The problem is not the playing style, its the players at Man Utd. Players who're talented but have enormous, dumb egos. Rashford, Sancho, Martial, Pogba. Two are now gone. Another one or two sooner. Thankfully the former boards is eradicated but they played a big role in letting such players think they have certain levels in the club. We need players who knows that football is not just talent anymore, you need to have both talent & hard work. All the best players are not like Martial, Rashford & co. Look at Ronaldo & Messi, the lengths they'd reach to be where they are presently. Pele. Maradona. Cantona. Johann. Giggs. Scholes. Vidic. J.Terry. Drogba. Rooney. Aguero. DeBruyne & so so so on. Hake is a tactical genius with eye for detail and a strict drillmaster. Van Nistelrooij a charismatic, approachable club legend that players look up to. These guys are on the same page and to me this sounds like a brilliant coaching team. Ten Hag will also have the back up against player power types like Sancho. Big upgrade from vd Gaag and McLaren

Transitional football is what you see under klopp, very deliberate style and you don't need space in behind to create opportunities for goal, you can create your own chances in any part of the play even when opponents defend deep.
