I will always be defensive on how badly they treated Ashton after his moment on the ziggurat. They all had a moment that was a danger to one it not all the other characters. Yes it was a selfish decision sure, but he prevailed and instead of encouraging the him on his success they made him fill like crap. Even Fern not wanting the stone and supporting him lashed out in her own way. I felt that was completely unfair.
