You can get a free black Arabian in Saint Denis from a man who gets the horse stolen, it’s a chance encounter, you can return it but keep it
Wanted to show that off couldn’t get it to spawn for me unfortunately
This encounter also shows up occasionally in Blackwater in the epilogue

Thanks for this video Amy, very helpful! I've never gotten that warped arabian, or the red chestnut arabian. Oh, and just thought I'd throw this in... i found one of my favorite (also free) horses in the game are the mustangs. You can find a gray one in the Heartlands as early as chapter 2. And when fully bonded, they have full health, and full stamina bars. Not the fastest horse, but they're great otherwise. There's a tiger striped mustang that spawns in New Austin that's faster you can get with John, of course. Sorry for the long comment.. Awesome video!!!

On my first playthrough six years in (owned the game for 5+ years) and absolutely loving it. Who knew a video game could make me fall in love with horses?! Can’t bring myself to sell one of my horses to try an Arabian, but I’ll refer to this if I do. Thanks, and subbed

Tnx for good info. But there is an black Arabian and another white Arabian you can get. It's in chapter 3 when you do the horse theft mission from the braithwaites. But there is one other horse from that mission that's also worth a look. And that's the brown Turkuman. Just as you are delivering the horses. Get off your horse. Hold the menu tab and go to horse. Give it food or brush it until you get the bonding. Then deliver them and go back after the mission is done. Then you can whisle at it and it's yours 👌🏽All stallions

The Hungarian Halfbreed and the Andalusian ones are my favorites. You can also get a free Turkoman in the Chapter 3 breeder mission.
