    I would love to see a longer version of repairs like this, of you going in and showing what you're checking and the entire process.

      Well, yes, that would be ideal, but recording every step is a lot of work, and it slows down the process considerably, so it was hard in this case to convince myself to record the process, which easily could turn out to be a dead end.

    I have TL 866 version 2 and T56 programmers . I use it to fix nand corruption failure in agilent 2000\3000 scopes.

      Is there an eevblog post about doing it directly at the nand level? I spent a full day hunting down firmware images and preparing USB sticks to recover mine

    You need to do this according to my mate Harry twice! Or else it is a fluke?

    I was expecting lines on the screen - lol -, but I think that was the mono LCD.

    • @feedback-loop
      @feedback-loop  3 дня назад +1

      Not only that was mono, but an old version 192, 196 or 199 with no suffix. 19xB was mono as well, but with a different LCD that did not have that problem. And 190-xxx is a new line with 4-channel model available and Li-ion battery.

    Is it not possible to restore the firmware without removing the flash? Most devices have a DFU mode which allows reprogramming even with bad firmware.

      Fluke must have some utility to program freshly assembled units with blank chips, but they don't share it.

    No joke about this being just a fluke. Because it might be the OEM product.

    Tough fix, ahh! That kind on failure speaks very poorly from Fluke. That's an unacceptable fault.

    @2:11 𝗒𝗈𝗎 𝗙𝗜𝗫𝗘𝗗 𝗜𝗧... You fixed it at 2:11. Say what? 𝟣𝟥𝟣 seconds! My romantic aspirations last longer than that. And that's saying something for me. I just sat down with a cold one (my wife), popcorn and some free time to catch a little P.A.M. (𝗣ain, 𝗔nguish & 𝗠isery or 𝗠iracle - depending on the outcome). I just want to know who I should contact to get a full refund? That might be a little hasty.. considering, technically I didn't spend anything. But that's not the point. It's the principle. My advise is to take a "dive" now again? You know, to put a little fumble in your bumble. Us viewers love that. Just saying... You are after all the.. "𝑅𝑒𝑡𝑖𝑟𝑒𝑑 𝑆𝑐𝑜𝑝𝑒𝑚𝑒𝑡𝑒𝑟 - 𝓦𝓱𝓲𝓼𝓹𝓮𝓻𝓮𝓻 ". Thank you for the video, no matter. p.s Good fix! Blaw blaw blaw
