Yeah, Daredevil is not a very good movie, but Michael Clarke Duncan was perfectly cast. He was everything the Kingpin needed to be in that role, may he rest in peace.
+JimboJoe1234 Agree on all three, and add Stan Jones to my list since he sounds fairly similar to Roscoe Lee Brown. Sadly, 3 out of the 4 are no longer with us.
Roscoe Lee Brown and Vincent D'Onofrio are the best in my mind of. Really when hearing the Samaritan story of Vincent D'Onofrio. Vincent D'Onofrio wins because he also has to play the role and he does it very well.
Roscoe Lee Browne is definitely, without question, THE Kingpin. The perfect combination of aggression and composure that no one has yet been able to match.
My god. Roscoe Lee Browns voice sounds so great as the Kingpin... he definetly has the voice for it at the time. But im still torn between him, Michael Clarke Duncan and Vincent D Onfrino
David Sobolov both looks and sounds just like how I personally always imagined Kingpin classic sounding and looking in real life. Somewhat deep-voiced, authoritative, completely sure of himself at pretty much every moment. D'Onofrio did a fantastic job. His take on Fisk took some getting used to, but was perfect once it settles in and you realize exactly what kind of Fisk he's playing. We're not dealing with a man/character who should sound like Sobolov yet; we're dealing with the man he was before he becomes the man who Sobolov pretty much encapsulated, and D'Onofrio did arguably just a good a job when Fisk finally goes full crime lord.
Glad to see everyone appreciates Roscoe's voice as much as me and it's not just nostalgia. I can't read Kingpin in a comic without hearing his voice it was just too good.
My first exposure to The Kingpin was Stan Jones' performance and when TAS came out, I always thought it was the same VA. It's clear Roscoe Lee Browne's performance was influenced by his predecessor, they carry the same inflection and gravitas. Browne's performance is the quintessential Kingpin, it's what I hear whenever I read the comics. Michael Clarke Duncan's take on the character was incredible and a great reinterpretation for the time period. Vincent D'Onofrio absolutely killed it and is a pretty faithful comic book adaptation, especially during scenes when he's meeting with other crime bosses. I'd love to see more of him in the future.
01. Michael Clarke Duncan 02. Roscoe Lee Browne Also, keep in mind I'm just guessing, but the unknown voice actor from "Spider-Woman" kinda sounds like Paul Frees. Not sure if it is him, but it sounds like it could be him.
"I was going to have to learn to survive...or be destroyed..." Sigh. That's how it was in cartoons, kids. Couldn't even say die. It's stupid because he's getting the same idea across, but now it's actually worded awkwardly like nobody talks.
That was the weird thing about the Spider-Man animated series. The OTT censorship to the point where they couldn't even show Spider-Man punching people and said destroy instead of kill or die.
Roscoe Lee brown is the undisputed voice of the kingpin he’s to kingpin in the same way Clancy brown is to lex Luthor is feels just right and doesn’t feel forced
I grew up watching the '90s version of Spider-Man, I'd pick old Roscoe. However, Vincent has shown the Kingpin in a philosophical light. I do love a philosophical villain.
For me, Michael Clarke Duncan IS the Kingpin. The 2003 spiderman series was my first (and still my favourite) exposure to Spiderman, and to me, he is the only Kingpin.
Roscoe and Duncan are my favorites, and a shout out for Blanc. As much as I love D'Onofrio as the Kingpin, his voice alone does not carry his performance.
For me: 1. Vincent D'onoffrio 2. Roscoe Lee Browne (RIP. Thank you for making "Spider-Man: TAS" an amazing part of my childhood) 3. Michael Clarke Duncan (RIP. Thanks for your body of work!)
Vincent D’Onofiro, Micheal Clarke Duncan, David Sobolov, JB Blanc (since it is based off his Joker voice from Read or Die TV), Gregg Berger, Roscoe Lee Browne, Jim Cummings and Travis Willingraham.
1. Vincent D’Onofrio 2. Roscoe Lee Brown 3. Michael Clarke Duncan 4. Stan Jones 5. Gregg Berger 6. David Sobolov 7. JB Blanc 8. Walker Edmiston 9. Tom Harvey 10. Jim Cummings 11. Stephen Stanton 12. Bob Joles 13. Unknown Voice Actor 14. Travis Willingham
I like Roscoe's portrayal as the Kingpin out of the most here on the list, but I also gotta love Michael's portrayal as the Kingpin in both Daredevil and the short lived Spider Man show. This version is unique because he is the first (and so far only) Kingpin to be African-American rather than Caucasian. It's an interesting twist, something of a risk, because some people would probably not like the idea of a Kingpin being of different skin color. But this is a Kingpin from a time before everyone was sensitive.
Netflix's Daredevil is almost upon us, get hyped with me when I give you PART 2 of Comparing The Voices - Daredevil, coming soon or very soon if this video does very well For PART 1 - ruclips.net/video/P0MJRnMDJ_o/видео.html
1. Roscoe Lee Browne (one of the most memorable voices of my childhood) 2. Stan Jones 3. Bob Joles 4. Gregg Berger Wilson Fisk is another bad guy I wish Marvel would put back in his peak power and influential position as a supervillain in the Marvel Earth, but unfortunately its been a long time since he's made a noticeable impact comicbook wise.
Roscoe Lee Browne nailed the voice for Kingpin. Michael Clarke Duncan nailed the live action version for Kingpin but Vincent D O'nofrio is a worthy successor for live action Kingpin.
Roscoe Lee Browne is the equivalent of the voice of the Kingpin as Mark Hamill is to The Joker and Kevin Conroy as Batman.
+Richmond Ekiye
And Micheal Ironside as Darkseid.
Agreed, there's no replacing them😁
I agree. RIP Roscoe.
He was nominated for an emmy for Kingpin.
Richmond Ekiye He has the perfect blend of sophistication and intimidation. The perfect Kingpin.
roscoe's voice made kingpin sound like royalty

Radionatix vincent who pfft that guy is terrible, lacks the low pitched voice kingpin should have
@@Bajrangiprasadkumar Huh? Vincent rocked the Kingpin role!
I actually liked Michael Clark Duncan as Kingpin. He was a lot more charismatic and smart alikey than some of the other incarnation.
He's the Best Live action version
Roscoe Browne is still the top overall
Best voices:
1. Roscoe Lee Browne
2. David Sobolov

Ultraman DragonHeart Indeed his impression was brilliant!
Roscoe Lee Browne was just PERFECT as the Kingpin. I always see the Kingpin having a sophisticated voice and Browne excels that perfectly.
It's a tie between: Michael Clarke Duncan, Vincent D'Onofrio, and Roscoe Lee Brown for me.
Yeah, Daredevil is not a very good movie, but Michael Clarke Duncan was perfectly cast. He was everything the Kingpin needed to be in that role, may he rest in peace.
The Mean Mongoose I agree.
JimboJoe Same!

The late and great Roscoe Lee Browne.
David looks exactly like the kingpin.
I said the EXACT same thing while making this lol
Roscoe Lee Browne, Michael Clarke Duncan and Vincent D'Onofrio
Roscoe Lee Browne is definitely, without question, THE Kingpin. The perfect combination of aggression and composure that no one has yet been able to match.
Mr. Brown will forever be the one and only Kingpin to me.
Roscoe lee Browne was the best voice for the kingpin

Roscoe Lee Brown enough said!
The 90s superhero shows got everything perfect. Everything since is good in their own way but they're still below the bar set about 25 years ago.
Glad to see everyone appreciates Roscoe's voice as much as me and it's not just nostalgia. I can't read Kingpin in a comic without hearing his voice it was just too good.

Vic Perrin is probably the actor voicing Kingpin in 1979. He was also Sinestro on “Superfriends” at that time.
I could never tell what sort of accent Kingpin had from the 90s cartoon.
Upper class American accent
Vincent has become the definitive Wilson Fisk.
RLB was the best kingpin by far. Incredible voice actor (RIP).
For me, Michael Clarke Duncan IS the Kingpin. The 2003 spiderman series was my first (and still my favourite) exposure to Spiderman, and to me, he is the only Kingpin.

That's funny, I thought Jim Cummings would make a fantastic Wilson Fisk, but I didn't know he already voiced him!
1:50 the real Kingpin voice ....FoxKids over here ... Roscoe Lee Browne

roscoe lee brown, because i grew up with that voice as kingpin, or vincent d'onofrio, because marvel's daredevil kicked ass.

They really tried to make Duncan's Kingpin catch on lol
D'Onofrio is just FANTASTIC
Roscoe Lee Browne is the voice of Kingpin for me. Whenever I think of this crime lord, I always imagine him with his voice.
1:50 Roscoe Lee Browne
Vincent D'Onotrio is the Best Kingpin Played Ever! Kingpin is my favorite Daredevil Villain.
Jim Cummings as Kingpin! I think we have a winner!
1 roscoe Lee Browne: he will always be the kingpin
2 Michael Clarke Duncan: yes that's my only reason
I recently saw bill and ted's bogus journey, and I seriously thought Roscoe's Kingpin from Spiderman the animated series was actually Joss Ackland. XP
Roscoe Lee Browne nailed the voice for Kingpin.
Michael Clarke Duncan nailed the live action version for Kingpin but Vincent D O'nofrio is a worthy successor for live action Kingpin.
If you count Vincent D.Onofrio, you should as well include John Rice Davies, the first live action Kingpin
