Just so you know, the wall mount bracket for the remote holds the remote with a strong magnet, so you don't need to install the C-shaped arm piece. That piece is only needed to mount the remote to the wall in an "anti-theft" fashion with a screw on the bottom. The instructions were very vague and practically non-existent about this. Without that anti-theft piece, it's much easier to pull the remote from the wall. And it looks a lot nicer too!
You did a nice job explaining how easy it is to install a toilet seat bidet. I have a different brand but have become a toilet seat snob. Sitting down on a cold toilet seat is a shock to the system now.
I have the Toto K300 which is the newer middle “child” of them all. It has a remote and all the essential + most luxury features but half the price. I want to get the 550E for the extra luxury (automatic open/close lid, night light, Disinfectant light, etc) but I can’t complain about the K300. Great review! Thank you
The rubber bumper came with the seat. If you need one, I think any local hardware store would have them. They are just like the ones used in kitchen cabinets to quiet the doors closing.
It would be nice if shown how you measure to make sure that the seat will fit the toilet. That is my concern because these seats are so big. Thank you for the video.
We understand it is the latest greatest. Of course you know tech, never know when the next big thing drops. I can tell you this about it, it does everything you'd need, well built and easy to install. If you'd really like to up the game they actually make a whole toilet with all this tech built in, though it will set you back a bit more and you'll need a plumber to install:) Let us know what you end up getting and what you think of it. We love ours.
Hi there, could you please tell me if it worms up the sit automatically by motion detection or you have to turn it on and wait till it worms up? Thank you in advance
Great video, very well done. I do have a question that you may be able to help me with. On my Toto, is there a way to keep the bowl light on that come on when the lid opens? On my Toto the bowl light comes on when the lid opens but goes off after about 5 sec. Would like for it to stay on and light the target area for me., If you know what I mean. Thanks RD
For me, it depends on how long you are willing to stay on the toilet waiting for to get dry. If you’re not willing to wait (it will take some minutes), you can get away with using one or two squares of toilet paper 🧻. I have the thicker kind Cottonelle brand so that’s how much I can get away with.

thanks for the tip. In our case we just leave it on the wall so it hasn't been an issue.

Yes, warm seats are the best for sure!

thank you, appreciated. Good to hear the K300 works well. Did it install the same as the S550E?
Thank you so much. Your review was very detail!
Glad it was helpful!
Great video. Thank you for sharing.
Very thorough video. Could you please tell me if the rubber bumper came with the seat or you got it from somewhere else?

Toto have a measurement template on their website so you can check. That said basically it’s two types. Elongated and round.
How do you refill the fragrance/ mist? Can you custom the scent?
There is no scent, it’s using water for the pre-mist. No need to refill.
Cool ! Is this bidet pretty much the latest and greatest from TOTO?

Does this have heated water
it heats the water on demand. no reservoir needed.
@@Appmyhome thank you
Great video . Thank you
You are most welcome.
How do you know if this s550e will work on existing toilet
see this chart from Toto to determine if you fit. www.totousa.com/filemanager_uploads/PPW%20Articles/2017-washlet-fit-chart.pdf

it warms the seat based on usage patterns. it always seems warm when we use it.
For those of you that own the toto bidet, what toilet do you have it on?
key to fitting is to download their size guide. in our case we have an elongated model.

We haven’t found a way to do that. Would be a nice feature though.
@@Appmyhome Thanks for the reply. I was thinking I was missing something in the setup.
DO you have to still use toilet paper
just a little bit:)

If you want to go TP free you can buy specific towels to pat your privates dry.
