Picture the movie scene. A teenage boy has a burning passion for dance which isn't understood by anyone else around him. After an intensely angry arguement between the boy and his father, in which the lines 'just because you sold out your dreams, doesn't mean you get to screw mine too' and 'you walk out that door and you ain't coming back in', are exchanged, the boy runs out into the night. He finds an abandoned basketball court, and, in a moment of pure passion and anger, bursts into an impromptu but strangely professional 'frustration dance' as '80s style Boulevard Of Broken Dreams' plays in the background. It's raining heavily, but the rain only adds to the drama. The song quietens as it nears the end, and the character, feeling hurt but simultaneously rejuvenated by the dance, walks off the court. He reminds himself that tomorrow is another day, and no matter what anyone says, he will pursue his dance passion. Fin. Edit: Thanks for the comments, you legends. To those who are telling me my movie scenario isn't original. I know this, and tbh, that's kind of the point. The song is so achingly reminiscent of 80s high school/ dance movies and musicals, particularly those frustration dance scenes from the likes of Footloose or HSM3, that I was merely presenting an almost parodic version to highlight how ridiculously perfect this song would be in such a scene. It was the summer of 87, a late stormy night. I just graduated from highschool. I was in an argument with my parents. They couldn't understand my love for that girl. So after they went to sleep I packed everything I had and went to the post to call her. I told her to get ready bc our little east coast town can't understand our love. She agreed to come with me. We took the very first train we saw. My wife was scared but we listened to music and she calmed down. That's how we discovered this song. One day later we arrived in San Francisco. Some punk people helped us find a place to sleep and then we found jobs at music shops. 3 years later we opened our own coffee shop.

I walk a lonely road
The only one that I have ever known
Don't know where it goes
But it's home to me, and I walk alone
I walk this empty street
On the Boulevard of Broken Dreams
Where the city sleeps
And I'm the only one, and I walk alone
I walk alone, I walk alone
I walk alone, I walk a-
My shadow's the only one that walks beside me
My shallow heart's the only thing that's beating
Sometimes I wish someone out there will find me
Till then I walk alone
Ah-ah, ah-ah, ah-ah, aaah-ah
Ah-ah, ah-ah, ah-ah
I'm walking down the line
That divides me somewhere in my mind
On the borderline
Of the edge, and where I walk alone
Read between the lines
What's fucked up, and everything's alright
Check my vital signs
To know I'm still alive, and I walk alone
I walk alone, I walk alone
I walk alone, I walk a-
My shadow's the only one that walks beside me
My shallow heart's the only thing that's beating
Sometimes I wish someone out there will find me
Till then I walk alone
Ah-ah, ah-ah, ah-ah, aaah-ah
Ah-ah, ah-ah
I walk alone, I walk a-

YOU KNOW IT TO BE TRUE!!!
1986 80s slasher
I love that thanks to my older brothers I know of bands like Green Day, and that I have an appreciation for older things like tech, music, etc. I wouldn't even know of a lot of the cool and awesome stuff I do if I didn't grow up with them.
I Need this on Spotify! Its great
pepeJAM
Is it on Spotify?
@@Lenny-sy3yd no u 😞
Zrrmen Paul yes lol
Omg imagine if you got in contact with them and you got them to do a live performance of this. That'd be sick!
This is fucking amazing. Everyone's doing metal versions and then theres this fucking masterpiece holy shit
Me apaixonei por essa versão, sério bate uma nostalgia que chega a arrepiar, muito bom! Amei seu canal💜
I can just imagine something like this being used in Stranger Things😂

Would be more fittibg in 13rw
Maybe in season 3 it will be Jonathan new ‘s favorite song
Better in "Dark"
Same
Welp, I'm here because Mike himself shared it on Instagram, congrats! Amazing remix
80s versions of any song makes them sound thrilling and from the night.
I actually prefer this version. Still love the original I normally listen to both version back to back. Big thumbs up to whoever made this remix 👍😃
better than the album version, by leaps and bounds. very well done. if this had come out during my childhood in the 80s, i would have been rocking the shit out of it.
Mike just reposted in his insta 😂
🐀💎
Dude this is.. ..i dont have words to say how this can be AMAZING
After MCR and now this SUBSCRIBED, you made these songs like totally tubular and far out
Who else here from the guy dancing with the gun😂
Bruhh lmfao It took me months to find this song too

I'm just crying. So beautiful
hyperborean memories of my ancestors are flashing inside my mind
Best version !! Here in 2019 🌊
This is so nostalgic. And I wasn’t even alive in the 80’s
I could totally see this being in the movie Farris bueller's day off 😂
This song takes me back to the beautiful years of elementary school, when I just spent the days playing in my yard with my friend, now I’m gonna turn 44 years old and I’m showing this to my children.
Oh fuck, good memories!!! 😭🧡
This seems like it would be perfect for a redemption montage scene. The hero battles with his inner demons as he trains to comeback from rock bottom.
Nice work human
This makes it sound like a Phil Collins song 😍
Subbed for life if you keep pushing out these awesome remixes. Thanks man
*Timeline where the 2000s and RUclips happened much earlier.*
Johan Olsson you are a freeking genius !!! I would buy an album full of these treasures they make me so happy.
i appreciate this more than i do a lot of things.

I WASNT EXPECTING THIS
mysteriously my dad likes the original more, but this version is awesome :v
FERBGUNNERXX think my Dad would prefer this one more, as it’s his era
not so mysterious, and era has nothin to do with taste especially these days i was born in 1990 but ive been obsessed with 80s and 70s since i was about 15 and i used to internet to feed that taste.
Danomite but those who lived through the 80s would be drawn to the sound anyway
not necessarily , im not drawn to music that was around during my child hood and teens, there are people who grew up in the 80s that arent drawn to 80s music and maybe prefer modern stuff. youre maiking a naive generalization that doesnt apply to everyone
both are awesome
I like this music
El uriel caga parado
I still remember when I first heard this song back in 1985. Seems like it was yesterday.
This is pure gold.
