Great review. I've had the k400+ as my main keyboard for (it seems like) 8-10 years now. It still works great but I'm thinking about replacing it because the touch-pad has been used so much that it's now shiny and gripping my touch making it difficult to use at times.
The battery life is amazing. I can't remember how often i change it and it use it many hours everyday. If I was to guess, I'd say I change the 2AA batteries about once a year.
Based on your video, I think I'd be happy with the k400 but I'm gonna go with another k400+.

Thank you! I just gave my K400 away thinking I'd get a new K830. Can't understand why Logitech would keep it on their site when it's apparently discontinued? On sale no less. So I bought a 400 Plus and it just feels cheaper to me that the K400. Appreciate your comparison very much. I just ordered a new K400 from Ebay tho.

I have the K400r which is the intermediate model between K400 and K400+ and I think it's the best version of this keyboard for the many media keys and other shortcuts and the proper size arrows keys it has - I've just upgraded to the more professional K360 for the full numerical keypad and the Caps Lock indicator but I still use the K400r for work - great presentation!

if you look at 10:00 the model has a label that reads K400, mine shows K400r at the back - actually I didn't know myself that a previous generation of this keyboard existed before this presentation

The one thing that isnt emphasized enough is the battery life of the k400plus. I have had it for VR/living room PC. And after 5 years it still has the original batteries.

pretty sure the first keyboard came out around 2011, I remember getting one because I liked the idea of something like that. I don't think the originals were worth the price they started off at though.

@@TKsTechCorner I just checked out the k810 and did like it but it's unfortunate that it's not available ,and When it comes to the k380 I like the way it looks ,but as you said it might not be the best option to use as a main keyboard (cuz of the rounded keys), so I'll probably wait a bit for the Keys mini to be more available and squeeze my wallet to get it since it's probably the nicest typing experience among the them (with the addition of the rechargeable battery which I appreciate),or I'll just get the 380 if that wasn't possible ,Again thank you so much for the information, I really appreciate taking time to reply to me ❤️

I've had my k400 for 5 years now and nearly all the keys are rubbed off.. and I had to screw the battery cover on with little screws to keep it from falling off all the time. Yours doesn't even look used. lol

I'm incredulous you didn't even bother to mention the biggest problem with the Plus keyboard. That IS that fact the F-keys are essentially disabled, by default. As priority is given to the media keys.
I've only just bought this, as in New Zealand, there are zero alternatives, to it, for a wireless keyboard, with trackpad integration. I bought it to replace the K400, but was unaware of this problem.
What a bunch of tossers, Logitech are. Not everyone wants to be forced to install their bloatware, just to get it operating, as a proper keyboard should.

My old k400 has outlasted 3 k400+ models. The new ones don't last very long. I use it as an htpc keyboard. Neither are as good as the k830, or the corsair k83. Not even close.

The k830 and corsair k83 are also way more expensive. Very different price range.

THANK YOU!!! I've been seeing too many reviews of how great the 400+ is, and it's unreliable garbage, after maybe 4-6 months. I think it's because everyone reviews them within a week of usage, not after when things go wrong.

My Logitech K400 Plus Stinks + it's garbage + it's junk = Absolutely none of the K400 Plus features work and should be similar to a Logitech K400. Don't buy a Logitech K400 Plus, I've have had this K400 Plus several years before the outbreak of Covid 19, using this keyboard has been awkward because I must always attach a mouse and set it on a desk with a mouse to use it properly. Don't buy a Logitech K400 Plus
I'm using it right now and need a separate mouse because the K400 Plus doesn't allow me to use it's combination mouse and keyboard features as its cousin a Logitech K400
Writing this excerpt took a lifetime because the Logitech K400 Plus I own doesn't have a combination keyboard/mouse function found on all Laptops and it Cousin a Logitech K400. I don't care if anyone praises any K400 Plus model, I only know I have wasted my money on this model. And how do I know that! Because I have 4, "Logitech K400's", their cheaper and 100% reliable and have been for at least 7 years.
