All of the other tutorials confused the hell out of me, once I figured out how to get the mdl script the rest was easy, seriously thanks so much. I just ported Lola Vice and Nia is next.

I had to watch this video a few times because some of the steps didn't initially come across as 100 percent clear but once I got it, I got it. I was able to port over my first character so I'm a happy mofo, I've got dozens of characters from last year's game that I'd like to use again this time around. Thanks so much, this tutorial came through in the end! Thanks also for the extra files, I was getting missing faces but those fixed the issue.
W tutorial. was able to port a character, now to wait till a tutorial on how to install a character without replacing lmao
for some reason when i followed your steps the character had no hair animation, so i had to include the skel into the export for it to have animation.
Glad you told me this let me try and rebake a few mods cause my hair is still
YASSS! This tutorial is it! This helped me port over a mod I wanted to easy! I'm having trouble with the face though, I can't get it to appear.
Check the description fixing those may help or try replacing again the base model and rebaking

The MDL option doesn't appear on my blender? What do I do and how do I do it?
Love the tutorial, thank you! I was able to port a couple of mods, but I noticed that some of them are missing facial animations which wasn't the case in 2K23. Do you know which part of the mod is responsible for this so I can take a closer look?

Excellent tutorial, I managed to do it. With a person when I want to do with a 2nd wrestler everything works Well it's just that his clothes are textured in green you know, what's the problem
Ohhh idk what could cause that a green outfit? Try rebaking them don’t do bake/launch cause it rushes past the process sometimes

I did this but my character's face is black for some reason
For some reason I ported Naomi but her face is glitched with only her eyes and mouth showing, everything is good except that. How do I fix the face issue?
You need to get a new BaseModelMTL from a character in 24 and try to rebake her again

@@EuphoricMP4 ok I ran into another issue, I tried to port Jade Cargill and I used other BaseModelMTLS from different female characters and the skin would be a different color and different tattoos would be on the body. What should I do to fix this?
@@rashawn71 ok yea so I tried to port her 2 LMAOO and she’s not portable fr I had these same issues hopefully joemashups releases his new version of her song cause I tried for two days to port her over and it didn’t work I gave up 😭 I promise it’s not you friend that mod just not portable

You have to redo the base model part again then try rebaking it
@@EuphoricMP4 Yesterday I had a possible solución for those mods impossible to convert and was this : I had the same trouble with Jade and Okada and yesterday y tried with the same option than we have in blender "export MTLs" and yes finally I got it , I have the model of Okada for 2k24 fully converted so you will needs to try to make it guys
Probably best to just download the official port, but, I ported Joe's Christian from 2K23 to 2K24 and his facial expressions are super weird. Like his eyes are super squinted and his face scrunches up during gameplay. Any recommendations?
Try re-baking the skeleton apart of the basemodel

Hey so thanks to you i was able to port lot of characters. Now Im facing a weird problem. Ive seen that characters that have "ywa" files when I port them and use them in game they look fine but they cause a weird big polygon to appear in the middle of the ring. Any idea why?
I haven’t figured that out some ports have that and it’s something I think I’m material editor but they removed the option so I suggest asking in the pwm discord to see what could be the reason I had to delete one of the mods that had that 😭
@EuphoricMP4 hey I answered you about this right away IDK why my answer didn't get saved here. Actually for ported mods that cause the problem I told you about to happen, the fix is super easy! You open the attire mtls in material editor and you find a section called "lambert" you just rename it to "lambertnameofmod" for exemple "lambertadampage" and the problem is fixed!

If it wasn't for your tutorial god knows how I would have ported most of the mods I have, I'm new to 2k24 modding last time I used mods was in 2k19 and your tutorial helped me a looooot so thank you bro, especially for the hpl and basemodel files too! I wish I could learn how to port arenas, there are a lot of good ones from 2k23

Make sure you've downloaded the WWE 2K MDL folder from PWM. Open blender, click edit at top, click preferences, click add on, click install at top corner, scroll all the way down til you see a .zip file version of the downloaded mdl addons, click .zip and wala finish. Hope I helped.

No you don’t I didn’t do that in my tutorial just the parts I highlighted
@@EuphoricMP4 Oh, it’s just that i tried to pass a Big Show and the whole outfit looks perfect but my fighter’s head is invisible and you can only see the eyes, i thought it was because i didn’t select that in the Base Model part
@@soycesarrrr no retry and bake him again with another base model and see what happens I’ve had this issue as well and rebaking it fixes

you have to add it as a plugin go to edit on blender and scroll down to preferences and import it and enable it make sure to download it from the patreon

umm i havent seen that issue before if it doesnt have one try and bake it and see if they show in game
Thanks for the tutorial. I'm not sure why, but I can't get the attire to work. The basemodel is working, but the attire is blank.
your supposed to replace the xxx on the hpl to the numbers of the characters in the folder and replace the hpl in there

Hey so this is really weird, and I STILL haven't found a permanent way to fix this. Basically, whenever I bake my folder (WWE 2k23 I don't have 2k24 yet) It bakes then before its close to being completed the whole app shuts down... and it does this EVERYTIME and I'm getting tired of it 😂. Nothings working I tried deleting some of them, moving folders, REINSTALLING MY CHARACTERS, even reaching out to people on the PWM Discord Server and I haven't found a way to fix this. It was working okay yesterday It fully baked and I played the game but then it started happening again do you know what I should do or how to fix this??

the reformatted YCL is apart of the bundle with downloading cakeview make sure to always reformat the ycl

You need the YCL reformated or you may have to replace the HPL file with a brand new one or may need to copy a baseModel.MTL from a base character from 24 on cakeview you can extract one from a character. For further help please ask in the modding help in PWmods discord if none of these work or you need help on these

You'd have to look around I dont play 2. 22-24 is all the same game idk why you wanna go backwards lol plus this is a different mdl script its all the same type of porting so you could always try and go for it in the same way we used to port in 22-23 with the old scripts on blender
