  • The Slavic peoples had various versions of how the earth was created - in one version, the supreme god Rod existed in darkness, while an egg contained Svarog, the god of fire and blacksmithing. Svarog broke out of the egg and created the world from the pieces of eggshell, including the world tree that separated the heavens from the sea and the land. In another version, two pigeons sitting on an oak in the middle of the ocean created the world. And in what appears to be a Christianized version, God and the devil created the world together.
The reason for these variants could be because of the oral tradition and wide geographical region in which the myth developed. But no matter the version, the myth almost always has two deities, oftentimes one light and one dark, creating the world, as the Slavic people had a very strong dualistic world view.
The version told in this video comes from the “Songs of the Bird Gamayun”, thought to be a prophetic bird of wisdom.

Wow thanks for getting to the Slavic god's 👌 I didn't know that Rod was the head God I had thought it was Perun excellent work 🤔🙏

My pleasure Robert 😀 Thanks for the great suggestion! From what I can gather at this stage, Rod and Svarog occupied the head of the pantheon, but Perun was the "action" god, with the two of them seen in a more passive light. I'm thinking of doing the following video on Perun and Veles 😀 I'm still working on an Etruscan series, which is proving a bit difficult as there is so little left / available of their original religion and mythology.

We can not understand the fascination with death and rebirth in many myths and legends as long as we do not know that our planet Earth is suffering from a cycle of natural disasters. Those disasters cause a huge tidal wave and other havoc and therefore the rapid death of a large part of the world's population. A long time later, a new civilization arises. These natural disasters follow each other in a cycle of five. A serpent in the sky or a dragon represents that natural disaster caused by the ninth planet in our solar system. At 0 min 37 sec we see the symbol of this planet, a square cross in a circle, above the white figutine. Those disasters are inescapable, that is the fate of mankind. Several old books mention this cycle, but they have never been understood. The last disaster took place nearly 6,000 years ago and has faded from our memories. To learn much more about planet 9, the recurring flood cycle and its timeline, the re-creation of civilizations and ancient high technology, read the e-book: "Planet 9 = Nibiru". This book answers many of your questions. It can be read on any computer, tablet or smartphone. Search: invisible nibiru 9
