      @@Bankai2169did they ruin him? He’s a weird shell of himself in Hawkeye but when he returns in echo he’s basically an extension of his daredevil self.
      There’s a scene where he sends his sign language away for the night then his goons execute her in the hallway without even blinking or stopping his meal

      @@Bankai2169 Fisk should've known ASL like how he spoke mandarin to Gao. Him killing the translators was dumb.
      In Hawkeye, he failed to deal with Eleanor Bishop or even threaten Hawkeye's family. In Echo, he could've easily executed Maya Lopez's family and burn the town to the ground.

    I think Kingpin was a great character but, he was taken up anlevel by the acting of Vincent D'onofrio. I wasnt sure about him being a recluse in the first season, but if you watch the other seasons, that was best for everyone. Season 3 when while was out in public, his power was absolute and seen by all. What in incredible character.

      While his first appearance returning in Hawkeye fell a little flat as a “surprise villain”, and he had very little screen time to work with, I understand people thinking he’s been neutered a bit.
      I’ll withhold full judgement on their usage with him until Born Again. I believe he’ll be much more in his element there with the cruelty we’ve come to expect from Wilson.

A darker version of Spider-Man, focusing on Green Goblin, Venom and Kingpin. Too bad the MCU is getting too family friendly now... We can only dream. :(

    I disagree that Fisk is a sociopath. He does have a an ability to feel empathy (albeit a very weak one due to his trauma) as shown with his mother, Wesley and his wife. When his mother was being beaten you can see how horrified kid Fisk felt if he truly was a sociopath he probably wouldn’t have felt that and probably wouldn’t have killed his dad. His cruel nature is artificially created as you said he used to be kind and gentle and it was the murder of his father that turned him cruel and power hungry. You also said he didn’t feel shame and I disagree too since he felt a very strong need to delude himself into believing he was a savior if he couldn’t feel shame why would he care so much whether he was a savior or an oppressor? I believe he was deeply ashamed of his actions and that sparked his need to convince himself that he was actually a savior that he wasn’t a cruel oppressor. I agree he is very detached from other people but that’s just a coping mechanism because of his past trauma and when he actually lets them in into his life he feels empathy for them and is very caring.
    Edit: Not to mention he feels remorse too. The remorse of letting Wesley go take care of Rachel alone ate away at him.

    This was great character development and portrayal on Netflix's part, it was later of course RUINED by Disney's MCU characters.
    The Disney MCU has ruined the characters of Tony Stark, Bruce Banner, DareDevil, The Vision, Spider-Man and others.

    • @Jackal_El_Lobo34
      @Jackal_El_Lobo34 Год назад +5

      I partially agree. I still liked MCU Spiderman given that it was established to be different from other iterations however he didn’t become interesting until “No Way Home”.
      Vision was okay but didn’t leave a long lasting impression.
      Daredevil was probably the best aspect of She-Hulk given how terrible it was but he was made to do a lot of out of character and silly things just to fit the tone of the show which I didn’t like.
      I think Bruce Banner really suffered the most in the MCU. He had a really interesting story in “Avengers” but following “Ragnorok” he’s regulated to comic relief side character and ultimately just looses his humanity that made him interesting.
      Tony Stark is the closest character to come out unscathed by the inconsistent yet comedic approach of the MCU and had a good conclusion next to Captain America.
