That midwife didn’t seem negligent. Truth is if you are at home you are not as close to emergency resus equipment & medications. I have had 3 kids. My fist 2 completely normal natural vaginal births. I would have been considered a ideal candidate for a home birth & all the midwife’s were like, this is going to be a quick one because my last baby came in like 2 hours, but I ended up needing an emergency c-section after:hours of labour. His head was in the wrong position, he was looking up its called a stargazing and just got stuck. His heart rate become erratic & I was whisked off to surgery within 5 mins of them realising he was becoming distressed. You just never know & it’s just not worth the risk in my opinion.
Obviously she didn't wanna lose her child. Women are entitled to give birth however they see fit. Things go wrong. And I don't know if you're a man or a woman but step off and make your own decision and that's your business. This is just a movie but talking about a woman would rather lose your child then go to the hospital is ridiculous and facetious. I cannot stand insipid responses
@@wokewokerton8092 no. At-home births are incredibly risky and things change on a dime when you are giving birth. There are far too many complications and things that can go wrong. That reasoning of "I wanted my daughter to decide when she wanted to be born" is stupid. My daughter labored for days trying to have a natural birth at the hospital and she was supported every step of the way. Once it became apparent that things had happened that put the baby at risk, she was immediately taken to have a cesarean and gave birth to healthy baby boy with 30 minutes of the decision being made BECAUSE SHE WAS IN A MEDICAL FACILITY WHERE THAT COULD BE DONE FAST. My cousin had an at-home birth and had several complications. Her son was born with numerous disabilities and medical issues.
yeah the whole time I was just like what?why? Then she was like nah she's innocent we wasted the courts time and money, spiraled an innocent woman's life so I could cope with my own mistake. The pacing is also way off but the story didn't explore much anyway.
Sometimes people forget that it's not just the mother who loses the child, but the father too. Men have been expected to toughen up, but their feelings are valid as well. It's sad that we tend to forget that.
What are you on about??! Who's expecting them to toughen up? In reality Fathers want to move on as soon as possible and pretend that nothing had happened.

She was literally asked to go to the hospital multiple times and said no?
She did. These people have nobody but themselves to blame for their daughter's death
But still came off as a "victim." Yaaaaassss Queen. Yaaaaaassss!
But, she is still portrayed as the real "victim" in the movie. 🙄 Cringe.
How was this on the midwife? She told them to go to dye hospital, charge all of them then 🤷🏻♀️
So she'd rather lose her child than go to the hospital... I feel sorry for the poor midwife, to go through all that court drama.

I really don't understand why they are trying to charge the midwife
She should of known better.....

@@wokewokerton8092she should have gone to a hospital
Because for us humans, it's always easier to blame someone else rather than face our own stubbornness and stupidity

He fell back into self destructive behaviors and was also cheating on her
The mid wife is not to be blamed. She did recommend going to the hospital and did her very professional best to deliver that baby safe.
I so love these movie 🍿 recap so I want have to watch the actual movie 🍿
Husband cries and cries ..but this movie about martha
I mean he lost he baby too
What is this movie
Pointless movie
I’m surprised there was only one midwife because usually you have to have two midwives with you when having a home birth.
Martha’s decision killed her baby.
Gee what did you expect? To be different in one of them wants a doctor or a nurse maybe even then why would you gamble with your child’s life?
I would go to hospital no home birth
why husband was told to leave?
