LOVELY WARNING BERRIE. We have just bought a very genuine car from a friend of a friend. they have known each other since they were 16 and the car for the past 17 years. His son has for the last 10 years serviced Her. She is LC 53 so Elsie. I then looked at many reviews on RUclips including Geoff Buys Cars who drove one once. He warmed to the Citroen Xara Picasso eventually. £600 well spent. Love David and Lily. Yes the 2 litre Diesel.
I love the scams, they are sad but its interesting to see what they are up to, there are so many people out there willing and ready to take you for the fool. I watch a show on CNBC called American Greed, its been going for years, its an education, one episode I will always remember was called "Miracle Cars" almost new cars for little money, its worth a watch. Many episodes include conning wealthy people out of millions.
That phone scam often relies on an antiquated feature of the UK landline system. Specifically, both ends of the call have to hang up before it actually finishes. So then the scammer just doesn't hang up, listens whilst the victim types in a number and then pretends to answer. The victim can even type in a legit number and this still works.
Used car dealers have a bad reputation, but as it is with most trades, there are wonderful businesses and overall, used car dealers are working hard, providing our communities with a wide range of cars and they serve those well who wouldn’t necessarily be safe on the private market and cannot afford main dealer prices or don’t have any desire for new or newish cars. I feel for dealers, all small businesses are under pressure and are forced to quit. It would be a shame if many folded and millions in the UK found themselves with no safe, convenient and local options to buy affordable used cars.
I arrived at my elderly mother`s last year while she was talking to the `POLICE` after several different calls and people spoke with her/me. I said I would not give her credit card to their courier unless I had personally shredded it twice. They hung up 😡
These scammers aren't that clever Barrie... if they had bothered to watch your content they would have quickly concluded that you were far too shrewd to be taken in by a bar of chocolate.
Sound advice always check the email domains and the site links. also watch out if you download said documents they too can contain code to take over your machine etc. Ensure you have a backup thats not connected all the time etc all things you need and with AI now helping it can make someone with poor written English come across as the best English graduate well at least within the US at the moment.
I get very suspicious of youtubers who have 'sponsors'. 'Todays sponsor is....... 🤔. Then they'll have link with a 'discount code'. I can put up with RUclips bunging an ad in but if youtubers push other merchandise it makes me think im being conned.
Same, I run my line through a VPN which filters out youtube's annoying adverts, but when a youtubers starts promoting crap I stop watching no matter how good they are.
@ You may or may not have sorted it. But to test, watch another RUclipsr on your phone. Turn the vol down so you can just about hear it clearly. Now watch some of your past videos. If you have to turn your vol up, that’s the problem.
@ if you right click on the video you will see “stats for nerds”, you should see that the normalised content is 100% and RUclips have actually turned it down by 3.9% because it was too loud, I’m at a loss as to what the problem is
How many mics? ………..And I still wonder if my hearing aids are working……….Good advice for us aged ( and young - if any are watching) … but can you TURN THE BLOODY SOUND UP!
E mail address says everything sometimes. Instagram is full of adverts for crap pretending to be a UK company. Most of these are from China and if you are not happy and ask to return the item, it costs a fortune to send it to China. On saying that, I did get a very nice little padded jacket on on of these ad but it too 3 weeks to arrive. It had a small mark on the collar at the back, no big deal, but they sent me a new one.
Good advice and you can't have too many warnings. Bye the way, did not realise you were a mic hoarder. Sound more than adequate on this video. I had wondered whether your sound issue was with echo or bounce back from the room you record in. Maybe that's why studios have sound absorbing tiles ? Just saying. ......
Put one mic on your jacket. Put the other mic infront of you high up. (Try clipping to side of laptop screen, as long at the button pressing doesn’t annoy us too much)
I have two outside shirt, 2 round neck, 2 by laptop, two piped into the camera, and mics recording independently, I can’t find anything wrong and even the videos show that RUclips are turning them down in order to broadcast at a level equal to other creators,
So fed up with decent you tubers, who go down the selfish route of doing these advertisements on the channel to bag some cash, and to push off endless adverts on to public..when you tubers jump on the more adverts band wagon, pushes me straight to unsubscribe button..
And yet RUclips put adverts on videos that aren’t monetised by the creator so we aren’t doing anything wrong are we, do you get paid when you go to work?
You've got an EV? I'm out. Anyone who participates in the the EV movement is a participant in the destruction of the competitive automotive industry. I can't stomach people who flaunt wealth and shit on the poor while playing both sudes of the fence.
I really enjoyed this Barrie, keep um coming.
Thanks, will do!

@@BarrieCrampton I've never missed an episode, some people are greedy, some are gullible, some both, thanks.
Sound has been a lot better recently. Enjoying the content, keep going.

Sounds clear enough on this one excet for the rustling noise occasionally
You do need to turn the Mics on! Wear contrasting coloured ones, it would help with our minds.
They sound perfect on my equipment

@@BarrieCrampton well it doesn't come across as perfect!
@vulcanvoyager but it shows as 100% and it does on all my equipment I’ve tried all different mics, honestly at 50% on my stuff it’s perfect,
I haven't had a Tablerone bar for ages......

@ compromise, this is my job, if I don’t advertise then RUclips would put adverts in anyway, sorry but that’s the way it is
Probably based in india.
