there is one thing that i can say to the bay city rollers that is the most awesome thing ever is that on august the 6th of 1983 3:00 japan time 3 a.m. here in the states i was born when the bay city rollers had their historic reunion in japan in 1983 that is the most awesome birthday present ever anyone could ever ask for i wish icould say that to alan lol to less and to ian but i know that they know and i know they're watching the music that's in you that's all that matters is keeping the music alive that they had best way to honor them is my playing the music that they left behind and pioneered who was the bay city rollers that taught me how to spell saturday i don't even know how to spell it until i listen to saturday night which is one of my favorites

Sorry, but "Les and Ian" ain't "the Bay City Rollers." Les is, indeed, the eternal voice of the BCR, but Ian is an asterisk. These two don't go together.
Yes he was in BCR. Even though he wasn’t with the band long initially, he made a significant contribution and their 1976 album Dedication, featured him sing lead on the lead song. He was very talented and had a great voice. Both he and Les were my favorites then and continue to be now. He is no “asterisk”
