  • The deer hunting season is over here in Massachusetts. so I figured I would do a review on the Ameristep tent chair blind. I used it all season managed to harvest three deer two of which where shot with my crossbow out of the ameristep chair blind. I love it easy set up and take down even in the dark. Weighs about eleven pounds not bad at all easy to transport in and out of the woods. overall I am pleased with the Ameristep hunting tent chair ground blind. It suits my needs. But for next season I think I will make the investment and purchase the ameristep deluxe tent chair its just a bit wider and will enable me to get those shots off to my week side with my crossbow. I hope you enjoy my review on the Ameristep hunting chair blind ,Please sub the channel too

Not sure if you bought the deluxe model yet but it is in fact 2 chairs, sorta. It opens up and appears to be one giant chair but the middle support leg does not allow you to sit in the middle of the chair, you have to sit on one side or the other. You can straddle the middle support bar but its not very comfortable. I personally have gone back and forth from the deluxe to the single man and back again and to be honest I now just hunt from a small pop up. Its less cumbersome, gives me more options to shoot out of all the windows with any firearm. Just my opinion as a 50 year old hunter that has been hunting out of blinds since they where invented.

Yes, I have bought the deluxe model and we’re the same age I’m 48 I found the same problems with it. I’m gonna do a review I put my fat ass in the middle, and I broke all those seams, making it a little, more comfortable just as one continuous chair even though I had more room, it was strangely more uncomfortable than the single, as you said, in the mechanism that brings it forward kind of lost its tension after a few times in the blind just wants to pull forward all the time so now I have to stick it down in the back to make it work properly It’s strange they improve upon a design and actually make it worse.

Nice review. I too hunt with a crossbow from a larger blind, and with all the camera gear for my channel, it too can be tight. Did you have any issues with your crossbow limbs hitting the inside of the blind? Also, did you have room for a tripod, either a BOG POD or a crossbow stand setup?

My crossbow is unique it call ed ravin R18. Its tiny. Yes theres room for sticks but not a tripod i just bought the larger deluxe version much more room just as easy set up and break down it might be a winner

How is it moving a shotgun inside?

Really tight moving from each window plenty of room to shoulder and aim if you’re just pointing out the front one
