They truly are one of the best Finnish metal bands of all time, with so much consistency and great music over the years, Shallow the Sun definitely deserve this placement
This is why album art/covers are important, I would've never clicked and listened to this if it wasn't for the cool as hell art. Plus, in a way, it enhances the experience and gives you an idea of the mood and world the music is telling.
I agree, although I was going to watch anyway because they're one of my favorite bands. I'm not sure if I found them because of the album art, though, because the first album I listened to was Hope that doesn't actually have that much of a standout cover art, but many other artists I probably have

I knew from the instrumental this would be a song that reaches deep into the being, grabs hold, and takes a beautifully terrible flight. Astoundingly powerful and memorable. May be STS's strongest song yet in my opinion.

I had a great experience meeting Mikko after a StS set a few years ago. Genuinely nice guy and complimented me on my Necrophagia shirt. Right before my friends and I left he actually came up to me to tell me thank you for coming out to the show and for talking with him.

Songs of the North is a 3 disc masterpiece. First one is clean and growled vocals, second is all cleans, third is pure doom, no cleans.
You're in for a treat my friend. Their early stuff is borderline perfect. This new album is still pretty good of course.
Hope is an unparalleled masterpiece. All their albums are great but Hope is a cut above IMHO.
