Do you know about the DataExplorer Package? Try out DataExplorer::create_report(). Just pass a dataset as an input. You can optionally specify a response variable. Customization possible. Creates a markdown document.

Agree it doesn't make sense. But can happen, when the model has no explanatory power, and a correction is applied to an R² close to 0.
