This comment is almost a decade old, so in a sense I'm responding to your question more for myself. But the answer is no. You cannot change others. If you are "stuck" with people who are dragging you down or keeping you stagnant, it's not up to them to change for your benefit, nor is it your job to change who they are so you can be more productive. Change *yourself*, and the people around you will match you, or fall to the wayside.

To a certain extent I am stuck with "my" people. Is it wrong to push them towards the positive. lol, I will change those I am stuck with. Yes? Yes?!
