Watching any of your videos gives me the feeling that there is someone who cares about what I am doing. You do not know me but you are the one who is able to motivate me to do whatever needs to be done. And if there are only ten minutes I declutter my horrible basement I hear your voice ‚it doesn‘t need to be perfect.‘ And so I do what I can do and then leave this place until the next day. I have never been this successful in my life doing the housekeeping. Great thanks for your videos. Hugs from Germany!!!

I love how the Flylady system makes breaks essential, so I don't get burnt out! Yesterday I gathered up my bag of nail tools and polish and painted my toes while I watched my favorite show Star Trek Voyager.

Diane, I adore you and your geeky ways! You are a woman after my own heart regarding the gaming. I'm not so much one for co-op stuff, but yeah... Give me some Fallout or Skyrim and I'm a happy lady. I also love to sit in our summerhouse in the afternoon and do a bit of reading or just sit and watch the birds. Your analogy about the pressure cooker is so spot on and this was very starkly brought to my attention when my high-functioning autistic 16 year old son had a melt down. He bluntly told me how incredibly stressful it was for him being around me because the smallest things would set me off. I felt so guilty and sad that I made him and the rest of my family feel that way! This is where the FlyLady system has made such a huge change in my home. I was so overwhelmed by my perfectionism that I would bury my head in the sand and not do anything at all and would justify it to myself as saying that I was doing 'self care' (ha!) and then punish my family because of my frustration at the state of our home. I'm still in the baby step stage, but the routines and using my timer and getting things done has already made such a huge impact on me! When I do my routines, a daily mission and 15 minutes of decluttering I then feel entitled to take a break and to have some fun! I am so much more relaxed and the guilt is gone! The atmosphere in my home is so much happier and I feel so proud of what I can accomplish in a day in just a few minutes at a time! Thank you so much for sharing your time and your life with us and encouraging us!

Thanks for the weeks refresher course. Everyone is back at school or work so the house has settled down after the summer break. If I need a little quiet moment I put my timer on for 10 minutes lie very still and try to empty my head of any thoughts, take lovely deep breaths every now and again. As soon as the timer goes off I go about stuff again feeling a little refreshed. I am retired so the house is usually quiet and I am able to do this.

I have started practicing watercolor painting for my self care. It has brought much joy! And sometimes layers of color need to dry, so it’s so easy to do a little and walk away until the next chance to pop in again! Perfect for brief refreshing moments. Thanks Diane for cheering us on!

Its a bit bonkers but sometimes I crave the music of my youth so to combat a low energy afternoon I will find the party mix on the tv and I can dance and reminisce (80’s hairstyles) and get moving long enough to shake out the blahs! If my kids are around sometimes they join in and it’s smiles all round.. Silly free calorie burning and fun.

If only I knew how to post a picture on Instagram. No matter thanks for the great idea, who would have thought anyone could be so excited about doing dishes & a tidy clean sink

Self care has been a struggle for me too, but I am slowly seeing that it is necessary. If we can't love ourselves enough to have some pamper time, even if for 5-15 minutes, we cannot fully love our families as they deserve :) On that note, I am trading in some nail varnish for a DYT2 shade today and telling myself it is okay to think of me sometimes

Thank you Diane for the refresher courses , you help me so much. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Two things I am taking away from these videos is the using the timer and implementing the Daily Focus and I will let you know how that works out for me. I struggle with the menu planning and paying the bills on time. I would love it if you could do a refresher course on the GTD system. Meanwhile I will revamp my WHB to fit into 70 minutes and I think I added too much stuff to my Routines. Pampering...I do that very well. LOL. I just need a timer to put a STOP to it! LOL. My accomplishments so far has been to SOS and LOL. That feels really good. I use to keep medicines and napkins and silverware caddy and seasonings on my kitchen table; where we eat our meals. I moved everything to the counters and along with SOS numerous times per day I also wipe down that table and whenever I pass the clear clean sink and table I feel terrific. Thanks to the Flylady system and the girl who took my hand and showed me how to use it. Thank you Diane. I couldn't of done it without your help.

I love watching your videos at work, although the most annoying thing is I can get really inspired, but not be able to do anything about it! I tried Flylady a good 10 years ago as a SAHM, but it never worked (I'm not a routines person: timetables leave me cold) However, ever since this January I have been determined to get my house in a fit and tidy state. I do my Weekly Homeblessing Hour on a Saturday, because that's when my parents come for a meal, and have done for a while. Last week, I realised that the Living room and Dining room was done much quicker because I've actually decluttered and clean little and often, so I had time to do something else. I really think I can use the basics of Flylady and change them to suit my needs and this time my house will stay clean and tidy.

Just thirty minutes of quiet without hearing "Mom! Mom! Hey Moooom!!" is blissful and recharges my batteries. I have a question about your laundry- how long does it take your sheets and towels to air dry?? Also, do you celebrate Oktoberfest in Denmark? Or Halloween? I'm going to our next Clothes Swap this week...can't wait! (I have a lot of decluttered things which are not my type...I mention it in my last DYT update video ruclips.net/video/Xr5cHyKgyZY/видео.html )
