      @@Yup712 Both yes and no. Xingji, bagua and taiji practice were separate. Santi (most basic stance in sun style) was emphasised as the core of practice across the three arts.
      Taiji is the ultimate goal, but foundations in xing yi and bagua are necessary to understand Sun Style as a whole.

    There are some approaches that we undertake as practitioners of traditional martial arts, to trace the roots of a martial arts style, including to ascertain whether the martial art can be deemed original or not, are as follows;
    1. Through the mention of names of masters, from the last master to the creator of the style. Then, verifying the names of these masters in historical records or conducting interviews with competent figures.
    2. Observing the form of its movements, particularly the function and purpose. Even though the movements might appear very different, certain small movements that demonstrate the function and purpose can reveal specific characteristics.
    3. The way of energy deployment can also be a source to recognize the roots of its style. Generally, traditional martial arts deploy energy by utilizing certain body structures, not just ordinary muscle exertion. From this way of forming body structure, which later forms energy deployment through certain muscle functions, the characteristics of its source can be identified."

    Yue Fei, an excellent general, fought many victories in the Southern Song Dynasty, where excellent war horses were scarce. He was even about to recover the lost northern territories of the Song Dynasty, but he encountered a weak and incompetent emperor and a cunning and cunning prime minister. The emperor was afraid of the powerful army of the Northern Jin Kingdom and only hoped to negotiate a ceasefire with the Jin Kingdom, At this moment, the prime minister spread rumors in front of the emperor that Yue Fei was an ambitious warlord, and in the end, the emperor killed this excellent general

    Yue Fei was a great hero that was born out of due time. His consuming passion in life was to lead his army all the way to the Jin Capital and rescue the two Song Emperors that had been captured and held captive by the Jin in order to eradicate the humiliation that the Song Dynasty had suffered. Unfortunately, in his relent pursuit of his objective, he had committed a cardinal political error that would cost him his life. What Yue Fei failed to realize was that if he were to bring back the two Song emperors, what would that make of the then ruling emperor? Would the ruling emperor be obligated to abdicate the throne in favour of the two returning emperors? And if not, would the ruling emperor be considered as usurper? The return of the two captured emperors would thus be a huge predicament for the then ruling emperor. Given that Yue Fei was absolutely determined in his pursuit. the only way for the emperor to solve his predicament would be to have Yue Fei killed. It is widely accepted that Qin Hui was the corrupt prime minister who plotted to kill Yue Fei, but it was obvious that Qin Hui was merely the fall guy who executed the plan. The real culprit behind the killing of Yue Fei was none other than the emperor himself.

    • @linshitaolst4936
      @linshitaolst4936 7 месяцев назад

      In history, Yue Fei has clearly stated that he is loyal to the current emperor and has changed the title of the two emperors in the north to royal relatives. Yue Fei's death was essentially a weak emperor who did not believe that the weak Southern Song dynasty could defeat the powerful Jin dynasty. Therefore, he only wanted peace negotiations, but Yue Fei was a tough hawk who did not agree to negotiations

    There is other side of the coin - General Yue Fei in his patriotic mind aimed to revenge against the invaders who had captured and taken the previous emperor and his father the previous - previous emperor, along with their wives / children / servants and government officials into slavery back to their own country ( the Humiliation of Jingkang (靖康之恥; Jìngkāng zhī chǐ) and the Disorders of the Jingkang Period (靖康之亂; Jìngkāng zhī luàn) - wiki ). He aimed to rescue them to take them back to South Soon. That means the presiding emperor had to worry about conceding power back to the previous emperor. So it was the presiding emperor who was worry Yue Fei's growing popularity will topple him over and allow the wrongful execution of Yue Fei. Another famous general sufferred similar fate at the end of the South Soon dynasty, and was wrongfully executed, and then nobody could stop the Qing anymore and Qing soon had toppled and ended the South Soon dynasty. History repeats itself during the CCP regime where the president leader ( chairman Mao ) had facilitated the shooting down of the airplane his second hand senior CCP officer who was trying to escape from Mao taking a flight into USRR

      While democracy is not perfect, but it will reduce the chance of bad dictatorship power monopoly and corruption because the people give and take the authority away from the government that is not functioning or achieving the result the people wanted, and no need for uprising or revolutions. Overall violence and innocent life lost would be kept to very low level and the guilty party held accountable when the law established by representative of the people are applied equally to common citizens or top political government leaders

    Tattooing was very expensive in Song. Yue’s mum was illiterate. It was probably the family Yue served as a kid that tattooed him.
    Qin Hui was not the real bad guy. He was used by the emperor, zhao gou, to frame yue.
    The background story was the jurchen already captured zhao gou’s brother (previous emperor) and their father(previous previous emperor).
    Song people wanted to rescue the 2 emperors from jurchen’s humiliations and zhao gou wanted to remain as emperor. And so yue fei was killed.

    One cannot learn ANY martial art from a book. No matter if its internal or external, soft or hard. Fun fact: Most martial arts are not as ancient as those in the West have been led to believe. Lies of physical prowess are common, indeed required.

      Yes you can. There are even martial arts designed to be learned from books such as some forms of military sabre, military combatives, etc... And it is especially true if you mean learn to fight from a book. HEMA has shown that it is possible to learn to fight from a book using very complex martial arts.

    • @Michael-yr5oq
      @Michael-yr5oq 8 месяцев назад +2

      @@CAwolfguy What do you disagree with that there aren't styles designed to be learned from books or that HEMA people who learn from books can't fight? Both are demonstrably correct.
      It doesn't matter how much experience you have, people historically have done it. These people have used these skills to fight in both tournaments and battles/wars.

    • @gunh4129
      @gunh4129 4 месяца назад +1

      Well, I think you are right and wrong in here. The right one is, that nobody can learn the exact martial art like the original writer of the book, no matter how you try. Because the book can't represent 100% of the writer's martial art skill. As you don't have the visualization of the original technique from the book. But, the book can inspired you to learn martial art in your term. By using the theory that you read from the book, and use your own martial art / experience to hone your martial art, based on the theory of the book. So basically, the martial art that you learn from a book can't be exactly the same as what the writer of the book intended you to learn. But it doesn't mean that you can't use your own creativity to build a martial art based on the theory of the book.

    Yuefei understanding of tactics was at its peak. Perhaps General Qi Jiguang of the Ming Dynasty was also a master of tactics, but he could only command battles at the brigade level or below. And Yue Fei can command at least ten divisions of troops. His masterpiece was during the Battle of Yancheng. The heavy infantry of the Song Dynasty defeated 15,000 heavy armored cavalry of the Northern Jin Kingdom. These cavalry were both human and horse-clad in iron armor. There were also 40,000 light cavalry on the left and right wings as tactical cover. In the Middle Ages, this kind of The army crushes the infantry like stepping on grass, and it is difficult for the infantry phalanx to win. And he used heavy armored infantry to chop down the knights with long-handled giant axes. In addition, he arranged a kind of infantry equipped with sharp sickles and spears to ambush in the haystacks and cut off the legs of the heavy armored cavalry, causing them to fall,The armor of these heavy knights is very heavy. If they fall from their horses, they have no strength to recover their physical strength and combat effectiveness in a short time.. Then the crossbowmen and hammer soldiers killed all the knights who rushed over and fell to the ground. The victorious troops that the Jin State was proud of were wiped out in this way. This battle directly led to the elimination of the effective forces of the Jin State's third offensive. They could only withdraw to northern China and shrink their strategy, which also led to the decline of the Jin State and the Song Dynasty. However, during the peace talks, Marshal Yue Fei was betrayed and killed as a political bargaining chip in the peace talks. A large part of the reason was the emperor of the Song Dynasty's fear of him, fearing that he had too many troops and was too powerful to prevent Yue Fei. The brother who rescued the emperor who was captured by the Jin Kingdom came back to compete with him for the throne.

    Yue Fei is not a martial artist, he is a strategist and military strategist. In addition, he is also very accomplished in the art of calligraphy and poetry.
    He is the only general in the 25 dynasties in Chinese history who has never been defeated.
    Listen, in the 4100 years since China's first dynasty to now, among the 25 dynasties, there is only one general who has no record of defeat.
    But he was killed by the emperor, and he was not 40 years old when he died.
