Man, I hope we get another Atlus sale in the Americas! Europe has had plenty of them at this point, and I missed it last year.
My goodness, please pick up Stella Glow if you have any interest in it! I bought it from an Atlus sale many months ago, and loved it so much I even sought out (and now own) a physical copy of it. One of my favorite RPGs ever 😁

I bought the physical a while ago. I don't hate it. But does it get less wordy and more actual gameplay after the beginning? I'm pretty much where you just get to the castle and have done that training session against the knights. Tried to just let them talk and listen but it was Ike over 30 minutes of just text

@@clydefrosch I think people like to support devs whose work they enjoy and buy legally when they can, which I respect. But obviously life being what it is, I could never judge people who choose to consider other means rather than forego the many masterpieces that only the particularly affluent could enjoy - especially when such means are inexpensive and without any real risk.
@@clydefrosch I’m not against emulation and hacking at all, but I have other devices like my PC and android based handheld gaming systems I can do that on. I both want to support the devs that actually put their games on sale, and also not risk fucking something up or erasing my data if I try to soft mod or hack it. It’s just not worth the risk to me when I have other systems I can emulate stuff on and can emulate 3DS using Citra on my PC. I’ve had my 3DS XL since launch day and don’t have a spare.
Also, I forgot to mention you can buy Nintendo Gift cards 50 bucks only at Costco for 44 bucks, buying 2 gives you 100 and the limit is 6, 2 per buy. In total of 300. Saving about 30 bucks If I am right
My Costco has $100 for $90 and I’ve used it many times.

Just wanted to say thank you for all your hard work! Past year has been by far the worst case of FOMO I have ever experienced, and you've really helped me out find a ton of the more obscure and flawed but fun titles out there that would had passed under my radar otherwise. Think I passed over 100 titles this past year with a lot of help from RUclipsrs like you and I don't regret it one bit.
I should contribute to the effort and mention to anyone with a Japanese 3DS (Yes, all 2 of you) that currently the mother of all sales are going over at the Japanese 3DS Eshop. Pretty much the entire Capcom catalogue for 300yen/3$ each, most of Sega's, Arcsys', Marvelous', Square Enix's and other companies catalogue, tons and tons of indie titles for basically nothing, the list goes on. Last I checked it was around 15 pages of stuff for dirt cheap. Think I saw one sale named something along "Thank you 3D sale" which summarizes the feeling going on over there.
Finally, remember people that this is not the end. Once the store closes, that is when the gaming truly begins! Hope you all picked up something you like, and happy gaming to you all!

As someone who owns Gurumin on psp, please don’t miss out on it. It kept me entertained on a flight to and from Japan back in 2008. Amazing game and so worth having at that price. I paid $40 new on psp and it was worth it
I have Gurumin physical and from the 3DS eshop. It's an amazing game.
I wish they made the Gurumin 3DS themes free again, as I have a second 3DS that I am loading up for my niece, when she turns 8 in three years.

7:17 A weird fact about Gurumin:
The most interesting part of it is my opinion is the rank you get once you cleared a dungeon. Which other game treats how many pots you broke as a score?
It might seem superficial at first but the ranking really makes you want to replay dungeons and try to go for perfection.
Dungeon Fighter Online does that. But that's a freemium game on Steam.
I like the PSP version which has big two glitches, and the Steam release has cheats and fixed the bugs, but the 3D effects on the 3DS really make this version the definitive release.
Amusingly enough there is a game that counts boxes broken as a score bonus in a way

I already had Stella Glow, the Etrian Odyssey games (all of them actually 😅), Culdcept Revolt and SMT Devil Survivor 2 from a previous sale that you reported. All of them are superb games, particularly Stella Glow and the Etrian series. So I might get Soul Hackers, and maybe RPG Maker as well, before the end of the eshop.

I'm gonna be quite upset if we don't get this sale in North America... Already spent quite a bit for a bunch of other 3ds games and while I'm interested in the Atlus games unfortunately I can't afford all at full price anymore.

Great time to pick up these Atlus games. We know that the physicals are gonna age like wine. I'm temped just to buy them digitally, so I don't need to cartridge swap.
Important to note that Persona Q digital is the only version guaranteed not to fail. There was a problem with multiple batches of the original cart where the carts are dying or dead.
Alas the file sizes are astronomical which is more of a barrier than the price. 18000 blocks!
Figured I’d share that Red Riding Hood Zombie BBQ has been delisted, one of the DSIware games that have a physical going for insane prices and was covered in one of your videos. Quite disappointed as I was not able to buy it, kinda hoping it gets relisted but I know its very unlikely. Kinda scared this might happen to other games prior to the 27th

I just want atlus to make the sale global! I own all the smt games digitally on the 3ds and I own smt IV physically because it’s one of my favorite games on the system. I would love to pick up atlus’s other games besides radiant hystoria because I also bought it digitally. I just so bummed more companies aren’t trying to have one last blowout sale.

Yes I noticed that today when I bought in US e shop , even tho I downloaded all updates from search devil survivor 2 wasn’t there till after I purchased it digitally.
I have a few pages of the nintendo eshop opened in my browser for the last 1 and a half years. 3 times it occured that SMT soul hackers, Record Breaker and Persona Q were on sale. But NOT Persona Q 2, SMT Strange Journey, SMT 4 and SMT 4 appocalyps.. wtf!!!!

This isn't an Atlus sale. In Europe some of these games are published by NIS. That's the loophole and the reason some (Persona Q2) aren't available.

Persona Q is excellent, although it does get pretty challenging towards the end. I’ve heard fantastic things about Stella Glow (and actually own it myself digitally already), but I haven’t personally played it yet.

Hello. I want to delete some games from my 3DS to make space to download others because I want to buy the DLCs. If I uninstall such games with already bought DLCs will I be able to redownload the DLCs in the future along the games? Because on the eShop directly I can only redownload the game....
I cant find anyone with the answer and have little to no time left. I want to buy other DLCs but not If I will lose the ones I have. Help me please!!!! Almost no time left😢
I'm not sure. but I think you can keep the DLC even if you delete the game? DLC is in a separate section of Data Management. You could also upgrade your SD card, or if it's too late to get one, backup up your SD to a PC.

I found the answer. I contacted Nintendo for support and they told me that If you go to your account activity on the eShop and the DLC is listed there then you will be able to re-download It in the future even If you erase everything from your console including the Save File. As long as It is there It is safe. They told me 99% of paid DLCs are re-downloadable. For example consumables are lost If you erase.
They also told me almost like 90% of all free content will not be posible to re-download It once erased. This includes Demos. Because they are not stored on the acc. activity.
Monster Hunter DLC and Professor Layton DLCs will go forever If you erase them too. So as long as I paid some real money for It and It is on the Acc. activity It is safe. The rest not. So I am keeping those free to not lose them and erasing the rest to make space for some final purchases. ;)

Unfortunately I think the chance is slim. Atlus was advertising doing a sale this month but suddenly backed down and canceled the whole thing, for unknown reasons. So I think its unlikely. The reason it's happening in Europe is because there NIS is in charge of the shots. But hope dies last! Im still hoping for sure, count on me to let you know as soon as it happens, Charlie!
Well… I bought all atlus games digitally in US Eshop the last 2 days , cuz yes they have sales for consoles too but not in uS eshop , so I bought them fearing it will be delisted early or can’t get the DLCs in them … working on it too

Will it be even worth buying these games digitally? If my 3DS breaks for whatever reason, will I just lose everything? Last time I had to switch over to a replacement 3DS, I had to get nintendo support to release my account on the old 3DS. I wonder if Nintendo will continue having this capability.
If you mod the system, you can backup all the purchased games and software. Backups of legally acquired software aren't illegal.
I've been waiting for Gurumin 3D to go on sale in Europe as well... don't tell them I'm still going to buy it for the regular price.
Don't! I heard yesterday that its confirmed by the dev that it will go on sale, apparently tomorrow, in Europe! I will give it a shout out on twitter once it does, and will let you know personally here too. Not 100% sure of course, but hold it for a few days!

Why is Atlus doing this to me?
When I first saw Etrian Odyssey I was kinda hesitant because I recognised the art style as one a l*lic*n would have. (I've been an artist for about 6 years, you come to recognise things like that after a while) When I saw how cheap the games were, I changed my mind and was tempted to buy them, but decided to do some research first. Come to find out, Yuji Himukai, the character artist for Etrian Odyssey, was banned from twitter for drawing child p*rn. I feel sick. But yeah. My hunch was correct. Needless to say I'm not buying them anymore.
I also felt uncomfortable with at least one 2D character design. Female character designs often look sexist when comparing male and female depiction (female depiction generally more revealing and below age 30). But this issue is not specific or particular for Etrian Odyssey. The most "offensive" depiction (in terms of "Western" standards) being the almost naked design of the indigeneous item shop owner "girl". For their defense, one could say, traditional indigenieous people really do not wear much clothes in some cases, it's almost plausible, if there would be more body painting. But why an indigenous woman which does not really fit in? Slavery? However, I saw much worse in other games than in Etrian Odyssey. The graphics are in the acceptable range, no pornographic or otherwise notable sexual depiction. As a pre-adolescent kid, I would not even notice anything. As a kid, I did not notice anything related female depiction in the games, only after adolescence. From my experience, sexualization of female breats is a socially created phenomenon, not an inherent thing.
Also, it looks like a problem more common to Japanese graphical media. They have more tolerance for hepephilia, ephebophilia, resembling child-like porn, in crafted visuals. The Etrian games hooked me gameplaywise, they were more engaging than I expected, that's why I happily bought them. I would not agree with concerns of pornographic female depiction in these games. It's a level which is normal for lower-age Japanese games. The most notable case where your issue affected me was when I very hesitated buying the Shantae games until the current discount.
Respect for you to keep up your morals over just "fun"!

It isn't an Atlus sale. The games are distributed by NIS in Europe. Think yourself lucky. We got zero from Capcom.

Yeah, these are mostly in Europe, except the last 3 games: Culdcept Revolt, RPG Maker FES and Gurumin 3D, those 3 are in the Americas.
