    Great video for an existing HD. I want to put a new HD in my P70-A and then Win 11. Can it be done basically the same way? I got confused at the point where you choose between the two choices to write on your old HD, since this will be a brand new HD.

      Yes, if you wish to replace the old HDD with a new one, it would be the same process.

    Thanks for the helpful tips as always, and great video. Can I please ask for your help for a question I posted on your last video of "Lenovo Chromebook Yoga 11e Full Teardown / Disassembly"?
    My lenovo laptop keeps shutting off due to a Kernel issue Event ID: 41"The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first"
    The details are in my previous comment in that video
    Thanks for reading this and have a nice day

      1. Is your system fully updated as seen here? ruclips.net/video/kX8bB725Ljw/видео.html
      2. Also, did anything happen before this issue appeared? Liquid spill, overheating, Windows update, etc?

    • @shock789

      @@PC_Monkey The software for windows 11 is fully updated. I will check on other updates if needed.
      I will copy paste my previous comment.
      Hello great video. I have a question. My Lenovo
      legion 5 pro (intel i712 windows 11) laptop
      randomly restarts for no reason. Event ID: 41 task
      category (63) "The system has rebooted without
      cleanly shutting down first. This error could be
      caused if the system stopped responding, crashed,
      or lost power unexpectedly."
      I am using the lenovo vantage program to keep my
      battery at 80% max. and 20% min. I usually shut
      off my laptop after use (via alt + f4 shutdown) so it
      generally stays at 79% plugged in. I use dgpu (rtx
      3060). when it boots up again the battery shows it
      is at 100% and battery conservation mode is
      turned off while rapid charge is suddenly turned
      on. not sure if it is the main issue or not.
      My laptop does heat up, but I am not sure if it's an
      overheating problem as there is no residue heat
      onto the table. other context info on battery life is
      the intended voltage is 15.44V while the intended charger from the box is feeding it 17.56V so that
      might be the main issue as well but I am not sure.
      How do I fix this error? My laptop shuts down
      randomly even though its new, please help.

    • @PC_Monkey
      @PC_Monkey  Год назад +1

      @@shock789 So it def sounds like you may have a battery issue. If the battery is 15.4V and the charger is 17.56V, that is def not good for your battery. Also, leaving a computer plugged in all the time, harms the battery. Batteries need to charge and discharge regularly to stay healthy. Also, the vantage program managing the battery could also be interfering with the normal driver. I would try replacing the battery first.

    • @shock789
      @shock789 Год назад

      @@PC_Monkey Wow that is surprising to hear since I thought lithium-poly batteries took a bit of time before degrading. Mine says it only did 9 cycles on the program and it shows good health (80wh as intended) on the vantage program though I have to check if this is true with my store on that.

      1. Was your Toshiba working well before this attempted install? If not, what was happening?
      2. Did you create your own Install Media or purchase it?

    During the initial install did it let you choose the different version of windows like pro

    • @PC_Monkey
      @PC_Monkey  Год назад

      No. That would depend on what the Windows Product Code you have is for. You will have to install the version of Windows that allows.

    • @PC_Monkey

      Not usually. If the computer does not meet the minimum system reqs, it may not allow you to install. You can try creating your own Install Media USB as mentioned here instead of using the factory CD. Sometimes that works.

    • @PC_Monkey
      @PC_Monkey  10 месяцев назад

      This process shown is installing Windows. You can install other operating systems onto any computer but the process would be different as they are different operating systems. The only part that would be the same in most cases is the function key you hit at the beginning to begin the process.

      @@luna19525 Are you referring to the Hinge Clip? Yes, it is supposed to be attached the key.
      Because they key can usually not be reinstalled with the Retainer Clip and the Key Cap still attached to each other, you would have to separate them as seen here, using a small flat pry tool.
