I am not much of a lego structural builder, I am more into mechanical designs, vehicles etc, but I do dig watching and seeing the direction you take with these videos. Finding a stash of awesomeness is always a delight. Since I am building for my childhood love of old and new legos and also for my son who at this post is only five, my selection process of what haul varies. For myself I try to find a stash of technic pieces, for my son loves cars I will to stashes that has wheels, this way I can show him how to build vehicles. He does have interest for my technic builds due to the many moving parts and intricate designs. His usage is limited to within my range of sight as kids tend to loose small pieces.
Back in the early 2000's. I bought a lot off of ebay. I got great ship parts and the old rock BURP's. I had a great time working those into MOCS before I knew that was a thing.
A couple of years ago I bought 30 kilos of lego for $600 From that I managed to assemble the Pirate ship from Lord of the Rings along with a hobbit dwelling along with a number of marvels including Dr Strange building plus about $11,000 worth of bricks based on rebrickable prices. It was a long drawn out affair cataloguing what I had and there was a number of non Lego but the vast vast majority was Lego along with about 130 minifigs. If you have the patience and the luck it can be very rewarding
I really enjoyed watching this video and congratulations on the haul~ I was just scrolling on RUclips for some Lego Halloween content and your moc definitely stood out.

It’s like dumpster diving for parts in your haul. 🤣it’s a little adventure every part you pull out.
Cool

Amazing … but it takes soooo long., I’d rather be building than sorting that’s what I decided
Absolutely I won't do that again@@ridzbricks
