Hi brent, this is Jim, the guy who told you about my 1960 352 hi po in a 1956 Ford that I rebuilt with everything stock but slightly ported heads and Crane solid lifter cam and beefed up cruisamatic trans. This was back in 1969. The only close race I had was with a 400 hp 409 chevy 4 speed. He would sometimes edge me out but most times I would beat him on the street. I sold that car and built a 390 with pop up pistons, 427 crank, 427 hi riser heads milled to about 11.0/1 compression, 427 holmon and moody solid lifter cam (I think it was 310 degrees at about 0600 lift), lemans rods and a signle four barrel intake with an 800 double pumper, with a 4 sp trans. I had a ford machine shop install cross bolts on the 390 block, it looked like a 427. I ran that motor in a 1963 falcon with straight front axle. The only cars that could touch me were the beefed up 427 chevys. It was a terror! As a result I got two recklous drive tickets and lost my license for a year. I think the cops were jealous. I sold the car and regret it to this day. After that I gave up street racing but it is still in my blood. That's probably why I watch your channel. Keep up the good work and don't pay attention to the nay sayers!
I could only fit low riser heads on my 390 cyclone. With ford D cam and 850 DP ran best 12.00 flat. Never got under 12s but still say I went 11.99s in ytube lore
Great looking new goodies on JJ😎👍
