The transformer and that you go the rectifiers. You might want to check those replace the rectifiers. Also, it can be the capacitors that controls the fan. Don't know if that one has a fan. Please let me know. Gunny, USMC
Buy a group 27 or 31 boat battery for CB power and charge it when you finish talking . NO noise and simple, nothing to repair and cheaper too. Headache solved. Trash the Pyramid.

The SCR is part of the overvoltage protection.
Did you replace the rectifier?
What was the SCR Part Number and the Amperage Rating - was it the same part number as the one you were replacing?
The SCR stands for Silicone Control Rectifier
