I've placed my mod (975_Omos) in the Characters folder and set the Target Directory to the common/WWE 2K24/mods/Wrestlers folder. For the Target Name I also put "Wrestlers", like you and Baked it. But it didn't work.
I'm on the latest version of the game btw if that matters. Thanks

Bake/launch launches the game once the baking is finished.
Cakehook is for the 60 fps mod (hotfix) and free camera control
Quick question i try to do jeff hardy port from 22 to 24 it supposed to replace apollo crews, and also did the raw new titles, when i load the game it does shows 2 files loaded, im able to see the title but when i try to check if i get jeff hardy i still have apollo, it doesnt load jeff hardy when i play a match. any ideas?
Double check the apollo crews folder it may be missing a file due to the creator

@chibagaming jp I always use caketools every year. Should I get discovery also by grix? Or is it not needed. I just heard it is easy to port over all 2k23 modded wrestlers with that program.
Honestly I'd stick with cakeview
So when im baking my folders its not even baking like it instantly is saying baked its not showing any percent. It says 0.0KB idk what to do pls help.
Could be part of the recent update.. I m currently not at my CPU at the moment but wait for an update or post from pwm

No , but if you see your mod in cakeview but not in game make sure your folders are correctly labeled and files are where they need to be
It worked, I was having some problems with the directory but now I can play with new mods, One questions, if I want to edit the attire from Edge (mod) it crashes the game, is it normal?, thank u A LOT!
yes its normal youre using a "mod" to try to edit a wrestler the game doesn't recognize
Nice tutorial. Can you show us how to add wrestlers to the roster without replacing them next? I want to put The Hardyz in. Also what about custom announcer names… can you teach us that too?
Yeah we need a tutorial for that as well
As of now It's impossible to add custom announcer names for this game.(Untill a tool is created)As the announcers themselves will have to literally manually say the characters name. As per hardy boys sure once I bet the system down I'll add that tutorial ^^

For some reason whenever I go to some of my modded wrestlers entrances the game crashes every time. Not all of them do that some of them do and It's been happening since WWE2K23 and I still cannot find a way to fix it. I was told I'm supposed to have a cakehook.dll file but I can't find it anywhere.
Cakehook.dll should be on the same folder where you got the cakehook files check your folders it should be there

Hmmm 🤔 I'm not sure what's happening. Then again you're trying to mod a characters entrance that's isn't technically recognized it could be that too
Is this new cake tools backwards compatable? Ie can you use this for wwe 2k23 as well?
No cakeview is only used for 2k24
I did everything you did, and when i clicked bake, it says, "could not access target files for writing."
Make sure you're directory is set correctly

Recheck your folders
So if I install a mod character then it will be replaced by a random already existing character. Right?
Depends on how the creator made the mod
Whenever I try to bake it, it says "file is inaccessible or is in use by another program." My folders are all set up, but it doesn't show all of the regular cak files like in your overview page.

Yep. But remember Jeff hardy will replace a current superstar . If you want to add on to the roster download this tool called meta

I tried it twice now but both times i set everything up seemly correctly but the game refuses to even boot second time it opened for about half a second but crashed out immediately. have no idea if its a anti cheat thing or a me thing. may give it one more chance before i call it quits.

@@ChibagamingJP nah I've tried that multiple times before undoing and redoing it unfortunately I'm about to head off to work so I'll try it from the top later on tonight so I don't rush it.
I tried this but it still does not show up in the game, I baked and baked and load but whenever I open it is still the same nothing has changed
Your files aren't correct
@@ChibagamingJP No, you didn't mention in the video that we should put the plugins folder snd dinput8.dll in the directory in order for these mods to work.
The file names were correct as well as the files used for modding. It worked after I did that

How do I find the WWE 2k24 directory I can’t find it anywhere in my files
It'll be where you download your main files
It doesn't work for me. I followed the steps, made sure the folders were named the same, I even downloaded the same Kross mod. The only thing different I notice is that under the Baked folder I don't have any type of CAK file. Where does that come from?
Cak file from the mod installation. If you don't have those try getting the cak files from pwm discord

I appreciate this tutorial but I just cannot get the changes to work. I've tried baking my mods folder, the characters folder, the individual character mod, I've tried changing the in-game texture settings (which I remember was a big issue last year), nothing. I'm sure I'll get it, this seems to happen each year, but I don't really know what I'm doing wrong. I've watched several tutorials and all of them have their folders set up differently, all of them say different things. I've tried everything I can think of and I'm getting nowhere.
You don't have to bake the characters folder, so for example. Wwe2k24/mods/baked/wrestlers/character. Then place the character that you want in the wrestlers/characters folder then load up cakeview from cakeview enter target name make Target name as "wrestlers" and bake. So make sure that the games directory is set as Wwe2k24 exe
@@ChibagamingJP What do you mean by making sure that the game's directory is set to the 2K24 exe? Also, does it actually matter what name Caketools gives to the baked file?
The cakeview has to recognize the directory and exe of wwe2k24
@@ChibagamingJP I have it set to know the executable path, when I open the menu setting to view the path it correctly points to the game's exe. Is that what you mean? I might be confused about where the baked cak file is supposed to go.
My most recent setup is (game directory) / mods / 2K24 / Characters / the Shelton Benjamin mod. If I try to bake the Characters folder it creates the cak file alongside the Characters folder. If I try to bake the 2K24 folder it creates the cak file alongside the 2K24 folder. If I pull all the way back and bake the mods folder it creates the cak file alongside the mods folder. None of these have worked. The baked cak that gets created isn't supposed to be put in the root directory is it?
@MiketheratguyMultimedia Mike once again bud youre doing a bit too much with the installation and your folder layout is wrong... I'd suggest rewatching and following step by step

i did this and it didnt replace my kross in game. not sure what i am doing wrong. i tried to change the menu screen as well and cant get that to work either.
So the karrion Kross folder will have a "duplicate" in the folder double click to open and take that file and place that in your characters folder. So it'll be

What do you mean mod Goldberg?
@@ChibagamingJP Use him as a playable character, his gfx, entrance and moveset. There are a ton of Goldberg mods out there and I don't know which is the most suitable one.

It's possible that the Jeff hardy you installed is a replacement check the file to see whos the replacement

I did everything correct be when i bake and launch 2k support pops up and idk what to do.
Oh yikes... That bug again... You have to delete and reinstall everything again
@@ChibagamingJP lol, NO! you just close wemod.
If this happened 3 days ago you probably did reinstall. But, you don't. This only happens if you have wemod. Close it fully and it'll go away. Takes 2 seconds compared to reinstall.

@@ChibagamingJP my friend, this is not a bug. If it happens, then there is only one cause. The cause: any program that can modify game files (specifically for in game things) is detected since WWE 2K23 update, this only happens if you have one of those programs open such as, but not limited to:
Cheat Engine
WeMod
Cheat Happens.

Im on Linux/steamdeck not windows. I can’t figure out where I could have gone wrong.
I'd delete the folder and start over. Just a tip make sure your directory is correctly set
So here’s what I did.
-i downloaded cake view and cakehook
-I extract them. I put the dinputdll and plug-ins folder in the root of my 2k24 folder
-I set my directory in cakeview to the 2k24 exe
-I create a ‘mods’ folder in root of 2k24
-I add some downloads from pwmods to 2k24 > mods > baked > wrestlers > Characters
- folders with files from pwmods are called eg 625_Apollo_Crews_2019
-I bake the wrestlers folder so there’s a file called wrestlers.cak in 2k24 > mods
I load the game and nothing at all happens. I’m sorry this is the first time I’ve ever tried modding a 2k game and I have no idea where I have gone wrong.
@user-ci4rz6yd1b you did everything correctly except the final step . When you're baking make sure the target name is typed as wrestlers.
Can a previous bake if not installed right mess up the new bake?

i do have one more quick question when downloading the newest version of cakeview it didnt recreate the standard .cak files like the ones jus in the game directory. Is there a way i can download just those files?

🤔.. you can give that a try. Theres moments when mine crashes too..but if it happens often try doing a clean reinstall.

You can just use WWE 2k24 face capture for that it's actually a whole lot easier

Yes you can place 2k23 wrestlers in 2k24 as this years cakeview is backwards compatible

I downloaded the new cake today and I can’t use the new mods.
The cake updated today will not be able to use new mods, and then it will display the mods that were successfully used with the old cake yesterday.

Delete the files that's in your directory and re add them I've updated my cakeview and it still works fine for me

It will replace a superstar.but if you don't want to do that.. user's are reporting meta is good tool for adding to the roster without replacing

When you launch cakeview be sure that the target directory is the WWE.exe file

So to set it up
Set WWE 2k24 as the main directory.
Then create a folder called mods on that folder create a folder named baked in that folder create a folder called wrestlers in that folder create a folder called characters
Download a modded wrestler take that nodded wrestler file and drag and drop it into the characters portion of that wrestlers folder
Load up cakeviews
In cake views set the target as the WWE 2k24 main directory
In the target name type "wrestlers "
Then bake
I did that and it’s didn’t show it’s really really hard
used to use mod injector but I can’t anymore because it’s not out yet
Carefully go over your files
