Viewer64 that's the purpose I share the videos and show the throttle and brakes! So glad that it helped you. Just remember to be gentle on the first and last part of it!
I have a question: I've been told that you should enter corners at slow gear and slow speed (high rpm) if the corner gets more harsh, but I see that you entered the corner at gear 4 with not so much speed (low rpm). Could you explain why and can that technique be used in real life experience ? Thanks for your concern !
Billy Phạm well, the thing is that corner is a very high speed (km/h) corner, and its a long corner, I assume you are talking about Turn 3, so throughout that corner its accelerating hard. If you use a low gear with high rpm, you will need to make an upshift and that can unsettle the bike and you are at full lean. So instead I short shift to 4th and accelerate through keeping it smooth, so when I'm at full lean it is smooth acceleration all the way. In general, you want to make sure the bike is really settled when you are at full lean, don't want jerkiness as that can cause the tyres to break traction. Hope the above answers your question?
Have you try to approach T9 with 1st gear then exit it by short shifting to 3rd before T10? It will offer much more engine braking, requiring slighty less brake pressure. You can then drive out of T9 to T10 much faster and smoother. You just have to time your short shifting only. Done right, it'll feel like being shot out of a cannon.
I actually did try what you said hahaha. But when riding with my buddies, I'm losing so much time compared to them in gear 2. Granted they are have -1 tooth get sprocket. My T1-2 and T9 I'm struggling so much. Will post my 217-218 i did this weekend. Tks for the tips!
Chong Chee Teng nice observation!! but no. unfortunately I was getting brake fade and I needed to clear my fingers hahaha. it happens only once throughout sessions and I need to set the lever pull to cater for it. but I didn't get to set it properly so lived with it. I came in after that lap though. to adjust it and it was near end of that session
Soon Cheong Tan I had my first sepang experience 2 weeks back and experienced fade also, 4 fingers didn't occurr to me to get past the finger jam, now I know, thanks for the tip 👍 Anw, keep those vids coming! I enjoyed and learned a lot from your multi cams.
Chong Chee Teng that's the purpose of the vids. usually I will post when I improve on the time so there's better benchmark. but I normally set the lever out further for track to cater for the lever coming in after 3 or 4 laps. and it won't come in further after that. most likely due to the ABS system as I have done everything I could on the brake system
well, im not a pro, but been practicing ever since. this is what ive come up to when watching a pro on-board lap. as soon as they've reach their braking point, they do their braking, and as soon as the braking begin, they will start downshifting. and they will move down the gears very fast. etc, from 6th to 2nd, and then they will turn. i've tried it and oh boy it opens up new racing lines since i can brake much later and perform a quicker turn in. motogp onboard footage will be the best example.
7 seconds on a almost STREET bike and with a 'amateur' rider is TOP performance. You do not compare 7 seconds of Espargaro, because then, YES is HUGE, you must compare 7 seconds of this guy riding here which is not a moto gp rider, not a WSBK rider.. So, actually, Tan si super fast!!!
Yamaha R1M seems having very nice handling. I also love that Crossplane sound! Nice video, mate! I hope I could ride R1M someday hahaha!
Jordi Nayoan tks! And yes, it does handle very nicely and very confidence inspiring. The TCS has saved my ass several times already!
Learned a lot watching this video especially the trail braking part!

Wow nice ride man. Do you have your quick downshifter modification or you just use your clutch lever manually? I feel so smooth when you downshift.
Oh I installed Flashtune blipper! It makes it so much easier man and you can focus on braking instead
Great footage mate. Thanks for that. I'm there for my first go 3RD-5TH January 2020.
Nice! My times aren't even close to the pros or ARRC boys but I suppose it's a reference for people to learn.
See you there 😉

+Soon Cheong Tan (Rex) agreed..
Rex Tan well explained!
Damn that r1m looks smooth n easy to ride. Nice video bro
Tks! And the bike really makes it so much easier to do better lap times
Hi Rex, may I know what sprockets you're running for this video?
It's Stock sprockets
How much does it cost to participate on a track day with a motorcycle in Sepang? And when are there open track days for MCs in the first place?
Look up SBR Trackdays, they organise them thru the year.
Anyone else just in love with this bike
I like your honesty to admit you missed the apex 👍 good video thx
Nothing to hide! And it's a constant work in progress. Last thing I want is viewers thinking this might be the line to take. 😅

Hi Michael Wong, new vid added, ruclips.net/video/tK8smGKYMVQ/видео.html
Smooth and easy to ride...
Were you trying out 2 and 4 finger braking?

Nice consistent riding bro!
turbosave tks!
Amazing
amazing, go yamaha
great video to watch while stoned
2.17/18 on track days are already in the pro timing. Very helpful as i cant brake the 20s bracket. Thanks.
erwandy mohd I am glad you found it useful!
I wish I had a bike. I'm not even talking about those big bikes.just a duke 390 or something like that.
Bless you
That was good tho 👍👍👍
6speed?
Yes. But I didn't change my sprocket size so can't reach 6th gear
@@cheong1106 okay thanks broder
bike sound like motogp 15
you can go even faster if you can step up your engine braking(downshifting) game
zen azhar oh do elaborate and tks for sharing!

zen azhar I see, tks for sharing and will explore!
welcome! pleasure to share my findings to fellow rider
13-14 seconds slower than ARRC 1000s. Not bad.
Tks! And ya, goal is to get to 2:15 or under .. but very limited chance to ride... Sigh...
You gotta learn a lot from Valentino. LOL.
Ngana Wicaksono , I have a lot to learn from everybody! if there's a chance to learn from Rossi, would be best!
Ngana, this guy timed 2.18 is good, don't mention Valentino, u got to learn more about moto racing.
marc marquez the best not rossi
OMG only 7 seconds slower than Rossi on a m1. wow
7 seconds is huge bro
As stated in the topic 2.18s, Rossi fastest time is 1.59s & race pace are 2.1s - 2.3s, so much different

Its not 7sec, its 18sec, anyway good effort, with stock street bike & rider category.
u know what ..sebastian vettel smash this track record 1.30m..haha..rossi 2.10
Braking too early!
Amarendra Kumar will look at it!
Rex Tan good luck 👍
POYO LAH KAU
Wat the fish?
