    He has done BE (Civil) & MS (Chem) From BITS, Pilani.
    During which he did 3 internships in good companies.
    Then he worked for total 2 years in 2 companies.
    Then he cracked CAT.
    So, I don't think his Below 6 CGPA would've mattered anywhere for his "2nd Masters", that too after 2 years of Work-Ex.

    I am opposite of this guy ( not in literal sense , for me it's an upward trend in marks) . 10th - 65 , 12th - 72(state board) , grad - 78. Glad you brought people like us . Nowadays getting below 90 or even 80 is considered a sin in society . iims should also stop judging students on the basis of marks they got when they were like 15 or 16 yrs old.
    Itni kam umar mba ka kaun sochta hain atlough i agree student with consistent acadmic record should be rewarded but sometimes bschools take it to an extreme level.

      @gg-dl6oy 2 года назад +11

      they do this to mirror the criterias of top consulting firms like mbb and i banks. They only hire candidates with throughout good acads and other achievements as well . And they being main recruiters of top iims if they start admitting people with low acads lot of these firms will stop hiring from IIM abc and their legacy will bd ruined. that's why only abc has this criteria we all need to understand. you won't see this criteria in other top b school because these firms and i banks don't hire from these colleges and even if they do the will hire atmost 4-5 from non iim abc colleges.

    • @maheshfunde6950
      @maheshfunde6950 2 года назад +12

      @@gg-dl6oy thanks for you comments and i do agree to it . Many big MNCs do prefer people with high acads and people with iit /nit/DU/bits etc tag . But many companies on campus just want 60% that's it . Even if all students in iimabc have 90+ in acadmics still all of them won't get into Bain , McKenzie ,jp morgan , BCG etc because of limited vacancies. My personal opinion is low acads shouldn't deter you from pursuing a mba or any higher education , maybe you won't get a high package job but you can always switch after few years working for low package and after 2-3 years acads don't matter that much .

      @@AbhishekKumar-yu7oy Your grads score is good so your acads are showing upward curve . Now being completely honest with you , you have no chance of making into old iims unless you belong yo reserved categories. You can always work hard for CAT there are so many colleges like FMS , MDI that wont care about your past and more importantly will have low fee structure! You'll have a chance of getting very good placement in sales & marketing if you do well in your MBA , you need to have decent grades in MBA please realise that. if you want to make even bigger leap in your career and want to go for i banks or consulting firms you need yo be atleast in top 5 in your college with tons of extra curricular activities . Passed out this year from high school, scored VERY LOW in my 12th and now I have to see consequences for scoring less in the 12th, like getting admission even in my local college for BBA seems difficult. I'm stuck at a stage of life where I'm not sure what do I want to do, I don't like myself. Can't even ask my parents to pay for me to send me to a good city for UG because they aren't financially that strong. Tried working somewhere full time too! I got into IIM-B last year 2022. It's been a mind-boggling journey full of ups and down. Although I was pretty stubborn about self-study approach only, but at a certain point I realized the need of having a properly-curated study material. So, for that purpose I joined a coaching near my residence in Pune. But as I started with the classes, everything apparently turned out to be an eye-opener to me. I came to know that I had been approaching the concepts in a wrong way. The classes became something that I couldn't afford to miss out on at that point. Their faculty base was from the IIMs and everything was just right for a serious MBA aspirant. So, all Thanks to **ExpertsEdge** ❤ (PS: If you are in Pune, do attend their free demo class; the institution truly works out wonders).

FMS is for Girls and for those males with more than 98%. We are not raising the voice against this injustice and still females wants more.

      because women have to go through alot? many women are not allowed to study after an age they have to fight hard? clg jaate samay 10 ladke chedte hai? kuch ke ghar hota hai are aage itna padhke kya karogi bache hi toh paalne hai, many girls even help in family household chores alot. I had a friend in 12th she was great in studies but got married at the age of 18, she wanted to be a CA, another female barely got time to study, as her mother used to be sick she had to take care of the whole family and was almost like a parent to her other 3 siblings. Men do have problems but society makes it worse for women in the terms of success.

    • @Theleojohn

      @@unnatichaudhary731 i accept there are womens who badly needs such encouragement. But what about those % of womens who have everything? Parent’s support, House maids, For them there parents say, Beeti kuch math socho tum sirf padhai pe dhyan do. She nails it in Schools, Bachelors and Masters with top class. No chores to do, Have freedom. Does the same applies for them? They are getting everything in there lap. No hard works at all. They are the one snatching the opportunities.
      You where talking about womens, Now let’s talk about men’s struggle. If we see this percentage of women’s sufferings then at the same time there are men’s too who are suffering.
      Many lost there parents, Have to take care of his Younger siblings by working.
      Family is poor, Go to job work 9hrs and then study. No one to share sorrows, Cries in darkness so no one else is affected. Taking care of dowry asked by the illiterate society for marriage of his sister. Sacrificing His dream college because of lack of money, No person to guarantee him for student loan.
      And the one who have everything, rich parents, Housemaids, Foods but doesn’t want to spend dads money but will study on his own expenses even though he don’t have funds.
      Society is a mixture of both Types of people Deserving and the one who already got everything but still enjoys the benefits of others.
      In economics we call them free riders, Scholarships and Seats for specific gender is a Merit Goods by government in which the people who have everything are becoming a free riders. Thus depleting the Supply of such goods and the deservings don’t get a chance to enjoy it.
      If a Women is getting a chance then boys should too. Why unequality? And the college we are talking about is FMS a tier 1 college. These colleges should encourage competition rather than gender inequality. There are tier 2 or tier 3 colleges, Let girls and boys get merit goods there. But in top tier colleges/universities. There should be no such provisions.
      FMS = Bright future -> More Demand but demand curve is filtered towards Only one gender Category -> Females.
      So initially, Females are getting everything, Seats in top tier and every single favoritism. Once a girl files an FIR against a boy, the boy is considered as guilty by society, Without even proving.
      Society does Takes a lot and harasses a female gender but it in the end it also gives back.
      For Boys it’s not like that, Till a certain age Boys are cared in the society based on his Fathers/Mothers identity. But when he steps out into the real world the entire society attacks at him for no reason. High expectations, Long hours of work, Wife’s/GF expectations, Childs expectations, Parents Expectations, More money to survive in inflation, Government Laws and many more.

      @@Theleojohn I personally think reservation should be on finance basis, and tbh just because a family is rich do not means they are not conservative, my friend who got married had the same family bg , rich but a conservative family and whatever the struggle you're talking about as a man lol, me and my sister are the eldest in my family and we think the same, to provide for our family, to fund our brother's education in future so that he do not has to worry about money while choosing his career like us. We do have the same problems too, but I'm not even a pseudo feminist or something but women definitely have to go through more. As being from general i used to think the reservation quota is unequal but no it's not, the atrocities our previous generation did has destroyed them, but yes consideration of creamy layer and non creamy layer should be done as well just like it's done in OBC, people with weak financial bg should be considered rather than caste TODAY.

      The weightage given to CAT scores is 60%, while the weightage for group discussion and personal interview is 15% each, and the remaining 10% weightage is given to academics and work experience. CAT percentile is not the only criterion for selection, final selection will also depend on your performance in group discussion, personal interview, and other factors such as work experience, academic background, etc.
