I will NEVER quit IF, I feel too good! I feel and look like I am aging backwards.... It's powerful!! As of yesterday, I weigh less than before I had kids, I have been doing it for 3 years!!
I'm still in the baby-growing and breastfeeding part of my life, so I'm not in the IF part of my life. However, when I've done it before, I always hit a WALL after about a month or two where I just felt exhausted and unmotivated. I think I made it to four months during one try, but I would love some advice on eat foods that prevent that slump? I know, Jennifer, you don't follow a certain diet and much of your food is just satisfying. Maybe I was trying to do too low calorie on top of IF?
Love your books and videos. You are a gem in this world of crassness. Thank you! I have been doing IF naturally forever. When I was younger, I took a lot of harassment about not eating breakfast or skipping lunch if I eat a brunch - basically follow a 2-meal plan and rarely snack. I also serve dinner at 5:00-5:00 and always have done. So it’s wonderful to receive validation for what I intrinsically knew. I weigh what I did in high school, moderately exercise daily, and eat healthy (cut the sugar!!). Having meaningful activities that stimulates you is important too. I am 69 and never sick and on NO medication. Neither is my husband, 76, and he credits me for the compliments we receive about how young and vital we look. Life is very good.
Today is my 44th birthday and I’ve just begun IF about 2 weeks ago. Migraines, jaw pain, and fatigue have gripped me since my c-section last year, leading to depression. I’ve already lost 8 pounds and I’m having less pain. You’ve been so inspiring and motivating. Thanks for all your great advice. God bless!
Agree with everything you’re saying here. A year ago I decided to stop with snacking after dinner in order to address my heartburn. I began feeling so much better, and then through some serendipitous events realized I was doing the IF method! I began feeling good enough to start exercising regularly and found a community center with some great classes. So, a year into it my life has changed in so many ways. I know that my immune system is in good working order and that’s especially important right now. Did I mention that I’m in my mid-60’s?? It’s never too late to make changes in your life. Thank you, Jennifer.
I started IF the last week of December 21. I’m down 36 pounds, I feel better, I sleep better and have mental clarity. I give you 100% credit. That’s when I found your videos on IF. So thank you so much. I’m 61 so weight loss isn’t easy.
@@TheDailyConnoisseur I also give you 100% credit, Jennifer. At 65, I've experienced all of the points you mentioned, but would have missed it all if you hadn't made it seem so do-able. I think you are helping more people than you know. Many blessings to you! 🌿
I have lost 8 lbs in 5 weeks and I am not even exercising. I don't feel the need to exhaust myself. In fact when I tried to include weight lifting I wasn't able to fast because I was exercising in the evening and then I had to eat. Now I do low intensity exercises like walking and low weight dumbbells but that's it. And I am losing weight very steadily.
Jennifer, I have been IF since beginning of April. I’m down 15 lb, and with little anxiety. Before, I took CBD two or three times a day. One day, a couple of weeks into IF I realized I hadn’t had to take any in weeks. I just didn’t need it. Life without a lot of anxiety is fabulous.
I started on March 11th after seeing one of your IF videos and I am down 15 pounds! I didn't weigh myself until recently when I noticed that my clothes were fitting much looser. I often watch your videos for inspiration to keep at it. I've noticed that I feel better and am sleeping better. I also love your other content as well :) Thank you!
I have also been intermittent fasting for several years and I am everything you are experiencing too. I have never felt better and never slept better in my life and I am older than you. I now wake up in the morning with that extremely restful deep/rem sleep. I also lost 30 pounds and I believe this is a way of life as well. ❤️
I've started and stopped this so many times but haven't been committed long enough to see any results. I have 2 young kids and im a working Mom so life is hectic. You've finally convinced me to give this a real shot. Im going to start my first fast after dinner tonight and give myself a 6 month time frame so I can actually see and feel the difference. Thank you for your videos on this.
It’s beautiful how much freedom Discipline actually brings to our life! I love it as well. Thank you for reinforcing so called old school ideas that actually make so much sense and make life better.
After watching your one year results from IF I was inspired to start and at the age of sixty-six i have never felt better! I have struggled with my weight all my life but find it so easy, with many health benefits. Thank you so much x
I have been doing IF for years on and off and it never quite worked for me. Because of you, Jennifer, I moved my window so that it closes around 4, I had never thought I could do that time period. It has been a game changer! I have been easily losing weight since April and I haven’t cut back on any of the foods I like. I wish I had started when you put your first 1 year check in. You have totally helped me. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I also like living with parameters and boundaries :) You're a great proponent of making changes to your lifestyle, tweak as necessary and reviewing regularly. Been a fan of your channel for years xx
I agree with everything you said! You were the inspiration when I started my IF journey 2-3 months ago. I did just as you do (16:8) but after few days I found it overwhelming so I skipped breakfast. Then I found afternoon tea overwhelming and I kissed it goodbye (I was a tea(time) lover). Now I have lunch at 11am and dinner at 3pm-4pm and I've never felt better. I don't miss baked goods or desserts (I was a dessert lover), if I think I want something as dessert it's a demi-tasse cup of black coffee with a couple of pieces of 99 percent dark chocolate, a small wedge of rich cheese or a few almonds. Thank you for getting me onboard!
@@anzorisly I have (about 15 lb) even though it was not my intention (I wasn't overweight). I just wanted to feel good and make peace with my stomach 🙂Nowadays I am not so rigid with my eating window - I just eat according to my needs. Yesterday I had lunch at 11am, then a natural unsweetened yoghurt at 3pm, a glass of wine at 3.30pm, and then again lunch today at 11am
Many, many years ago before The phrase Intermittent fasting was a thing, I had stopped all after dinner snacking. We had always eaten dinner early 4:30 to 5. I never lost even one pound. Until many years later went on a carefully curated diet. The Southbeach diet. It has different phases to go through including after you lose the weight a maintenence plan. I eat 3 modest meals and 2 very small snacks. I have seen what you eat; which is wonderful and balanced, but it just goes to show you that everyones body is different . I never would have lost any weight even eating the meals that you eat. I lost 48 lbs. and have kept it off for 4 years so far.
Hi Jennifer, I 'm 49 years old, started IF about 4 weeks ago, having watched the video with the weight loss paediatrician from last year - that was a great video - and just decided to give it a go. I've lost 8 pounds and started feeling more energetic. It's winter here, so I do give myself grace and enjoy the odd piece of chocolate if I'm craving it.. but like you, it's nice to focus on genuine signals of hunger and eat within the window of time. Have also noticed increased clarity of thought when planning and writing. My only real problem has been that if I've had a stressful day and wake at 3 am - a small snack helps me get back to sleep. Hoping to fade that out as time goes on.
I knew about intermittent fasting, but I decided to finally do it after watching your video. I really love it because I don't have to think about food after a certain time. It's almost like a burden has been lifted.
I began IF at the beginning of this year after watching one of your videos xx so far ive lost almost 19 pounds - and yes there is so much more to this than numbers on a scale - I feel stronger than I have ever felt before and know my inflammation is down xx I’m nearly 60 and feel like I’ve got my body back !!
What timing ... this morning I just asked myself "why am I doing this intermittent fasting"? I have lost the weight I wanted to lose, 'then' found intermittent fasting, and I've now been into it for 2 months. My answer to self was, I like that "the kitchen is closed 18 hours" ... at 74 years I've never had that food guideline ... so far, this is the best Pro and no cons, yet! Thank you for your calm presence and very interesting videos ... bonnie on the west coast XO
I have been on and off trying to eat well and get nowhere with my weight. I finally made my mind up and decided to begin intermittent fasting. I will stick with it for two weeks to begin since I struggle with snacking and need to curb my appetite so that I do not overeat. I will work on watching your older videos again to keep my motivation up.
I read a quote from an IF book, “Don’t deny just delay.” Fasting delaying the meals it’s fun. It’s easy to alternate fasting windows everyday. It’s awesome, I now weight the same as middle school. At my petite height i now wear size Small in everything, 😱And have three little kids. I’m 39 years old, any one can do it. Make sure you walk everyday.
IF has changed my life! In my 40s I feel so much better than I did in my late 20s and 30s!!! I have lost a ton of weight and maintained it for 3 years now. I have all the benefits you mentioned. I feel alive. I do a fairly meat based carnivore/ Keto diet with it because I no longer have a gall bladder this helps me a lot. But if I want treats I don't restrict myself all the time then I just fast accordingly and its just so easy now! Something I have tweaked is having smaller eating windows. I eat to complete satisfaction within a 2-4 hour windows or less and then I just stop. I have worked my way up to this and change it up sometimes to trick my body! It really works!!! No wonder the word says to fast! It totally resets your body! God bless x
Thank you Jennifer! Such great information and you have definitely given me many reasons to try intermittent fasting. You look amazing and it’s easy to see that you feel just as wonderful on the inside! 💛🤗💛
I love all the IF content. I have started and stopped so many times-I am going to commit to doing this for the summer so I can actually see some results that I am hoping will lead to a lifetime of IF.
Thank you Jennifer for these videos on IF, and keep them coming. I'm looking forward to part 2 😀. I especially like your videos on 'what I eat in a day' because they give some great meal ideas and it all looks so elegant and delicious. I'm 70 and have struggled with yo-yo dieting since my first diet at age 14. I started IF about a month ago and will never diet again. I do 16:8 most days and sometimes 18:6 or 20:4. I typically eat two meals a day but my portions are slightly more than yours, although I am beginning to get full on less. I also eat dinner around 5-5:30 and like the feeling of not eating again until later the next morning. I adopted your idea of having 'tea time' with a delicious treat around 2-2:30 pm. It's an important part of not feeling deprived and I look forward to it. P.S. I love your hair. Although my hair is now white, I am growing it long and also feel like I'm aging backwards 😉
Please do a part 2 on this video because I am really interested in intermittent fasting. I am in my early 60's and I never had problems with my weight. I was always thin until I hit 40 and thats when my body started to change. I was on the fence with diabetes ( it's in my family ). I had to go on a strict diet and my blood work went back to normal. My problem is, I have a sweet tooth I love cookies, cakes. I can't over eat that stuff anymore like I did when I was in my twenties and thirties. I did some research on chamomile tea it has a lot of benefits like lowering blood sugar so I do drink it frequently. I just want to loose my stomach a little. I use to walk but now I have a tour meniscus on my right knee. Yesterday I had to see my surgeon to get another shot for the pain. I am a mess, lol. Thank you for your videos I enjoy them. :)
You are not a mess..just hit. A bump.. I am 74 and know what a meniscus tear feels like an it takes a good year to heal.. I now can do just about everything. Diabetes is a diet disease…easy to eat yourself in to it. I have been at the pre-diabetic door and I cut out carbs and now back to normal. This IF is amazing and I hope to stick with it ..Best of luck
I pretend there are little workers in my body, and when I overeat, I’m overworking my employees. I have a WHOLE “little people in my body” analogy.. but we don’t have to get into that. 😅
I will never stop 16:8 IF! I feel so great and sleep well and have had so many health benefits! My doctor cut my blood pressure meds down 3 times, which made me so happy! have lost 10 lbs with no problem. I didn’t do it to lose weight but it just happened. And I feel fantastic and I’m 65! I have so much energy. I feel like it’s one of the best things I’ve done for myself. I eat between 9a to 5p. It was very easy for me when I started IF, which surprised me!
I did it for a week in May, and lost 2lb and felt the mental clarity. However, I stopped because I'm breastfeeding and my supply went down a bit. I know how to lose the weight (~20lb) when I'm done breastfeeding in 5 months. I took with me the not snacking lesson, and my weight has not gone up. I just can't/won't do the 16/8 just yet.
Ive done IF before and it does indeed work. I need to reincorporate it again. I'm 5ft3 and I'm at 130 lbs. I've always been 110to115 lbs until I reached 39ish. I'm 44 now and I really need to get back onto the program. I used to do 16/8 method. I know as you age your body changes. Thanks for your words of encouragement. It's about priorities and having peace that you are making good choices.
Great video thanks. I love IF but 16:8 doesn't work for me for weight loss. I need 19 or 20 hrs. But I think 16:8 is great for maintenance. I watch another RUclips lady who says 'fast long and feast well' and that's my adopted motto. I do try to eat low carb because that's best for overall health but don't do keto. Just good protein and fats. Thanks for your video.
Touch wood !! You look so radiant and more and more young despite being à mum of 4 children..😊 I love your humbleness and your sincerity ... 😘 Stay blessed..💗 Love you.. 🤗
Love you Jennifer. You motivated me to start intermittent fasting. Immense benefit I can see. It has change my life. I am more energetic and less stressful. Eating plays very important part on how we feel and intermittent fasting helps to feel good. Weight loss as you mentioned just the beginning, so far I lost 17 pounds. Thank you so much.
Thanks for making these videos! I just happened across one of your update videos during Easter and you make it seem so easy to keep up with IF that I decided to try again after having quit two weeks in, a year ago. The main thing I took away from your video was that IF was something that comes with many benefits other than weight loss and that made me feel it was worth trying to stay on it even if I didn’t see the pounds melt away in a few weeks. Two months later I am 14 lbs lighter and feeling amazing!! Thanks 🙏 😊
I just retired this year lots of changes about my well being my son and my daughter in law encouraged me to join the 6 weeks challenge at the gym that they go I'm kind of hesitant since I never worked out due to nit having time there's a lot of excuses finally I joined and it's tge best thing that I made since Jan 30 this I'm a gym member. I'm 63 I weigh 190 when I start now I'm 167 down size on my wardrobe from size 20 to 16 I'm also doing an intermittent fasting for 18 hours I ate at 7 pm sometime 6 pm not snacking through out and I can see continuing results thank you love your channel 💜
I've been doing IF since the beginning of May. The thing that has surprised me is the compulsion to graze, especially after dinner, is gone. Also, I was practically falling asleep in church. My pastor is not boring at all. One time during closing prayer I feel asleep, dreams and all. Now I'm completely alert and eagerly taking notes. I'm doing IF for the rest of my life. I've lost 8 pounds so far. I'm resting in the long game. IF is freedom.
I have been doing IF for the last 5 weeks. First 2 weeks I ate huge meals before starting my fast because I was so scared to be hungry in the evening. Then my body had changed and I stopped eating huge meals. I am not afraid to be hungry anymore and I have lost 8 lb so far!!! I have another 20lb to go to get to my original weight and now I believe I can do it. You totally inspired me to start this weight loss journey
I will never stop IF either. I have never been hungry in the morning and spent years choking down some food while getting ready for work because I thought it was "the most important meal of the day". When I first started IF, I thought it was called "interval eating". I was surprised when you started talking about your IF journey and also validated that it wasn't really a "diet" but a lifestyle. I never have difficulty with the mornings but I often struggle with the evenings, when my husband is foraging in the kitchen for snacks. I know I feel better when I resist but when somebody calls out "want some chips?" at 9:00 o'clock I'm at low ebb. Seeing this, I'm inspired to make a firm after-dinner commitment. I would love to see a part 2 of the well-being benefits. Thanks for all your content. You're a gem. xo karen
I tried if and lost weight on the 5 2. I could not fast every day but on off days i eat 12 to 8 while watching what i eat most days. That being said there are no people who fail. Each diet works for different people. I could never do keto but some people are addicted to it. Some find success with weight watchers others lose weight being vegan. The best diet for you is the one you can maintain throughout your journey. So find the one you can stay on longest without deprivation. The best diet is the one you can stay on.
I had started intermittent fasting around March and was having all of the benefits you spoke about in your video. I had decided to try IF in a large part due to your videos. Thank you for doing them. I had an upheaval in my life recently and I haven’t been following IF for several weeks. Just yesterday I realized that I have been physically feeling very off and realized not following IF is the key. Thank you for your video today! I am following IF again, starting today and I plan to follow it from now on.🌸
I have been IF for a couple of months now. It is great. I found that the craving for a snack was a habit. I am now very intentional about what I do eat and keep it healthy, which means my body is not starving on empty calories. I now tell myself, “The fast has begun... don’t blow it now.” The craving for food in the evening is less and less. The weight is slowly coming off and staying off. Thank you for your information and encouragement.
I started IF only four days ago after rewatching your video about IF after 1 year. Your videos are so encouraging to keep going and make it your lifestyle!!
Hello my dear. I have been w as watching your videoes awhile now but discover you just this year a month or two now and I love your videos and admire you as well. I don't do strick intermittent fasting but I pick out prices from your videos and applied it to my everyday life. And I must say it has had a great impact on my life. So thank you. I especially love your videos on manners and etiquettes. I enjoy seeing you with your family especially with your daughters spending time together. Thank you so much. Ps. I love hearing you laugh it always have a chain reaction with me like yawning.when you laugh I laugh right back. Anyways continue the good work you are doing. Keep safe and have a great week ahead.
Thank you so much for your IT videos. You inspired me to start intermittent fasting 9 weeks go and I have lost 20!!! pounds effortlessly! What a wonderful lifestyle. I truly can believe the results and how much better I feel.
This has been my experience also since I started IF, thanks to you, six months ago. With the addition that it regulated my period, so I suppose it works on hormones too, and not just insulin.
I find IF so easy, I was never hungry in the morning so I just skip breakfast and don’t snack after dinner. But as you said it’s a lifestyle not a diet so if I fancy it - I’m having popcorn late at the cinema or fresh croissant on holiday- I can still enjoy it ❤️
I’ve been doing IF for about 14 months and love it. I do about 18:6, give or take. I had to stop temporarily because of surgery and meds to take with food and I look foward to get back to IF!!! I feel weird eating all the time these days!
Dear Jennifer, thank you for sharing your experience on IF. Really grateful 🙏 I have started two weeks ago - after seeing your RUclips video - and loving it.
I began IF because of your videos because it seemed so simple and doable just like your approach to the 10 item wardrobe. I feel energized and don’t feel hungry at all. I’m also much more intentional with the food I eat, but I dont beat myself up if I eat ice cream or cake if it’s in my window. I also adjust my window if needed. So much freedom. Lastly, my friend is a biologist and her specific research is in aging and she was like eating so much is what ages us.
Hello Jennifer, thank you for that important video. The sharper focus is really something that appeals to me and the one thing that now convinced me to start. All the best. Myriam
I really want to do IF but keep talking myself out of it. Ive the bloating, brain fog etc Jennifer talks about. It's true when I don't eat before bed (very rare) I sleep much better & wake up in a better mood. Going to start loving myself now & be more deserving of the greater things IF has to offer. 💞
It’s funny you should say that you feel like you’re aging backwards. I haven’t watched you for a long while (it wasn’t you, it was me ) saw you today for the first time and said (out loud) “Wow is she aging backwards?!” I’m back and looking forward to binge watching your videos and making up for lost time.
@the Daily Connoisseur This is such a well timed video for me. I discovered IV through your videos last year. I have my summers off and I was able to drop 10 pounds over the summer and followed it well. I tried to keep going with it throughout the school year and did pretty well, but then things got stressful and I got away from it. I am now off again for the summer and having some struggles with the after dinner time. I think this reminder is exactly what i needed to get over the hump/ get back on track. Thank you Thank you!
I'm just starting to research about IF. I think I'd like to try this! I'm at my highest weight now at age 50. I'm very ready for a change and to feel good about myself again.
Your videos are so inspiring, Jennifer. I began IF last year to lose baby weight, and was quite successful. I am going to start again (stress over the last month prompted me back to some unhealthy eating habits.) and really look forward to the process. Thank you--as always!--for such great content. 😊
Hi! I'm new to your channel. I'll slowly try to do IF, I'm in my 20s and I'm a bit overweight. But I'm looking forward to experience also the other benefits
I am 56 and I have listened to all your talks. I love them. I have been doing IF for 2 months now. I feel better but have not lost any weight. I have done 16.8 and 17.7 but don't really want to go as long as 20 hours. Any suggestions please.
Jennifer, I love your videos and findings they are so helpful! I love that you eat things you enjoy while intermittent fasting. I want to try it again, I am feeling inspired, something much appreciated as I find winter (as it is here in Melbourne, Australia) rather bleak and I gravitate to comfort foods at different health values. I like that you eat what you like, as also that is sustainable. A bit of this and a bit of that, a nice balance. So am on the look out of healthy ways to boost not just how I look but how I feel! And watching your videos are uplifting and make me feel like I can work to achieve it! Thanks so much! 😊🙏❤
During lockdown I did intermittent fasting for 3 months and I felt incredible. Sadly, I landed up getting shingles and was quite ill so I put the IF on hold and didn't get back into it which I regret now. One of the things I noticed when I was fasting was that my appetite disappeared. Like literally! It came time to break my fast and I didn't feel like eating and nothing could tempt me. It got to the point where I felt sad that I wasn't enjoying food. In hindsight it was probably that the stress of lockdown and the anxiety and nothing to do with IF. I am doing a lot of inner glow up work around mindset and habits and intend to give IF another go. Thank you for these videos.
I've started with IF in Nov of 2021 and have lost 12kg since! Thank you a thousand times dear J! I am 55 and tried to lose weight for years. Nothing worked. IF is great! Im not on a diet. Not snacking made such a huge impact on my weight and life. Amazing! Oh I need to say, I was pre-diabetic, so I did cut out most of my sugar. I feel so good!🙌🏻💜
I have been intermittent fasting off and on. My 4th baby is finishing her nursing journey so I eat when I feel like I need it but my hardest habit to break is to I l’y have black coffee! I love coffee so much and I love the act of pouring my almond milk and a dash of a sweet nondairy creamer in. But I am gambling with braking my fast. I did find that French press coffee is a bit creamier in taste especially with a flavored coffee so I’m hoping this is the answer! BTW I have all your books! ( some in print and audible and in both!) thank you for all the inspiration!
Thank you for your amazing channel! I love your videos and the grace and wisdom you carry. I also do IF but I was wondering if you notice any differences in your body and ability to do the 16:8 with your cycle? I have been tracking it and notice that the last week of my cycle I am hungrier and it is a little harder to get a full 16 hours. I still stick to it and sometimes if I get 14-15 hours during that week I don’t stress about it :-)
I agree with you Jennifer, you are aging backwards. You have always been lovely, but I see the difference….the combination of everything good that you are doing. I am inspired to do similar…It is funny, I read your 1st book but did not connect it to this channel, until you mentioned the story about your pajamas and Madame Chic’s commentary.😂
I realize this video is 5 months old ;) but can anyone let me know if IF helped their pain from repetitive muscle injuries go away? Jennifer, you mentioned inflammation and I'm hoping IF will help with mine. I help my husband as a mail carrier, and I pulled something in my arm 3 months ago, but it has no time to heal with working mail so often. Especially at Christmas time. I really need something to help me since I can wake up at night because of my arm hurting so badly. Thanks to anyone who has real life experiences! And thanks to you, @thedailyconnoisseur, for your videos on this....they are great and I would also appreciate a part 2. :)
You were always beautiful Jennifer but I do think you look younger and more rested! This was very informative, I'm not needing to lose weight but thinking of trying IF anyway, what do you think?
I came across IF over a year and a half ago. I even purchased a book to read a little bit about it, and have read articles to educate myself. I thought IF would be interesting to try. I had tried Akins several years ago and lost 51 pounds within a year, but I had to deprive myself of certain foods. I never gained all that weight back, because I was always careful. Anyway, I have been a pre-diabetic for over 11 years, and I know that keeping my weight down is very important. Both of my parents (were diabetics), two siblings and a niece are diabetics. Two weeks ago I had a doctor appointment, and my doctor told me that I had lost 10 pounds since my visit to her over a year ago. Anyway, I started IF 2 months ago, and I have lost between 5-6 pounds. What I like about IF is that I am able to enjoy healthy meals, and I don't have to deprive myself of cerrain foods like bread, rice and pasta. Of course, I watch what I eat, but I don't feel guilty about what I eat all the time. I told my doctor what I am doing, and she is okay with it. She did say as I was leaving "don't deprive yourself ". Thank you Jennifer for sharing your journey, because it encourages others. By the way, I am in my 50s, and want to do whatever I can to take care of my body.
Hi Jennifer! I love your content and am a long time follower. I am similarly petite and have also had 4 children. I would like to try IF, but I'm curious if you recall how long it took you to see results in the form of weight loss. I have rewatched some of your old videos, but I didn't see where you had answered this. Thank you!!
I have tried..but how do you manage holidays? Dinners with friends? Invitations past the "allowed hours" ... I need breakfast as I work out with a coach usually at midday. And I have a full time office job. It s not a diet but the timings are not always easy to respect and it puts "rules" around food and when to eat it
I just follow my body's needs, otherwise I eat too much at the last meal as I won't be allowed to eat for 16+ hours ... Just follow your body and hunger cues. If it works for some, that's great :))

"Never stop learning" 💞
I will NEVER quit IF, I feel too good! I feel and look like I am aging backwards.... It's powerful!! As of yesterday, I weigh less than before I had kids, I have been doing it for 3 years!!
I'm so happy to hear of your great results!
Same here 🤍 , love IF
I'm still in the baby-growing and breastfeeding part of my life, so I'm not in the IF part of my life.
How long did it take you to start losing weight?
I have the same feeling Im 40 and I feel like I would be 20 years old 😂😂😂😂
Love your books and videos.
Wow, I am 66 and while I am normal weight, I am on medications. Good for you and your husband!
Wonderful! I'm all about the 5pm dinners too. ✨✨
💞
Today is my 44th birthday and I’ve just begun IF about 2 weeks ago. Migraines, jaw pain, and fatigue have gripped me since my c-section last year, leading to depression. I’ve already lost 8 pounds and I’m having less pain. You’ve been so inspiring and motivating. Thanks for all your great advice. God bless!
Happy birthday! 🎉 How amazing!
8 lbs in 2 weeks?! Are u doing 16:8 and how often do u work out?
@@midlifemom5829 yes. I’m also diving into OMAD. I’m working out daily, HIIT or running.
Wow! I'm so happy for you!
This is so encouraging. I’m 58 and am struggling to find the balance between eating well and exercise and fasting. Thank you for your response.
@@TheDailyConnoisseur I also give you 100% credit, Jennifer. At 65, I've experienced all of the points you mentioned, but would have missed it all if you hadn't made it seem so do-able. I think you are helping more people than you know. Many blessings to you! 🌿
Wow this is amazing. 36 lb since December!! This is incredible.
Amazing! I'm so happy for you!
I would love a part 2 on this. As many videos as you want to make on this topic because they are inspiring and helpful to me.
Go easy on yourself when you have little kids... IF will always be there
It’s beautiful how much freedom Discipline actually brings to our life!
I'm so happy to hear this, Jane!
I love it! Sometimes I prefer eating at 4pm too!
Have you lost weight?
Ditto!! Exactly the same for me ... I don't have to think about food after 5:00 ish -- a huge burden has been lifted :)
I've been doing IF for about 4 years and have had all the same benefits you mention and more! I love it and love your videos Jennifer. Thank you!
Your videos in general have become my favorite. I barely watch anything else.
Thank you so much! ♥️
Did you walk before or after fasting?
Thank you so much, Robin! love you!
I love all the IF content. I have started and stopped so many times-I am going to commit to doing this for the summer so I can actually see some results that I am hoping will lead to a lifetime of IF.
💞
Nice to hear from someone else in my age range that is benefiting and feeling better on IF. It’s helping me too.
When you eat dinner at 5:30, is that when you start your 16hr fasting or is it when you finish eating around 6:00, thank you
@@yolitawallace3488 I believe it’s when you’re done eating.
Interesting!
These visuals are helpful! I picture something similar! 😅
Please share, it sounds interesting lol!
Like the Doozers on Fragle Rock. Gotta be an 80s kid to get that reference. 😁
I did IF in the past and saw results but stopped due to a lifestyle change. I am back at it again! And so excited to continue again!
Wonderful, Jordan!
I started IF 16:8 just 3 weeks ago bc of you and I lost 4 lbs. Thank you so much for sharing!
Wonderful!
I got rid of the bloating in my belly in the first week. Thank you for your videos on intermittent fasting.
Thank you! ♥️
That’s true she looks very young.
How amazing! ✨
I'm so happy for you!
I started if in March and have lost 12 lbs. I can feel my body change and clothes are loose fitting. So exciting!! Will continue
Thanks for sharing your IF journey. I noticed that my frequent heartburn stopped when I started IF. And I definitely lost some weight.
PS...I'm 55
This has been my experience also since I started IF, thanks to you, six months ago. With the addition that it regulated my period, so I suppose it works on hormones too, and not just insulin.
Such a motivating video! Please do a part 2 of this video .
Love David Sinclair. Glad you discovered him, I think of you when I watch him
Excellent video!!
So many benefits to Intermittent fasting. Amazing. Awareness is the start. Thank you.
I find IF so easy, I was never hungry in the morning so I just skip breakfast and don’t snack after dinner. But as you said it’s a lifestyle not a diet so if I fancy it - I’m having popcorn late at the cinema or fresh croissant on holiday- I can still enjoy it ❤️
That's right! And there's no guilt...
Really grateful 🙏
I have started two weeks ago - after seeing your RUclips video - and loving it.
That's wonderful!
Myriam
Thank you for watching, Myriam!
Love your videos! I always learn something new :)
Thank you for watching!
Thank you! And I'm glad you're back ✨
Thanks for sharing! Have a great summer!
Thank you, Donna! You too ♥️
Love your content and I just started the 16/8 back up again and this time I know what I'm doing and the benefits are kicking in...
Dr Sachin Panda is another great circadian rhythm researcher that speaks about IF
I have been doing INTERMITTENT FASTING, ENEMAS AND YOGA for detoxing, fitness, health, wellness, weight loss and weight management.
IF is life changing! I’ve experienced all of the benefits you mentioned 😊
I hope you’re feeling better now!
@@TheDailyConnoisseur yes thank you, hence rethinking starting IF.
You absolutely look younger this year than you did when I first started watching you!
Love watching you on this journey! Thanks for sharing! You look amazing and to feel amazing is even better! I need to try to do IF again!
Thank you, Rachel!
I feel so good!🙌🏻💜
I'm so happy for you! Yes!
😍❤
I think fasting intiates autophagy and that's a great thing. I am back on 16/8 and low carb because OMAD stalled my weight.
I love your Intermittent Fasting videos! Thank you for sharing!
Excellent information. Thank you.
your skin is gorgeous! not many 40 somethings have a few wrinkles beginning, which you don't! lovely!
So inspiring. This will help keep me on the straight and narrow. Thank you.
I love your content so much! I also love your books! You look stunning and radiant in this video, as per usual, keep it up! I love IF as well :)
Hi Jennifer, congratulations on your incredible results!! Do you have a video on what you typically eat for breakfast?
Ah, thank you! Yes, the pajamas! 😂
Thank you for sharing.. can u please make a video about how you incorporate your supplements to your IF routine?
I love your videos. I am now doing IF and believe it works.
So good! Part 2 please! Thank you 😊
Hi Jennifer! I love your content and am a long time follower. I am similarly petite and have also had 4 children. I would like to try IF, but I'm curious if you recall how long it took you to see results in the form of weight loss. I have rewatched some of your old videos, but I didn't see where you had answered this. Thank you!!
I love your videos...thank u x
Loved this! Thank you🌸
I have tried..but how do you manage holidays? Dinners with friends? Invitations past the "allowed hours" ... I need breakfast as I work out with a coach usually at midday. And I have a full time office job. It s not a diet but the timings are not always easy to respect and it puts "rules" around food and when to eat it
Just change your fasting hours or have the meal out and fast longer the next day. I have my breakfast as my lunch and my eating window is 12 till 8
I just follow my body's needs, otherwise I eat too much at the last meal as I won't be allowed to eat for 16+ hours ... Just follow your body and hunger cues. If it works for some, that's great :))
