I used the two chair version this past season, worked the same as the single plus you can put your pack or whatever in the seat beside ya to keep it off the ground and dry. Plus ya don’t have to dig around looking for your stuff. If ya have a small or young kid you can keep them right there with ya, plus hide their constant movement lol
I have TWO Ameristep "Outhouse" blinds and love them. But I didn't know anything about this tent-chair model. Thanks to your EXCELLENT demo-I'm very impressed and will probably add one of the tent chairs to my arsenal of hunting gear. One comment: The legs of the included chair appear to be of the "pedestal" type. That's fine on completely dry, hard ground, but experience has repeatedly shown me that these chairs sink like a stone in wet, soft ground-where I often hunt deer or turkeys. That's why I own and use folding "director's chairs" for my hunting. The bars between the back and front legs prevent these seats from sinking into muck and, therefore, keep them level. Maybe a couple of PVC bars clipped onto the legs of the Ameristep chair after it's set up would do the trick? Good luck this deer season, Chris (in Maine)
I have the double seat version and have turkey hunted in it with 2 adults. A little cramped but works..taken 2 turkey sitting in it in 2 years. Going to try it for deer season this year when it rains.
it would probably be alright for pistol/revolver hunting but how you going to maneuver a rifle or shotgun around or move and shake the thing giving you ayay? papa
I use it all the time have shot deer and turkey u have to put the blind in a brush pile or hide it very well also u have to put a cover over the front so deer can't see u does not work if u can't hide it
I’m buying a couple of these for next deer season. I think they’d be great for public land whitetail hunting for sure. Easy in, easy out, built in chair. What’s not to love.
I love them. I have the single chair like you’re using there but now I put it in the other way. It goes in easier and quicker if you put the feet up towards the top, and I also have the two men chair blind, give you a little more room in the two major blind I like to use with the crossbow season on public land.
Thanks for the review. I saw these at Dunham’s Sports but only in the boxes, none actually opened up, to get a real feel for it. I think if I were hunting public land, I would put a few blaze orange flagging tapes or something like that on it just for safety’s sake. The chair blind is an interesting concept and Ameristep seems to have done a good job with the execution of it. 🦌. 🦃
One thing that they forgot to mention is the metal tube locks that hold the top up and tight. Had trouble figuring out why it would sage on the top. It is a blind but I'm finding folding it back up to fit into the carrying case takes work
I been using one of these for the past couple years and have had no success hunting deer or turkey. The chair moves if you do thus alerting everything around you.
A really cheap and light way to break it up a bit is camo net. I have like a 3x3 metre piece of net I got for $20 bucks on Amazon. I cut slit from the middle to one edge. I plonk the chair blind down, open the big window at the front and drape it over the back then front, oriented so the slit lies down the middle of the front. This allows me to brush it aside from the port hole to take a shot. This makes this little set-up blend in like crazy. I've had Sambar deer, which are notoriously wary animals, walk right past me when set like this.
I think the company should rethink the black color bag especially if you are turkey hunting for safety reasons, just a food for thought! Thanks for showing us the step video!!
Yep, And, ... they should be aware that, the outside shell of the tent/blind is reflective of sunlight.. to a Deer would look like a huge ball of shine 😁
I used this blind for deer hunting this season ruclips.net/user/postUgkxvlQxmcZQzSQSYbJsEgAGvG2DaduKTV99 and will use it again for turkey this coming April 19'. The only common sense thing I recommend is wear all black to cover your upper body considering the inside of the blind is black and dont open unnecessary windows to silhouette yourself. Other then that, spray some water proof spray on the seams and roof. Dont forget your comfy chair, happy hunting.
Great Job, Your a natural at this. If I want a real guy giving me a real UN BIAS opinion on a stand or blind I have learned this is the channel to go to.
I know this is an older video, but I just found it. If there is enough room in that chair blind for a tripod with my gun cradle and room to hang a thermacel, I may have to try one this upcoming deer season.
Yes. I almost exclusively use this now I'm older. Make a hanger for your bow to stick in the ground OUTSIDE the blind. Sneek just your arm out. Works great.
Had back surgery about 8 years ago, bought one of these cause I couldn't climb a tree. Use this blind just to sit in the chair, didn't even bring the tent part over. had a big buck coming from my right behind me so I waited for him to pass behind me then pivot to my left to shot and the leg of the chair broke and sent me to the ground where I looked up to watch that deer running away from me 🦌🥵🥵
I have 40 inch long crossbow 18 inches axle to axle , and the 1 man is 45 front to back so could I pull off crossbow shooting out of this blind or would I be better off with a regular blind cause I was thinking about the deluxe 2 man which has more room but u can’t comfortably straddle the middle and look out the front window and if u sit in chair off to side of viewing window seems like it would be troublesome ?
Ok, it gets cold as hell here during deer season, so is there room to safely use a little buddy heater inside without setting the blind or myself ablaze? Or is the double chair a better option?
@CliftonDenneyOnYourOwnOutdoors i have several pop up blinds of different sizes for different situations and have toyed with the idea of one of these for a while and this video helped make the decision to pull the trigger. No pun intended.
I Have killed more deer from these chairs than I count. Rifle and Muzzle loader. I keep a shooting stick in the bag sit in the chair prop the rifle up on the stick, and wait. I like the fact that I can set in different locations ( run and gun). Really good setup.
I'm sitting in one right now very versatile this one is on a stack of straw bales, I have another that I took the seat off and use the canapoy over my 12' tripod swivel stand. See them on my channel.
Nope. Too much. A folding lawn chair and just being still work just fine. The trick to sitting and waiting is learning to endure discomfort. A deer can pop out of nowhere, like smoke. The right mind set is critical.
Told on yourself. At the beginning of the video, you said you hadn't opened it or taken it out of the box. But you appeared to be pretty familiar with it during the demonstration. Then later in the video, you admitted that you had "...played around with it earlier..." No credibility.

I havnt tried the two man yet! Thanks for the heads up I’m going to have to check one out!
Used mine for 5 or 6yrs if you end up with a rain shower it's really nice to be able to stay dry
You could easily be a salesman for those chairs really good job of explaining and showing how they work and their potential , thanks
Haha thank you I just review!

So no shooting rail?
My task is photography. Is there leg room enough for a Tripod,

What about the Indian trail marker tree behind you? I think they are brilliantly interesting. The chair is nice also especially for turkey.
I’m also a pretty big fan of that tree hahaha
Those style chairs . I hunt many hours out of . I do like the blind . Key to hunting is be comfterbale , concealed , stay all day .
I'm looking at the bent trail marker tree in the background. Native Americans did that to find their way.
That tree isn't over 50 years old !
Sasquatch may have bent it; but definitely N0 indian !

I use it for late deer season i can easily carry it far back in the woods and can also fit a heater in it and it holds heat pretty good
Great Job, Your a natural at this.

Thank you for your support!
That was our goal!
Add a lil buddy heater and hunt rain snow and cold.
Does it work for bow hunting is there plenty room to draw your bow
@@TerrellJones-k4j I’d get the double seat

No sir there’s not enough room in them for a tripod
I use a camp chair and camo netting to get the same effect.
Would it be possible to bow hunt out of it???
With a crossbow yes… but it’d take a short axel to axel and a lot of practice for a compound
Yes. I almost exclusively use this now I'm older. Make a hanger for your bow to stick in the ground OUTSIDE the blind. Sneek just your arm out. Works great.
please review the LOW DOWN hammock chair

O.K. and how much do you weigh? Did you exceed the weight limit of the chair? Not trying to be a smart a** but that's the first thought I had....

What’s the price on that puppy
It’s in that link below it’ll take you straight to their website but give me a minute when I get stopped I will look it up
99.99-105.00 on Mack’s Prairie wings website or in the store
How much is the cost?

No room for a heater. I have one and there’s no enough room to safely use a heater
How loud is the chair itself?
Wow, this is cool for hunting alone!
What is the cost
Thanks for sharing. Trying to find out the weight limitation (300+ pounds)?
I’ll have to look it up I do not recall
Thanks. Very interested in purchasing one but don't seem to able to find out the limit.
Why haven't I seen these before. I need one! Nice video
Thank you! I’m a pretty big fan of them myself!
Those side windows would be handy for pistol hunting👍
WILL CROSSBOW HUNTING BE POSSIBLE OUT OF IT ?
I like mine but I only use it on rainy days because it's so awkward to maneuver a gun around in it.. especially when u got a gobbler in front of u.
Only problem I see is direct shot radius. Might work for turkey, but for deer it really limits your shot.
I have one, only problem is the seat is too low,Imho.
I had one of these once I sold it for 50 bucks and went and bought a ghost blind instead
The whole thing jiggles when you make any movement. Just gotta be real slow! Thanks for the overview!
Seems like a good idea but not big enough I feel having a 12g in there could be dangerous with limited room
I wish they were more water proof 5:05
Are the straps adjustable? He's in a t-shirt and straps are tight.
Yes theyer adjustable
Great idea
We have killed two Tom’s out of it this season!! Great blind
And I also filmed my hunt out of it. I have had Turkeys this season 8 yards from me!
Thank is outstanding! Congrats
You didn’t show us what it’s like to maneuver a firearm from within? 😢

Awesome man!! Thanks!
No problem!
Would be fantastic for alternate method season with a handgun.
I could absolutely see that being a game changer there!
The material is shinny
Have one, like it!
Right on!
Good video dude
Thank you. And thank you for watching
Nice!
try shooting a bow out of it, not worthless, but very hard to move, probably only out the front.
Killed some nice bucks out of mine over the last 3 years
Have to echo the other guys, good job.
Looks like it would be hard to manuver your gun into position to shoot. No way to use bowhunting.
Too narrow for me. Doesn’t look like you’ll be laying your rifle in your lap in that blind.
Have one...fairly useless, no bowshooting, can really only shoot out of the front. Better than nothing if its cold/windy.
I like it really cool
KENNY from SOUTH PARK goes hunting
I don't trust any folding chair in soft dirt.
Chair, gun, backpack? BAD SALESMAN
I hope you weren’t talking about me because you’d be 1000%, correct I am not a salesman.

If you a big guy like me its tight. Doable but tight
Siting in mine lol
Easy peasy Japanese
way to much movement going on. Any movement in the chair and the whole thing shakes.
Better off just sitting still honestly.
I have two Ameristep versions. Killed a big gobbler out of one
