EXCITING NEWS! I have a brand new FLORAL workshop available, perfect for valentines day and mothers day card making: www.etsy.com/ca/listing/1393818933/spring-floral-watercolor-workshop-step?click_key=f963f344977d564570753ac5b0f98de9e7cd1bdb%3A1393818933&click_sum=26e5af34&ref=shop_home_active_1
I thought of you today as we were driving to our daughter's house. We live in central NY and the trees had this blanket of snow on them making it look like a winter wonderland. I noticed how the snow laid agains every branch and trunk and thought about you teaching us winter scenes and trees with snow-covered branches. I love the sky in this painting. Thank you Julia!
I love how you teach changing things on the fly . Nice to see even a wonderful artist like you isn't always happy with how things look and teach how to correct it .
This is very pretty! I previously traced around a nickel onto blue painter's tape, cut that out, and and used that as my moon in a similar painting. But another watercolor artist uses removable circle stickers, which looked a lot easier. I ordered some, and that's what I'm going to try next time I need a moon or sun. I like for the sticker to be a co!or so I can better keep track of where it is exactly.
Since I am a hopeless beginner, I have had trouble with a dramatic night (or day) sky. You just gave me hope!!!😘. Thank you Julia, and damned the grass…all is good 👍🏻
LG Rosi
I love this! Great job and save too! This is the first painting I saw that made me think it would be perfect to use Daniel Smith's Primatek (Kyante Genuine). It has a beautiful very subtle sparkle to it but I can't justify the price of a tube just for one painting. I'm still going to try this one later today.

Very pretty! ❤
Thank you! 😊
I love the night sky.
Thanks!
Really like this. The sky is my favorite in this piece, beautiful! The tape trick is a good idea if you don't have frisket. Thanks!
What is a frisket?
@Julia Lis Art a brand name for masking fluid.
@Julia Lis Art masking fluid used to be called frisket fluid a while ago.
@@marciamcgrath4953 Ah gotcha! Thank you

What is Primatek? I'm only familiar with the basics!
I used Kyanite Genuine on a different, but similar painting, and it came out great! I believe I mixed it with a little indigo in some places.
Wonderful lesson ! Thank you :)
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you I enjoyed that a lot!❤
Happy to read!
Love it ❤

Hi Julia this is gorgeous, can you tell me what size of watercolour paper you used, thank you x
I think its around 5x7 inches but I cut them unevenly so I'm not too sure.
