    The difference between a computer running a regular program and a computer running an AI program is the regular computer program is programmed with predetermine response based on possible conditions, when the AI program is presented with unforeseen conditions, it will give a response that wasn‘t preprogrammed. It’s like releasing the proverbial dogs of war to make its own decisions to conditions that weren’t expected. It would be like a human pilot confronted with conditions not in his original mission in a changing war situation in combat and making a split second decision without orders.

    • @switchdeck9164
      @switchdeck9164 20 дней назад

      AI is still trained on conditions it's not sentient it will do what it was taught to do based on learning algorithms programed by us. If it makes a mistake in a war zone, you lose a plane, not a human. Humans make terrible mistakes, too, don't forget.

    • @reecom9884
      @reecom9884 20 дней назад +2

      @@switchdeck9164 The difference is that the AI program adds and changes the algorithm based on information it gathers and not changes by a human. The concept of killing in a war to save lives is a contradiction or losing lives to save a few. The AI is logic without emotion and can react in unforeseen ways if it is allowed to add and change its algorithm.

    “Could”? I’d say it’s more a matter of “when” not “if”. That is a very important technology. People normally don’t realize that the most expensive item in a fighter jet is actually the pilot. To find the individuals capable of flying these machines, train them and retain them is a very expensive task. In war, to lose experienced pilots is worse than losing airplanes. You can manufacture fighters relatively quickly; but you cannot replace pilots that easily. AI would make that a very easy task if it works correctly.

  • @sigmann66
    @sigmann66 19 дней назад

    I'm no expert, but personally I think AI eventually would be better at this. For one thing, as planes get faster, it be increasing difficult for human pilots to be able to withstand such speed. I also imagine that AI would be more accurate and take more risks since pilot's life is not at stake.
