yo, this is a prototype unit! GB closes soon, but dw there will be more future runs.
Today we check out the Ikki68 Aurora, a budget friendly gasket mount custom mechanical keyboard from Wuque Studio. It has a heap of customisability to it to make it your own, modular gasket chips, interchangable badges, a variety of key layouts, and much more.
Thanks to Hong Hobbies for providing the keyswitches :

This man actually water-pressed a legend onto each key. That's true commitment
yolo
Could you show a more in depth process on how you got those legends onto the keycaps? They look soooooooo good, I want to do that myself
oh that? if you build model kits, that's pretty normal.
@@dzaneenadaze this is not taeha (?)
Is he good fam
OMG, this is so good! and the thock on that spacebar!! Forget about the so call high-ends, I have all of them and none of them sound this good! And most importantly, this even has wireless lol. that's literally the best keyboard in the entire hobby right now.
I know you showed where to get the keycaps from but I'm dying to know how putting the legends on them works and where to get the supplies. It looks incredible and I'd love to do something similar for my rama kara azur.
Omg I’ve been using that keycap set for my custom key tester board and sometimes for accents pieces on my boards. I’ve always had the idea to add legends to them like you did! What process did you use for it? Looks awesome 👏
ayo peep dubchaeng in the back lets go!
Did you print your own waterslides?
yup
This keyboard brought back memories of having that transparent gameboy all those years ago
It also reminds me of the see through green N64
9:24 "delet"

@@TaeKeyboards what are those switchess
The amount of effort you put into your builds is just staggering. Putting custom LEGENDS on a keycap set is not something I thought I'd ever see. That's just incredible.
I am here to say this. Well done!
Soz on the colours with this vid, some may be off, was playing around with settings. Thanks joy ❤️
Amazing video tae! 💚
yoooooo
sorry to disturb you, but what site did you use for the typing test?! Thank you
@@__________________________4073 he used monkeytype
lmao my name is Joi (pronounced joy) and when he said "i love you joy" I was so confused until I realized he was talking about red velvet
Proof that you don't need a fancy GMK keycap set for your board to sound *chef's kiss*
affordable or not my wallets gonna cry either way 😭
yeah but the case is sooo nice! because that is clearly foremost to our concerns. lol atleast it's not another f'ing 60%
@@anasevi9456 That second sentence is part of why I went down the 40% rabbit hole.
@@derkaiser9881 When you're the guy who finds 60% attractive ...
Tae actually made this video not to show off the board, but to promote Dahyun and Chaeyoung's Melody project playing in the background
nice
Those keycaps hold more value than most regular gmk sets in my eyes
1:35 Switch to me ver of Chaeyoung and Dahyun :D
Can't wait for the Twice themed keyboard!
its so cool to see how ur production quality rose over the last couple years, i learned a lot ab keebs from ur vids! thanks for doing what u do :)
I'm so impressed with the way those keycaps turned out. Cost very little money and with the custom water transfers looks like a much more expensive set. The full clear build looks great, reminds me of the old school clear Game Boys and N64s. Fantastic work and thanks for the video/review!
Dubchaeng on the background is cool
1:13 so Australian xD
Those printed legends look amazing! But I didn't get how you made them. Is that some sort of special printer you have to use? Or does a laser printer do it as well? Did you do a video on that technique :)?
Thanks in advance!
Hi TAE, plz make a loona custom keyboard :), im an orbit and reveluv to
Man literally has a large box filled with keycaps, which I don't know how much all of those cost.
7:50 Put on dot stickers and you get GMK Dots 🤣
this man really made a build with $6 keycaps sound amazing
Nice move on putting Joy's IG on the Enter key tho HAHHAHAHA
Your reviews are the most thorough and easy to digest among all the ikki review boards I've watched (and there has been a lot) thank you for your work :)
hey! uhh... you know what would be a great video idea? no? well i'll tell you it anyways! you could build a keyboard for... you know! a subscriber... like... me? *hint* *hint*
I'm happy I'm not the only one with that big drawer for my keeb stuff.
reminds me of the old macs and keyboards from 15/20 years ago, the coloured translucent appearance aged well
Actual massive lols at The Wiggles playing the cover of Tame Impala at the end :D Aussies represent :D
so good!
regarding gaskets: symmetry is aestheticly pleasing, but if there is problems with vibration: asymmetry is your friend (reducing nr of 'eigen-frequencies')
ooo cool cool
Modal analysis would verify that.
What does this mean? Do you mean we should alternate the gasket chips in both sides? Or is there no noticeable difference?
@@jordangoh4775 Modal analysis would verify all of the natural frequencies through numerical means.
@@jordangoh4775 don't know for the speciffic case. Just a comment on the assumption in the video that only symmetric mountings are relevant to consider. May not be any tangable effects for this case...
I wish I had a job so I could buy this 😥 One day I'll build a keyboard 🤧
Edit: I want this specific keyboard because of the layout. Best layout out there. 60% is 2nd.
i joined the groupbuy 2 days ago.. so happy you got to tryout a proto.. You always cover points i like to hear and touch on things that are important to me.. excellent job.
Btw i was ll ready to grab the charcoal one then my wife said.. No you already have black boards that's so boring.. As i can't argue with that logic i joined the mint GB... also bought an affordable green keycap set that looked good to me on aliexprex cherry profile..
Also added the brass weight and a 7+1 6.25 mint stab set.. i want to also tryout split spacebar never treid that...
haha, i think for a plastic board, it's fun to get a colour such a mint. It pairs really well with the whole plastic aesthetic imo.
@@TaeKeyboards good point never thought of it that way.. hahaha
I'm a simple man, I see the red velvet logo, I press like
can you showcase a race where I'm not last thanks
but as per usual amazing build and more DIY ideas for the future
i bought the ikki68 4 days ago cant wait to make my first build :)))))))
Maybe I missed it, but what do Gaskets do for the keyboard? I'm new to the mechanical keyboard world, but this is the first time I've seen them being used.
I think it creates a less stiff and more flexible typing experience and has a different sound to non gaskets that people seem to prefer
Thanks for the amazing vid once again. Glad you spent so much time on the GB I hopped on.
Nice!!!!! Was definitely waiting for this. We heard you were going to get the Ikki68Aurora, and man, I'm super excited!
Your setup definitely sounds super nice regarding the board, really digging it. :)
Do you know when the final product will be for sale?
there is currently a group buy happening, and will end very soon. but there will be future runs.
what is the thickness of keyboard plates?
The build was complete when I realized that we were only half way through the vid. What a legend with the keycaps and all the diff configs.
The KBD67 Lite has the same issue when tightening the halves together because the gaskets protrude further than the screw threads. Causes that bowing on the case in between screw points.
Awesome video as always, Tae!
god you are insane i love you hope you are doing well outside of RUclips n mechs
Could you make video about the water decals please
SOOOOBOOTIFUL Thanks for the quality content man!
I see you like Switch To Me cover by Chaeyoung and Dahyun
once uniteee
TWICE numbawan! stan Itzy and Niziu also! 💓
once after reveluv
Good budget board but you already know I'm putting 4 artisan keycaps in the top right haha
Is it me or is most of the flex coming from the case being a little bent? It looks like the bottom of the board is bent upwards and that is what is flexing downwards but I might be wrong
wish i could have this board
making original decal? or
Did you buy it?
I got the SAKA68 coming in. Long live the MF68 layout!
Went ahead and ordered a limited edition Devoted colourway Ikki68 right after watching your video! Nice video! And amazed at the work you put into making stickers for the keycaps :)
first gb board i might actually buy ngl
The keycaps stole the show, consider a dedicated video, maybe trying a few legend colors in different keycap materials and profiles.
The keycaps actually fit this keyboard EXTREMELY well
I dig the color, but unsure about the badge.
Also I see 👀👀 Mamamoo.
what were you doing to the letters that got them on the keycaps? i was kinda confused, it looked like you glued them but i dont see any outlines. also debating on buying this keyboard now but i just bought the portico keyboard from TKC ahhhh
Looks great, sounds great! Price point, I cannot afford. lol! For the lucky ones who got themselves one, enjoy!! :)
DubChaeng in the background 😍
Ken oath mate
I love this so much, especially the key that says "Delet"
ngl, the same thing ahppens on my nk65ee as well but maybe becoz of the PC, the board itself flexes too.
This board got so creative omg the joy custom was sweet! cant wait for the rest of the members lol
soo i saw ur video with the black keyboard in vanta black i believe but there is a blacker black called musou i would like to see you paint a keyboard with this black.
How can you do the tiny little prints for the custom keycaps?? Please i wanna knowwwww
This looks amazing I love the keycaps with the legends!
Can't wait for this to land on my desk, this is my very first keyboard group buy I am so excited
Hey, which stabs should i buy for this keyboard im a little bit confused?
Can’t do a video without kpop can you...
good stuff btw :)
I've already got a Portico on order so I really don't need this, but it does seem to have some unique features with the different configuration support.
if this was a standard 65% layout i would buy the mizu in a heartbeat
i just finished building my mk67lite and I was so close buying this one, even tho I am short on money lol. I think I will enjoy my fresh Mk67 for a while and look into this one in the future. My fingers still itch for this one.
I hope the devoted version hits MOQ. It's getting pretty close
omg it just gets thockier the less gasket chips u have, i love it. i'm so excited for this board to come in.
That Rama Kara just casually chilling under his bed... feels bad man😭
I sincerely like your videos for combining it with KPOP. 너무 행복해 💯
You should do a waterslide tutorial mine never stick on my board
Couple day left for gb. Very tempted to get this missed the nk65 superior.
Such a great board for an amazing price cant wait for mine to arrive
I got the charcoal. You?
@@offbrandegg5378 got charcoal too really wanted the mizu one but missed out
What’s the price?
Nvm
@@shixxe $130 For charcoal and mint. $155 for Mizu and Devoted
True costume keycap
if i may suggest to put a top coat on your waterslides for extra durability
man, of course I find this video the day after the GB ends...
I see the switch to me mv at the back 😜
Nice to see the Mr Mark Setter! Hope it's working out :)
ummmm anyone wanna trade this with a portico??????
Awesome looking build, very unique.
Keycaps are my favourite part actually - good job
if i had known this was live i would have bought it :(((
how do you get the keypresses to show on monkeytype?
somewhere in the many settings haha
STAN DUBCHAENG !!!
These videos are th best
Switch to me 1:35 😎😎
I see you are a man of culture
How did he put the legends on the keys? Does anyone know?
Im so jelly! 💕 Don't do me like this dude! Ugh
Do you have a tutorial where you can show us how to apply the custom fonts on the keycaps? I totally love how you did with this board! ❤️
Yooo I'd want this too. Looks so good!
Hell yeah, watching switch to me in the background!
Spa-Francorchamps!!!
Looks very nice! Thanks for showing the logo chip more! Other videos haven't explained much about it
lol, yeh well the logo chip wasn't really ready at this point. and I don't think the other guys had LEDs there in the first place.
Starting to regret buying the ID67 instead of this as my first custom kb :/
Does stiffness really change the feel significantly? I personally don't think there's anything wrong with a stiff keyboard (not that I have tried typing on both stiff and flexible boards)
