- This is Chris Peris, Yamaha Champions Riding School's Lead instructor. It is his FIRST time at Sepang and this is the 3rd session of SBR Trackdays in Nov 2019.
Riding BHH's Yamaha R1M, he posted a series of 2:14s and 2:13s in traffic.
The bike's gearing is stock, and this is the longest video i have ever posted, simply because there is so much going on during his session!
Enjoy and hope this provides more insights into how to improve your laptimes at Sepang International Circuit! Авто/Мото
Very nice. Wish I was half as good as he is 😵💫
What a great video of Chris riding hard but smooth .. thx for sharing ! I will watch it a few more times
amazing what can happen when you go slow in the slow parts, get direction, and have a good line. makes it look easy. awesome sauce
Waht a blok by green man
Wow! His riding style is amazing!
It's so unlike our typical brake slightly past 200m before T1 and slightly past gantry at T9 etc etc...
He brakes early and he holds the brakes pretty long!
Due to the unsuitable stock gearing, he's using a ton of clutch to keep the rpm high at 1st gear too. Very adaptable!
I regret not being able to invest (a lot of money) in YCRS.. perhaps when I can afford one day Rex.
By the way, would you like to be RUclips friends??
LoL! Just kidding... I'm not a Nigerian spammer prince.
Hahaha yea. Its amazing how he rides man. And it's first time on our bike, at a track he never been to.
so fast❤️
Great Video. How did you get the YRC mode to say 'RACE' ? I've got a 2020 R1M and it only lets me put 3 characters 'RAC' mode looks silly.
its supposed to be able to do 4 characters
@@cheong1106 Do you use the Android app or iOS app ?
Looks like R1 2015-2017 can add 4 characters, 2017 and up can only add 3.... weird

Corner Exit needs work? (slow to pickup bike?)
Sorry for such a negative question but how many times have you crashed on track to get to this level of skill?
Actually crashed only once after attending YCRS, 8 year streak, and the crash was also cos I was on cold tyres and didn't let it warm up properly. With proper instruction, we can improve very safely
That's incredible just the answer i wanted to hear! I'm about to start my track journey thankyou for replying!
@@jaquan874 i strongly recommend you look up YCRS and at least get their online lesson for a super cheap price. They teach EVERYTHING in the online program as they do in their full 2 day school.
You're the best bro this is perfect and its cheap too. I'm going to start this then do a level 1 track course after. Much appreciated 😁
Damn you are good man...
Yea, Chris Peris is super fast and really good. Wish I could ride like that haha
the time laps on the bike use rider finger to start n stop….is it the time accurate bro?🤔
this is via GPS data logger, not manual lap time trigger. The bike is R1M
@@cheong1106 ok pls teach me how to get time like u….this time u get on racing event or trackday?
@@halimhamdan-nc2xd This lap time is by the lead instructor of YCRS from USA, Chris Peris. My timing only 2:17 and that was before COVID 😅
