Wanted to share with you something that happened today.
I had my annual labs done today and I had to chuckle when everything came back great including my HDL and Triglycerides. BUT Lo and behold… My LDL was not so great and so my over all cholesterol was the highest it has ever been. 284
I know I am gonna get a call from the doc about it! She already wants me to have a carotid artery Ultra sound because I told her I think I am ok without statins. She said if the US came back ok then it would probably be ok.
Hmmm. Such a battle with the dr’s anymore. I know they are just following “protocol” but seriously? Even my liver panel came back almost perfect. I am in remission with Auto Immune hepatitis so what have I got to complain about! She even mentioned it was too bad that Insurance wont pay for the weight loss shot. WHAT?! I am NOT taking those shots! I am gonna do it the old fashion way.. diet and walking along with Pilates 2 x a week.
Good grief. I love her normally as she isn’t usually pushy but …
Just thought I would share that you are not the only one who seems to differ from the docs opinon.😊

Yum, now I want Mexican food😅 Just an FYI, in some states it is against the health code regulations to bring outside food into an establishment. As a former server/bartender/ cook, I unfortunately had to be the bad guy and inform people that they had to dispose of any items they brought in. I hated doing it, because I didn't think it was a big deal, but we all know how the government has to control every little detail of our lives😮 Happy 4th y'all ❤🇺🇲

We will be flying to Phoenix on July 4….what are we thinking? I’m sure the airport is going to be super packed..mind you, I haven’t been on a plane in 27 years. But looking forward to seeing the in-laws..his Father suffered a mini stroke about a month ago..hence our travel there. Thanks Paula for all you do..

Hi Paula. I thought you may have gone home to your other home, lol. I saw your short. It was about your planters and thought that was your house in the Detroit suburbs or area. I have cousins all over there. You and Ed seem to be spending a lot of time in Tawas lately. It looks like a lovely resort type of town. Very classy not brassy! I hear you both about bringing your egg life wraps. I think that restaurants now are cognizant of the fact that many people have food allergies etc. and need to accommodate their patrons. The fajita meat looked scrumptious! All I could think about while you were driving is that Ed had on a pullover. It was 97 here in the shade today so pullover weather sounds pretty good! I'm not walking outside, but I do workouts on my Peloton every other day which is less sweaty than walking outside right now. Ha!

I do the same, take me own chips because I’m allergic to corn! They never say anything.
Great video! I am finding now that when we go out to eat I can taste the oil in the food. It is probably not the best oil that they are using. I have to be very careful about what I order or I end up feeling really sick. It is nice to out but sometimes it just isn’t worth it for me .
