I didn't watch any races in 2017 but when I returned to watching F1 (in 2018) I noticed the logo had changed and I was thinking to my self: "What is this?!"
The 2009-17 one was my favourite. Also, when attending a race and seeing it in silence on the big screen in silence it was so exciting - like you normally see this in front of your TV but here you are live knowing loads of other people are seeing it at home on TV with sound, but you have swapped broadcast sounds and commentary for the real atmosphere of the race and the fans. The energy in that opening gave me such a buzz!
1994 the electric guitars superb. Trent Rezner should do the opening music. The opening credits look like the start of an episode of Gold Rush on Discovery Channel....
That was my favourite. The last ones with these cult of personalities... no thanks. Reznor would be defititelly a good choice. But I bet the owners wouldn't think him PC :D They are too pussies to choose him. The Chrystal Method would be also a great choice.

The intros from 1994 to 2011 are pretty dope. The music in the 1994 one is really good and the fast tempo and the V10 engine sounds in the 2003 one makes it outstanding
The 1994 intro for me is what Formula 1 about (well should be about). The liberty media ones remind me to American reality game shows...proper Hollywood kitsch.
I remember as kid, sat in fronr of TV, waiting for F1 race to start, the 1994 intro for 2001 and 2002. Then 2003 with the screaming V10 intro. Then comes the 'slicks' intro for 2009-2017.

I worked at the studio that did the 2003 one, I never got to work on it but remember Dave working on it. Took me about 10 years later to realize the 1 in the F1 logo is in the negative space and not the bit at the side
They should keep the 2019 intro, make it darker like 2018, and make the last part with the f1 logo more like 2009-2017, with adrenaline Side note, since 2020's intro has the 70 years race flashbacks, they could do the same next year, but with one track. Let's say this week f1 races at Interlagos. You could add some highlights of that track, like overtakes, special corners and yes, IS THAT GLOCK, between the driver sequences (like 2020), and the last scene (after hamilton and before the f1 logo) could be the last year's winner of that grand prix
The coolest F1 intro to me was the 2009 - 2017 one. The 2006 - 2008 iTV one featuring “Lift Me Up” by Moby was also amazing. The current one is great, mostly thanks to Bryan Tyler’s theme but I don’t get as excited as I did with older intros.
2003-2008 my childhood theme. Decent yet agressive. Short but with impact. Later variations were too flashy imo. I don't like Liberty Media themes. They're like openings for some bad everyday Netflix show.
