I love these unboxing videos! What else do you need for a complete rig? Side note: Just ordered the Antlia Alp-T dualband filter and wanting to start making videos, what camera do you record with?
still waiting on my back ordered 2” Optilong filter set to be truly ready. Using my existing mini filter wheel causes vignette and weird issues with flats. for recording videos, I use my iPhone, a GoPro and sometimes the built in camera on my iMac. GoPro definitely shines if your mobile while recording with its stabilization capability, but the only way to get the video files to your computer quickly is to remove the memory card and use a card reader. The GoPro app is a super slow method of sending the files to your computer.
looking forward to your videos! Btw, I installed the trial version of PixInsight. It’s a learning curve, but i see how it may be superior to the other software in several ways.
Even though I was limping along with a mismatched filter wheel for my new rig, I had captured the California Nebula and the Horsehead Nebula before all these clouds took up residence here. I've been trying out post processing in PixInsight and even though the data captured wasn't optimal, I'm seeing how it has a lot of potential. But of course, processing monochrome/filter captured data expands the time/effort. However, my hope is that I'll be able to produce more detailed images as I ramp up on the learning curve. But now, the clouds won't go away. It can be sunny during the day here, but every night the clouds are here. Some weather pattern has gotten stuck.
Impressive!
thanks for watching!

@@marksastrojourneyI’m hoping I can upgrade to pixinsight soon, it’s going to be a huge stepup
