I certainly am not a "hater", but this is in no way one of the better versions of this that I have heard. Granted, both are great in themselves, but there is no connection. These are two divas who don't know or don't care about coming together with another. Meh (shrug).
You're right. For a contrast, witness, for example, the version by Devieilhe and Crebassa here on RUclips. There, we have two singers who really sing together, not just beside one another.
@@janbohme I find that Dessay is very engaged with Grigorian, but Grigorian is uncomfortable the whole time because the phrases sit too high for her, so she is not as free as Dessay
