beautiful! thank you so much for this lovely and very helpful guide, jack. you inspired me to go and hike the west highland way next may! the scenery just looks so beautiful! :)
Really enjoyed this video Jack, it was well put together and gave a good perspective for those looking to walk the WHW be it beginner or experienced walker.
You gave me so much hope ❤ My husband and I want to start trecking and we decided to start with the Highlands. Your video was so informative and well explained. You make it seems so easy and it makes me dream to go even more ❤❤
Nice guide Jack. So what would you recommend to someone who has a fair bit of experience with multiday hikes and elevation, but has never been to Scotland? I don't mind a village/bar/store occasionally, but would love some wild and remote nature as well. Thinking of doing the Skye trail next year.
Hi Lennart, thanks for the comment. If you have the time go the Cape Wrath Trail for sure - from what I’ve heard it’s amazing. If not the Skye trail is great for 5-6 days and you also get to pass through a few small villages as well. I probably preferred the Skye trail over the WHW because it is less crowded, it felt more wild/remote, and the scenery felt a lot more unique
@@jackbrookes Unfortunately not. I discovered your channel planning for GR131 in Gran Canaria, really useful and inspiring vids Jack btw. Decided to do North-South route after watching you deal with water shortage (Ayagaures). Gear recap also a plus. Excellent content and video quality. Hope you keep sharing your experiences, I´ll stay tunned!
@@misi_fuz nice one! Loved Gran Canaria, glad you were able to adjust your itinerary to make it work better. Thanks so much for the comment and nice words! Hopefully have some more stuff coming 👌

What's the total cost for this trail?
Food transport and accom I would of spent £300-450ish
Great job, Jack 🙂
Thanks as always Petr
