I don't know how much I deserve one but I'm about to start a new army for the 1st time in over 15 years and all help is appreciated 👍
I am trying to get to the next notch of painting and I feel that a airbrush would help because I admire what you do. I am a student in high school and looking at your minis makes me strive to become better at painting. Also your sponsors make me jump to tell my dad “hey check this out this would be a good mini for one of your d &d campaigns. I paint my dads minis for him as well. I am currently working on some chaos space marines and stormcast eternals. I also got to see my friend for the first time in person in 6 months! Your paint schemes are awsome btw! Thanks, The Chaotic Knight Painter
Thunder hawk Update
I deserve an airbrush because i can’t afford one (or a very good brush)
Love the channel and the merch! :):)
I DESERVE AN AIRBRUSH BECAUSE I AM A GOOD BOI
Edit: Jesus, Lukas, can you teach me to paint that fast??
Who's a good boii - you're a good boi!
Lol
you already have many Airbrushes you maniac!!!! :p :P
😆 🤣 😂
😂😅🤣😅😂🥲🤣😅😂🤣
20 years painting, never once touched an airbrush. Make me a believer Emil.
I would love the air brush so I can grow my painting skills and equipment plz can I have the air brush!!!!
it's just another tool, keep adding more tools, don't be afraid to learn new things. Sure it speeds up painting, but at the same time, the even bigger reason to get an airbrush => it gives you access to new posiblities you couldn't do before. I actually found 1 area where you 100% nee an airbrush => big Forgeworld models or big terrain pieces. The brush only goes so far, you just can't paint big surface smoothly. I'm an experienced painter, I never realised this till I attempted this.Take like a 3 inch/10 cm square area, just a flat surface, I dare you to paint it smoothly with a brush. Something like a titan or a big flyer, a big terrain piece with flat areas, the airbrush is just unavoidable. Now the airbrush, it's a new tool with new possiblities. You can do basic layers with an airbrush sure, but then once you become skilled with it, you start to discover new painting techniques only doable with an airbrush and that's a whole new world that opens up to you.
I need an airbrush to repaint my childhood army for the kids.
Im blown away by these Drukhari. I recently started painting a Synthwave inspired set of guys myself, and its a warmer orangey yellow take from purple. Amazing job!
My cat has wanted learn how to paint with an airbrush for years now. Let's make his dream a reality.
@@buchsg agreed
You have the highest production quality of any painting channel. A joy to watch not just the painting, but the editing too!

One of my friends deserves an airbrush. I've already got one; but my friend just started getting into painting properly recently. Dude's a veteran, works at a youth camp for troubled teens, and saddest of all; he's a nid player.
I got back into miniature painting after 12 years away, and have been loving your channel! I don't have an airbrush and would love one to continue improving my technique. Thanks and greetings from the Czech Republic!
Squidmar!
I turn 60 years old in June and have been painting minis for over half a century! I have learned more about painting minis from you in the last year than all the previous 50 years combined! This airbrush will allow me to leave behind a legacy of top-notch artwork for my sons (both of whom paint minis and one looks just like Harry Potter/Lucas) to talk about with reverence long after I'm gone! AND, they will have to treat me nice to find out to who I bequeath this fine tool! Make an old man happy...
My birthday is June 21…just saying! 🤣
A good friend of mine reached out to me when I was at a low point during the early lockdowns of the pandemic. He rekindled my love of mini-painting, which resulted in my return to this great “at home” and stress-relieving artistic expression of a hobby we all know and love. Even introduced me to Squidmar (& Miniac & Guy @ MWM & Brent “Goobs” & Ninjon & Sam & Vince...) just for good measure!
He recently had to pass on picking up a Harder & Steenbeck airbrush he’s wanted for some time due to recent pandemic related financial issues. This would be a great surprise & thank you gift to repay him for putting a little more color in my world by putting more in his.
I’ll even record the box opening & ensuing nerd screams for everyone to enjoy!
Your Tau Army Video and Goobertown Hobbies Airbrush Video convinced me, that I need an Airbrush, I'm already saving for one !!
"I deserve an airbush" because my imaginary dog ate my imaginary airbrush. He's actully eaten about five now and between the vet bills and new airbrushes it's getting really imaginary expensive
It's amazing that young Daniel Radcliffe can paint miniatures that well!
YES! Been making that joke and Emile wont admit it
Lol
My girlfriend and I made a deal that I can't buy new figurines until I painted all my old ones. Without an airbrush that won't be possible.
Sell your unpainted stuff
Get a new girlfriend :D
An airbrush is not a mini, so just buy that then ;)
Minis before ladies :)
Drybrush
I don’t deserve one but my friend does. He’s just started painting. He’s a teacher who has worked through the pandemic and deserves some love
I hope this wins!
Both me and my boyfriend began painting miniture figures two years ago and we both love it so much! An airbrush would ease the process of painting so much,
I have a earthbrush, firebrush, and waterbrush.....all I need now is an airbrush!
I’d absolutely love one because I’m starting to enjoy painting more then actually playing games. And a Airbrush would help me progress massively
I've been painting minis for a year now. During this year, I've taken your advice and got a wet pallate, learned to thin my paints (from you), and bought an FDM AND a resin printer! An airbrush would be an amazing addition to this addiction you've gotten me hooked on!
I was expecting this paint job to be something along the lines of, "Base Colour and a Wash". Seeing all that amazing blending popped my tender skull. Those 80s' Dark Eldar are totally rad to the maxx.
What am I on youtube?! *insert "HUH" sound*
You'll also be remembered for your great hair 😜
Hey Squidmar! My son, Jacob, is only 12 and he has started collecting, making and painting 40k with me! He absolutely loves the hobby, as do I, and your channel! He watches it all the time! He can’t afford to buy an airbrush at the moment but really wants to try airbrushing after watching your videos and tutorials! Hope you are well and keep up the amazing content! Dan & Jacob
I'd like the airbrush as I saved a hedgehog by feeding him water and crushed cat biscuits, he could've been a little hungry or thirsty otherwise! XD
80's aesthetic, they look so cool, almost I forgot what they do to the other races in the universe.
I'm hardly as good of a boi as Miniac, but if I got an airbrush I'd dedicate it to my whole hobby group (currently 5 people and growing) and set it up so everyone gets to use it when they need to. Already donated my kitchen to the cause, so why not just..one..more..tool.
GL to everyone :)
I've never been much of an artist, but watching your videos has inspired me and helped me go well beyond the limits I thought possible. I continue to grow and am excited to see how much better I can get. I've been thinking about getting an airbrush and journeying into this new path. Thank you for all that you do. Keep inspiring!
I would like an air brush so that I can paint the cadre fireblade that way grandpa gave to me shortly before he passed away. He was incredibly passionate about supporting all our families passions, in my case it was miniatures painting. I turned up at his house one day and out of the blue he passed me this small parcel with a cadre fireblade inside (a model I had been talking with him about). However a couple days after giving me this model he passed away peacefully in his sleep. That small gesture in my opinion perfectly incapsulates who he was as a person, someone who put others dreams and aspirations before him.
Since then I have been nervous to paint this model as I want to make it as professional as I can and in my own way, honour his memory with it 🙂
Thanks - Shrike
I'm just jumping into the hobby and having a tool like that would be absolutely incredible and make my life a million times easier
I have a Skaven army to paint - My wife and kids need their daddy back :) - Happy to record my efforts!
May I ask how long it would take you to paint 20 clanrats? Just curious, it took me weeks to finish Daemonettes and I'm new.
Started the D&D campaign I’m DM-ing online.
Imagine the look on the adventurers faces when we can all get back together for sessions and they get a lovely painted mini, with a wealth of enemy minis to do-battle with! :D
The dream is real . . .
I love that you 2 are doing the painting together. My favorite part of the hobby is assembling and painting with friends.
The last time I used an airbrush was about 30 years ago. Your channel has re-inspired me!
What have I done to deserve an airbrush? I have barely gone out at all during the pandemic so I have protected my fellow man from the clutches of Nurgle!
Love the editing and camera work on this, the trick photography really adds a lot of visual interest to the video!
All the mini's looked fantastic and the highlights were so great, but... those bases blew my mind!! So "simple" of a design, but so striking and interesting and thematic. Very inspiring work!
The air in my house has been moaning throughout lockdown "mehhhh.. brush me.. you never brush me anymore" etc etc
I would love to treat it to a good brushing someday
I want that airbrush to become a next level Swedish painter like Squidmar.
-me, who is not Swedish, we'll figure that part out later.
I am getting back into painting miniatures and an airbrush would be an amazing addition to my tool kit. I am working on a career change into the 3d modeling and game design industry and would love to start learning to airbrush my minis that I print on my 3d resin printer. Unfortunately I have not had as much time to hand paint minis lately and I have been informed learning to airbrush can really speed up productivity. Thank you so much for all of your videos!
My brother recently got me back into painting miniatures. I played 40K in high school and I was so scared to paint that I usually only did a few models and then played unpainted :'( now he's teaching me all the techniques and showed me to your channel Squidmar! Now I watch your videos every day and I'm learning so much, I've bought a tonne of Warhammer Underworlds warbands/starter boxes and even picked up 1500 points of Necrons :D
An airbrush would help me learn even more and save me a tonne of costs on primers and open the door to totally new ways to highlight!
Thanks for the opportunity!
I am a student and I was outside for at least 10 minutes, you have got to admit, that’s impressive
Careful now. I know you're brave, but that's taking it too far...
“Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the on the air compressor..." - Emil Dumbledore.
Accio airbrush!
OMG! I KEEP MAKING THAT JOKE WHEN DUDE GUEST HOSTS AND YOUR THE ONLY OTHER ONE I SEE MAKING THE JOKE!
I just started warhammer painting in lockdown to get over RSI, I just love painting! Never had the chance to play yet, but after lockdown I cant wait!!! Hope I can get a airbrush to start painting even more!
I think it would be really cool to have the air brush. My buddy and I are talking about going in together to get one so this could benefit not only me but him also. We both are new with painting and are just really enjoying it. With the way the world is today we feel as though this is the only way we really get to relax it is so enjoyable. Thanks for all the tips to helping me learn!
i need a video of lukas painting in a tiny room under the stairs in my life.
i'll accept an airbrush as payment for pitching you this 100k view idea :p
I don’t think I’ve ever seen copper built up from a deep purple before. I guess I have to give it a try with a new airbrush. Also Lucas is a freaking master of speed paint style!
I would love one of those airbrushes!
Reason: I've been painting so much that I've become a commission painter in less than a year in the hobby! I have a poopy amazon airbrush and I really want to upgrade! Squidmar, it's not a plug or anything but you can see my stuff at SpartanMinis on Etsy. I'm very proud of how far I've come in the last year and it's all because of you and other channels like yours that I even got into the hobby. I haven't played a single game of Warhammer yet and already painted well over 100 minis. Not to mention, I feel so grateful for all the knowledge that you specifically have given us. I've watched your master class like 10 times and am going to buy the bust and brushes to step up my game lol. Bonus! If you send one to Miniac then you can send both brushes to Minnesota haha!
About to start painting custodes and necrons my first 2 armies. And as I am geting into this majestic hobby I am seeing all of good things that airbrush can do. So I need ona to make it my own, my precious...
You already got me to start using wet palettes. Now I deserve an airbrush so I can fully pretend to be a professional miniature painter
"In 14 hours or less"
Step 1: Be a high level painter.
1:46 I was gonna ask "what kind of sorcery is this?!"
But then I remembered Harry Potter was in this episode so everything made sense again
The amount of begging is stellar, did someone say something about the painting?, could have applied the fades with that airbrush, a fishing video were the try new rods, and they give away a golf club . monimoni
My father's boyfriend passed away 13 years ago. Since, my bf is a fan of Warhammer 40k. He Took the old figurines of his father and explain to my the world of Warhammer 40k.
And now, I'm proud to say that I found a new hobby to share with my love one and to exchange a hobby he could have shared with his dad.
We actually just started our new armies and a Airbrush is just what I need to add to my painting skills.
Please Squidmar, we need this airbrush, and btw, keep doing the amazing job you do we love your videos! 🤘 (Hi from Montreal 😉)
Dang Lukas this is serious skill Youve punched there, 14h for this is crazy impressive
Just discovered your channel a few days ago. Been 10+ years since I left the hobby but you awesome guys from the yootoobs made me come back to it. Thanks
I've been rocking regular brushes for the last 14 years, let's find out how much more I could paint with an airbrush!
I deserve an airbrush because i cant brush base my armys anymore! Welcome to the brush base revolution
I am getting started in airbrushing and went for a cheap airbrush and decided to invest more money in a good compressor, to be less noisy and avoid getting kicked out of my house by my wife. With very little use the compressor broke while in guarantee. The motor axis was gripped. Because of the problems with deliveries when Covid lockdowns started, instead of getting me send the malfunctioning compressor, they sent me a RUclips link with some instructions to repair it myself, and they promised to give me some money back as compensation. It costed me a whole morning but I managed to fix it... but never saw a compensation from their side, and they just ignore my mails now. Eventually I decided to let it slip and don't start airbrushing in a bad mood. And now, you have the opportunity of really making me happy and set me up for a promising future of pro miniature painting :))) I literally sweat for the cause! And by the way, I collect Drukhari, I know how detailed those models are, and dude... respect!
I'd love the airbrush because I've always wanted to try out some advanced techniques to improve my painting!
I survived a 13 hour work day without hurting anyone. I think that's deserving. Also ate tofu pad thai...
P.S. those vaporwave bases are gnarly! Awesome work!
Been painting by hand for 10 years, never touched an air brush in my life so I'm very open to being cultured.
You should get the airbrush I vote for you
I deserve an airbrush because while I am nowhere near being ready to use one, I have a very good friend who lead me down the Warhammer road last year, and I think he deserves a painting upgrade. He regularly impresses me with his talent and creativity, especially when it comes to handmade bases.
I really think I deserve an airbrush because the Dark Angels are truly loyal and would never fall to chaos. Never. Not even a little bit. Not once.
Great vid as always!
I just want to know how Lukas knew it would take him exactly 14 hours. Sounds like wizardry to me
hehehe wizardry
You made me post... My wife's old airbrush is dead and it would make her happy to have a new one.
One of those H&S airbrush will be great to renotave my olod one that its starting to get older and tired of spitting paint on my minis. Thanks for your work and inspiration in the hobby.
Watching you and a friend crank this out in a day is really inspiring! I have a whole Indomitus Box that I want to paint but nursing school is taking up so much time. A new airbrush would really help me get it done with what little free time I have!
I need an airbrush desperately because my cats want to know how the cable from the airbrush to the compressor tastes.
My cats doest the same :) and after the compressor turns on they run away XD
My cat has tasted and destroyed every cable in the house at least once.
I shaved my beard off today. An airbrush would take the pain away while I paint some sweet minis
Because I am living though endless waves of this pandemic and my social life has disintegrated to watching only RUclips vids to connect with the outside world hahah. (Just jokin’). Don’t own one. Need one. Love the channel 👍
Those drukhari look amazing. Great work.
As for airbrush, one would be wonderful, I haven't been able to justify the expense of getting a decent one so far, so getting one would be amazing.
I have worked hard through out the pandemic and have been trying to paint a bit more again and could really use an airbrush to get through some of my back log of models . Thanks for the chance
I wouldn’t say I “deserve” an air brush, I just want an air brush lol
I would honestly send you a video of me eating 10 potatoes if that's what it takes to get an airbrush!😂 But seriously I would love to take my painting to the next level with an airbrush!
I’m a therapist and paint minis to decompress after long days of helping individuals, couples, and families feel better. Having an airbrush would help so much with getting things basecoated! Regardless of whether I win, thanks so much for the content - it’s sincerely wonderful and it’s been a joy watching you experiment with filming techniques and working with cool people! Take care!
I'm saving at the moment for my first airbrush. Really excited to get started regardless of whether I win, or buy my own.
I spent 5 days painting my friends minis - that must count as a reason I deserve an air brush.
Yeah that’s a descent reason
I ate 9 potatoes and my dog for the other one. Pretty sure that makes me qualified for that brush ;)
You ate your dog?
A lovely air brush, would be so welcome in my work space, I have a well used iwata, but between learning on it and dropping it during taking care of kids and showing them how to paint it is old and tired and I would love to have a awesome tool to try and make minis even a fraction of your great minis. Please consider this an entry into your contest, thanks for reading. Love your work with friends.
Amazing work, love the colours and blends on these. Not sure I’ve got the brush skills but a H+S airbrush would certainly help. These top airbrush could take my average painting to the next level.
Loving your work, keep it up.
I keep accidentally buying airbrush paint because because I’m an idiot who can’t read; maybe with the airbrush I could actually use it for it’s intended purpose 😭😭
So how long did it really take? Also, I don't deserve the airbrush :)
I would love to have an airbrush as I have a commission painting businesses running and it would help bring my painting up to the next level and paint larger models, even titans! Great video! Keep up the good work👍
Hi Squidmar,
I've been watching your channel for about a year now ever since the start of this damn pandemic. I started because like many folks on here I started playing Warhammer again after 22+ years and got my kids into it as well. Also like many folks all over the world I have been laid off for almost a year and have had a lot of time to try and improve my painting skills. I'm still trying and one day I may actually come close to being ok at painting these minis....at least I hope so. Regardless it helps me focus and stay sane during this crazy time. While I desperately want an airbrush and I know my daughter would love one as well I think that maybe one day after I find a new job Ill hopefully be able to buy us one sometime in the future. I just rewatched your video about giving the Tau army to the guy who sold his and now Im inspired to do something kinda like that. Instead of asking for an airbrush for myself Id like to pass it to someone else. If I am a selected winner I'd like to give my win to the commenter named Pete Brett. I do not know him but read his comment about his friend and I think he should get the airbrush (or his friend or both). Thanks for doing this Squidmar and keep up the amazing work and the inspiration.
After failing to conquer traditional brush painting, I think I'm ready to destroy my models with an airbrush❤
I would Love to have a air brush becuse i dont have the money to buy an for My dad att His birthday. Btw Love your vids❤️
Deserve? Perhaps not. I'm still using an ancient old Humbrol one I got 20 years ago and runs on disposable cans....so sure Id *like* it. As an aside I've really enjoyed your stuff over the past year or so- I find watching your stuff makes me paint more :-) Cheers for that!
Been painting for years but too afraid of using an airbrush. Whatever happens I just love your channel. Thanks guys. ❤
Deeeweeit
I really ate 10 potatoes today... but actually I just wanted to paint a miniature for my father who's having hard times.
Harry Potter is a sick miniature painter! Congrats!
The air brush be so awesome, and help me with my hobby backlog, sea of gray! Lukas truly fantastic job, I love the look of this Dark Eldar army! I can’t believe you only took 14 hours.
The format of this video was heaps of fun. Great looking finished product!
I need an airbrush to speed up my painting, the pile of shame is takeing over...
I started painting in Oct and have loved the hobby. I only use synthetic brushes and am currently working on my Nighthaunt army. I would love an airbrush to improve my gradient on my ghostly bois.
New studio looks fantastic. If I’d get that airbrush I’d get back into painting altogether. It’s been 20 years and I’m on the edge of getting back into it. Dark elf fantasy and chaos 40k were my collection. Always hand painted. Never had an airbrush
Ah nice, I just picked up the old SC box. Thanks for the inspirational colour scheme and the purple shading effect looks great on both the armour and skin to tie each whole model together.
These turned out Awesome
That's just straight up magic! I can't even do an even basecoat with a brush if I dont work on it for hours upon hours. I suspect some background in illustrations and/or digital art also might be an ace in the hole for such color designs.(And a lot of practice...)
Incredible video sir, loving your Kickstarter brushes. Airbrush would be bonkers.
Totally want an airbrush since i just started painting and am loving it!
Ive never tried airbrushing but ive always wanted to try!!! It looks so fun i love learning new stuff. And i didnt eat 10 potatoes but i did have a baked one with dinner tonight!
