    FMS (Faculty of Management Studies), University of Delhi is one of India's most prestigious business schools known for its academic excellence, rich history and excellent ROI. With a fees of under 2 lacs, FMS offered its 2023 batch graduates a whooping average CTC of above 34 lacs per annum. FMS Delhi is often considered in the league of IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore and IIM Calcutta and a lot of aspirants even leave top colleges like IIM A, IIM B, IIM C, XLRI, etc for FMS Delhi.
    FMS was in the news for having the highest domestic CTC of 1.23 crores per annum. Probably the highest by any college in India. We will find out the truth and the reality of this 1.23 crores CTC in this video. Abhishek, a graduate of FMS 2023 MBA batch and also one of the toppers of CAT (99.99 percentile), got candid with us and shared invaluable insights about what goes on in FMS Delhi right from application, Interview, SOP, Campus life and Placements.

    My son is a General Non Engineer Male with overall 98.45 percentile in CAT. He got 74.31 percentile in QA. He got 93% in 10th, 91% in 12th and 6.2 GPA in graduation. By the way he is doing his BBA in IIM Ranchi through IPMAT. What are his chances to get a seat in FMS Delhi?

    • @collegeduniamba
      @collegeduniamba  6 месяцев назад +2

      Dear Sir. Congratulations to your son for a very good CAT percentile.
      However, FMS looks difficult as a lot of weightage is given to CAT score and usually most of 99+ percentilers fill its form.
      Lets wait for sometime to have a clear picture. Even if he doesnt get admission anywhere this year, he will still graduate from IIM Ranchi which is a great college with a great brand name

    • @collegeduniamba
      @collegeduniamba  6 месяцев назад +1

      Assuming you are a Male, General category Engineering graduate
      The low marks in graduation will not impact CAT prep at all. preparing for CAT has got nothing to do with what your graduation score was. This may have a slight impact in Interview shortlisting for top colleges, but that will be compensated with a very good CAT percentile and 12th/10th marks.
      As of now you are qualified enough for most top MBA colleges of India. Start your preparations asap !
      All the best.

    • @collegeduniamba
      @collegeduniamba  6 месяцев назад +1

      Yes. You have all the chances of making it to FMS Delhi for the following reasons
      1. They focus a lot on CAT percentile. Get an amazing score and more than half the task is done. You have one full year for this.
      2. They dont focus on graduation marks and you get full marks in 10th and 12th. So profile wise there is no difference between you an anyone else.
      3. They dont consider work ex in their admissions. So even if you have no work ex or a very good work ex it doesnt matter.
      For FMS all you need to do is get above 99.8 percentile in CAT and have a good PI. ! (80% weightage in final selection is for CAT Score, PI, Extempore and SOP Discussion.)

      Easiest bet for you would be getting into FMS. Since they dont consider anything apart from CAT percentile to call you for the interview. A good interview will ensure your compensation for less marks in 12th.
      Once you are in the college your marks dont matter much apart from Consulting and Finance placements. There is a very good chance of landing up a CTC above 30 lacs once you are in a college like FMS even with an average profile

      Usually, your salary increases every year due to increments. But even if there is no increament, the salary can reduce if there are components like one time joining bonus, one time retention bonus etc. Any such component which is payable only once will not be given the next year, so it may look like the salary is reduced, but it is not very common. In general, salary increases every year

      Your profile is quite decent and by interviews next year you'd have 2+ years of workex. Please consider IIM ABC too, all depends on your percentile as well tbh. So have the right strategy and routine for CAT 24 right now, don't worry about colleges too much.

      Hi Aviral
      Right now your focus should be on to work on quants extensively. Cover up the basics in the next 2-3 months (Arun Sharma's books are good to start with). Post that focus on mocks and see which kind of questions trouble you the most. Work on them again, repeat this till the last week before CAT.
      Your target should not be to think of a "Safe percentile" but to maximise your percentile as much as possible.
