Have my R1 ikki68 and love it. I really like the fact that they made R2 parts compatible with R1 so the first iteration of the board gets improvements. I'm very excited for my alu top case and PC flex plates to come in.

I would love to see you do a video on the r2! Only reason why I didn’t get the wireless was because it didn’t have the same flex cuts that the wired version has and my main keyboard (Logitech mx keys) is already wireless so I’m looking forward to this wired version!

totally not a fan of non per-key rgb pcb custom keyboards. i spent two weeks trying to figure out my first custom build and died inside when i realized the pcb i wanted 60% was just backlit rgb…. so i looked for a pcb with per-key rgb and yea goodluck with that so i gave up on it and realized most custom keyboard builds dont have it or care to and thats why most everyone gets key caps that have colored letters and numbers.. not shine through. HUGE bummer for someone like me who likes to set rgb colors for certain keys… so ima stick to ducky buy another ducky one 2 mini and buy an aluminum case a60 and replace its case and call it a day.. the custom keyboard scene has no room for me and my rgb needs seems like.

The r2 is much much poppies the r2 plates an dumb that are flex cutter fit in this one it's not deeper it has more pop snd is so so good though I can't wait for the r2 flex cut plate and flex cut pcb lol

I know this is cool and all. But all this custom keyboard trends got me tired man. Not everyone is as financially capable as some of you RUclipsrs and first world people. I just want to buy a good new pre-built keyboard from a well known brand like Razer, Logitech etc. I used to watch all your videos but sadly been feeling alienated for the most part of this year. Still its all love though just wanted you to know that

Nothing wrong with that....I can't afford a Lamborgini but it's not going to stop me from enjoying cars. This hobby is about patience and knowing what you want. I've been waiting for a seamless 65% with a brass weight, gasket mount, and monimalist design. And after years of waiting the Hiro65 met every single thing on my checklist and I pulled the trigger. Sold my other keebs to afford it. There's pleeeeenty of other channels that does the budget pre-built "gamer" keebs so you shouldn't feel alienated. RUclipsrs first and foremost should make content on things THEY enjoy and not constantly pander to thier audience.
@@BTaesthetics 100-150$ seems like the sweet spot man. I gotta correct myself and elaborate on what I said before that I’ve been feeling that reviewers and creators need to do more on calling out big name brands that their new keyboards suck or the fact that they are not coming up with enough new and interesting products, for example like doing a comparison video with the custom keyboards can be cool and show the noobs how they can improve and what we gamers actually really want right now. If people like you can critic and voice these concerns out a little on each of your related videos then sooner or later they will notice. That’s the power you and other youtubers like badseedtech, randomfrankp, thetechne etc. have - It’d be some real influencer shit man - the influence-ing that really matters. The product don’t really have to be from a big name though that’s not what I’m saying - it’s just the fact that they’re most often good on logistics and availability internationally.
He makes plenty of vids on prebuilt boards like the ducky boards. If you want a cheap keyboard just go buy a Redragon bruh lol

Got R1 charcoal with OA stabs and NK creams (broken in) and I get that wonderful rattle can sound from it. I love it. Just need to tune my stabs.

Can confirm this is a killer board - just be wary of clearance issues with some keycaps like MT3 - the bezel clearance is really tight.

As someone who’s looking for a keyboard with hotswap and good out of the box stabilizers (that I don’t have to lube myself) is there anything you can recommend? I don’t care too much about the looks of the keyboard, so therefore RGB doesn’t matter to me. I just want a keyboard I can put my Aqua Kings in and enjoy a great feeling keyboard.

Found out about this board 3 days after the R2 buy ended, but was able to grab an extra R1 kit that I'm just waiting on the brass weight for! Gonna put some Boba U4's in when they arrive and probably the GMK Umbra I have on my other board while I wait for Sumi to come in.
This is gonna be my first 'proper' build from scratch so it was definitely a pleasant surprise that the entire experience was so well put together before I've even begun! Thanks for the validation of my purchase and thanks for the quality content as always~
gasket mounts are actually getting very common at this price point
I got the r1 and so far it has been a great board, since I got the added weight and a carbon fiber plate the flex is not really noticeable, but it still a nice typing experience. I bought the e-white alu top, poron kit, and a pom plate from the r2 group buy and I'm excited to see just how good I can get this board to feel and sound.
