particular has some of the best solos H Team had done imHo.

The channel Circle of Tone should do an episode on Impact is Imminent.
Impact is still my fave Exodus album, Changing of the guard is hands down still my fave Exodus tune.
Not my fav album but Changing of the Guard is definitely my favorite Exodus tune.
That twin guitar part on Only Death Decides is amazing.
Heavy as FUCK man!! That mid tempo riff makes my hair stand on end.
My favorite fuckin exodus song rn
I find it funny how Zetro don't like his vocal performance that much on Impact, because personally it's my favorite Zetro performance :)
I think the problem is the same as on Anthrax's Persistence of Time album - both have too many words in their lyrics and thus singing sounds like singers are reading phonebook. :)
ruclips.net/video/A1kJJ3RehX4/видео.html I really wonder how Zetro managed to sing this live!

I loved zetros vocals on this.. love spitfire lyrics
That opening guitar riff on Impact is Imminent is one of the coolest riffs I have ever heard!
Lunatic parade is one of my favorite Exodus songs
Thrash Under Pressure is one of my favorites, such an incredible guitar tone! I saw you guys on that tour and it was awesome!
Nothing against Impact, but I look forward to Force of Habit discussions and viewer comments!
I agree. I much preferred Force of Habit. Impact was like Pleasures.. just couldn't get into it as much as the others.
