I always love when an actress or actor (though I can't remember the last time i saw an actor do this) does a dual-role like this. It's always quite fascinating to see, like a character study if you will only not as serious.

Nina Dobrev does the same thing in The Vampire Diaries, she play 2 different characteres at the same time that look exactly like each other but they are differente people, even more characteres, Nina and Lana are such a good actress...

I might be wrong but there was a bit of pain in The Evil Queen's eyes during all of this attacking Zelena parts and even when she had to confess why she was there.
Why is Regina's heart black? Wasn`t the whole point of splitting to separate darkness? Plus in 6x14 it`s not dark. I`m confused...
Well, EQ did made her kill Montecristo in the meantime, so I guess her heart could have blackened again because of it?
James D. Tessier that's very good point, but in 6x14 she's clean again, and way after Count Monte Christo , so either choosing love over hate unblackened it or there's continuity error.

It's because even though they were separated here, they were still technically the same person, they were connected: sharing a heart, the darkness representing the evil queen and the light representing Regina. As you saw in a couple more episodes from this one, they split fully, making them disconnect and having separate hearts, hens why in 6x14 whe they fought, Regina's heart was pure. All of the darkness was the Evil Queen: however of course in 6x14 she took some darkness back and gave the Evil Queen some light which was heartwarming to watch

Still loved this. It was like Regina being badass saving her sister, and her sister looking like she had egg on her face as the epitome of "careful what you wish for".
The first season of the show was really amazing, and it stayed pretty good for the next couple or so, but eventually this show just got fucking weird, and I was just ready for it t be over...

I love how we're willing to let Regina die for her sins in the first season and let Zelena die for her sins in the third season. Yet, here, we would pull our swords and guns on the Evil Queen to defend the other two women. Hell, we're willing to let Rumple go for his treachery. He had his reasons, but he would never hurt his family at this point in the show.

I miss watching this show. I stopped after they got off track and kept adding Disney characters. I remember when I was either 13 or 14 I'd sit down with my dad and my sister and we'd have pizza and watch ouat and we'd look forward to find out what happened next for each time we had a movie night.
Why was her heart still dark if her darkness is in the evil queen
Robert Hernandez because even though they are separated they are still connected in a weird way, that's why the evil queen was trying to make Regina kill that one guy because she knows no matter what Regina does there will always be a little bit of darkness in her heart. It's a really confusing topic in OUAT

I think you just have to assume Zelena’s kind of a pushover compared to her old self, since she softened up. It’s the only thing that makes sense, because she was way more powerful than Regina before.

I always found the Evil Queen separated from Regina in Season Six to be the weirdest part of the series. It's like if DC were to write a story where Clark Kent and Superman were completely different people. I know Regina split her in half with Dr. Jekyll's serum, but whenever Emma and her family talk about stopping the Evil Queen while Regina was in the room, I expected someone to point fingers at Regina. I don't really like duplicate characters.

It’s hard to explain but Zelena is sisters with both. Regina basically split herself in half by taking Jekyll’s serum and extracted her evil half of her personality which created a clone in the process with the evil queens full personality leaving Regina with no evil inside her and now fully good with no inner evil conflict.
