I'm so happy you took the time to read the notes. So few reactors do that and their message is so important. I've been to few concerts recently where Tim actually makes a plea for everyone not to let the outside influences to separate us into... us and Them. He said there is only us. This is the Home Free philosophy that they so often go back to in their music. Thank you, for your reaction.
Marg Fried, i was thinking the exact same thing! I know the song is an "anti-war song", but it is also a song about how one person can see the world, and another one see it completely different, but still in the same world.
It is time to start finding the stuff that combine us, rather than the stuff that makes us different! (Cliché i guess, but the one thing that combines us all, is love!)

It’s up there I will agree. But I can say stop children is another amazing one. But this one is more somber.
When HomeFree does 5 part harmonies there is no other Acapella group that can touch them. Everything about this version is to provoke thought and that it clearly does. I love the fact the HomeFree never shy away from possible controversial subject matter.
This one is like going to church with a big pipe organ. Home Free's harmonies are unmatched.
I'm glad they didn't have Adam do any beatbox on this. It's a serious and somber song and they did it justice.

The last lyric is "we're fools to make war on our brothers in arms" not forced (a common mistake). That puts a different spin on it. I have two words to describe this video - ethereal and haunting.
As the daughter of a WW2 vet and the mother of an Iraqi vet, this song really hurts my heart. You are so right, Sir; we are allowing ourselves to be manipulated into camps, pitting one against the other. I hate that! Love one another. We're all we've got. Together we can survive anything. A house divided cannot stand. One last thing....those last two notes....sound exactly like a pipe organ. Masterful!!
You are so correct, "A house can not stand divided". The powers that be are trying their best, and succeding, in doing that. They must be jumping with joy !! We are fools for allowing them to manipulate us.
How did we get to this, why were people so blind? I'm 58, I saw this in the 70's in school and was told I didn't know what I was talking about ( my parents immigrated here in 1956 from Austria), but I was told about the horror of socialism and to never blindly believe what I was told, to question everything...do my homework....think for myself and look for the contradictions and to make my own decisions. And yet, I yell, scream, badger ( metaphorical) do my best to present facts...to again be told that I don't know what I am talking about.

Home Free gives a message of remembrance done to perfection. This hits "the feels" deeply but beautifully and forces us to reflect a little. Truly exquisite!

Dave, if you haven't listened to the original version of this song, by Dire Straits, you owe yourself to do so. Home Free does an amazing tribute to it here, but the original is still something everyone should listen to.

Man . . . chills from hums, then a journey of emotion driven by the ever transitioning harmonies that ran the gambit between hallowed to heavenly. Home Free at it's best. This is a masterpiece from Home Free. A very emotional song that has lost nothing of its topicality. The harmonies are on point, absolutely fantastic. Tim and Chance's voices are phenomenal. These guys did a damn good job. Wow 💥

I listened to the original Dire Straits version written after the British Falkland Island war and also the version by Club for Five that did the arrangement Home Free used. But Home Free’s version is my favorite. Very profound and haunting. Thanks for your reaction
One of Home Free's 5 part harmony masterworks. They took an already iconic song and elevated it, and then put a perfect video together to boot. It doesn't get any better than this.
It feels like listening to a story being told beginning with Tim giving us the introduction, Adam provides the main part of the story, and Tim is delivering the conclusion and final words of wisdom. All packed in insane harmonies, rollercoaster ups and downs of emotion. Hands down the best version of this song I've ever heard.
Also, have you noticed Tim when he sings "every man has to die" and he is standing in front of the window? The window frame forms a cross on him while he appears to be translucent - like the ghost of a fallen soldier.
The only other group i have heard do this song is Celtic Thunder both groups do this so beautifully. Great reaction Dave as always 😊❤️
I think that the reason these guys arent even more popular is because they are not singing the agenda. The media and the powers at be need the strife where as the other side just wants everybody to be left alone to live their best lives. It is sad to see what is coming in 2022 but please keep faith and hope. Much love from another Dave in Canada
PERFECTION! HARMONIES! MESSAGE! This completely broke me down so deeply and touched my heart and soul! Took me a while to recover! Tim with his incredibly insane bass notes and Austin's ridiculously soaring tenor, the contrasting sounds are majestic! I think this performance is absolutely phenomenal and perhaps their best harmonies yet! This video continues to bring me to tears every time I hear it and your reaction was fantastic! Thank you very much. I might be mistaken but it looked like I could see your eyes watering up some! Which is awesome because I do the same thing frequently, especially with Home Free! Just from the overwhelming beauty of their voices! I could listen to this non stop 24/7 for a looonnggg time! I really respect and appreciate Home Free and the stand they take for unity, inclusion and love for our fellow man no matter what our differences may be! Great reaction, Dave. Such a beautiful yet haunting song. My favorite line “We have just one world, but we live in different ones.” A message that rings so true today.
They set the tone immediately by singing in a minor key, then the videography with them being semi-transparent showing that, even though they are in "civvies" they are deceased warriors and they are singing for ALL brothers in arms, even those on the other side. Great writing, great presentation, and outstanding singing talent as always.

I've never heard "fish swimming through cheese" before. That said, the harmonies in this one are haunting. They did the legendary Mark Knopfler and Dire Straits proud.

Yes! This did it again! They pulled out all of the stops on this one! It’s a powerful cover and they did it masterfully! I get chills during so many places in this song! It’s phenomenal! Everything about it is so dramatic, but as some have said, it’s haunting, and I agree! I cannot listen to this one enough! I find myself seeking out reactors, or just going to Home Free’s channel and watching it repeatedly! I sure thought it would go viral, but it’s not one of those, sadly, that will get enough attention, being that this nation is so divided. Speaking of divided, it makes me wish Home Free would cover Brotherhood of Man’s cover of ‘United We Stand (Divided We Fall) from way back. It’s very fitting for current times, and I think they could and would definitely could work their magic with that one.

Dave yes Home Free created another masterpiece. This is as touching as the original by Dire Straits. They gave us those harmonies to replace the incredible guitar solo...it's a masterpiece
Technically Susanna Hietala and Jouni Kannisto gave us those harmonies - they arranged this for their group Club For Five, 10+ years ago, and Home Free is using their arrangement. And yeah that Club For Five version includes the super-low bass melody, originally written/arranged for Tuukka Haapaniemi.
Home Free did get permission to use this arrangement - Tim reached out to Tuukka about that - and [EDIT] they did add credit a few days later after Tuukka messaged Tim about that. Simple oversight, Tim apologised to Tuukka, and we're all good now.
Home Free does give credit to them their page that's all that matters,even if the reactors don't some people don't look at the credits.

@@miamidolphinsfan kokkidaa is correct - Home Free initially forgot to credit Club For Five, but fixed that a few days later after Tuukka messaged Tim about it.
On balance I like Home Free more than PTX, though I am a fan of both groups. I'm definitely not here to hate on Home Free.

This is an unbelievable MASTERPIECE. The opening with Tim should have been sung this way. A deep guitar resonance opened the original. DIRE STRAITS wrote and sang this song about the conflict between ENGLAND( the Mother Country) and the FALKLAND ISLANDS. IT WAS WAR ON THEIR OWN! SPECTACULAR!!!

Song-wise this made me think of "Sounds of Silence." Simple, but powerful. This sent shivers down my spine.
If you pay attention to the silhouette, it (Tim) represents the ghost the ghost of a dead Soldier......telling the story of war, and what it is/was....
I too love the harmonies so much. I get goosebumps, close my eyes and feel that the angels sound just like that. That’s the first time I heard this song. It definitely takes you to a different level that sometimes you just want to stay there for awhile. By the way, I love chocolate covered marshmallows too; rocky road yum. Can do without the Guinness but I’ll make up for it with the marshmallows.

Such a genius touch to show the silhouette of the fellas in front of the window. I know some see it as a "ghost"y reference but it strikes me as a reflection of the POW/MIA flag. We'll never know just how many of those met the same fate as the soldier of this song. 😥

I found out the other day that Tim's dog is laying right behind Chance pretty much the whole time.
I have always loved this song by Dire Straits but think Home Free did an excellent version of this song. Tim's natural bass was awesome & so were all the guys doing 5 part harmonies.

Like I said before nobody out does Home Free when it comes to harmony and the message is on point we need to quit hating each other and show some love instead.
